Edie Vajda

Writing a review on Unilocal is like writing a love song. Whether I’m in love or hating on love, I’m inspired to write about it for all the world to hear my joy, my pain, jump on the bandwagon and give my fueled feelings validation and worth. The words that we speak of the businesses we visit are a part of our constitutional right, FREEDOM OF SPEECH we say! Together we can build businesses up or take them down! I say, reviews can be great but take them as you would take a review from a vegetarian eating at a steakhouse… opinions are just that. Bad reviews for Edie are just that.
I want to share my love song of Edie for the world (of Unilocalers) to hear how she has changed my life. I have seen Edie for over 10 years. I notice how present she is during our conversations. She has an ability to pick up on common themes that have appeared and reappeared in my life that I was not aware of. Edie asks challenging questions. It may make you uncomfortable or feel threatened and maybe not ready for therapy on such a deep level. Because Edie goes deep. Her skills go beyond listening, she hears with an open mind, like I’m confiding in my best friend, yet she is not afraid to push me a little further. In that, she has helped me discover so much about myself that I would have overlooked. Feeling discomfort in therapy is a good thing. Because nothing grows in comfort and Edie has helped me grow a little taller, a little stronger and find the sun on the most gloomy of my days. I would recommend Edie to anyone and everyone who is ready for real life changes. She is one of the most genuine, caring and intelligent people I have ever met and I am so grateful to have found her.

Edie is a warm, caring, professional, and very skilled therapist. I started seeing her for some help with relationship issues back in February, and she helped us tremendously in identifying and working through a number of problems, and strengthening our relationship. She not only worked with us together as a couple, but also individually, which was GREAT for us. We recently relocated to the mainland, and even since we’ve been gone she has still sent a quick text a couple of times to see how things are going and wish us well – obviously with no charge. She has also agreed to help us find someone here to continue our work. Edie is great at her job, she’s a great person, and I highly recommend her as a therapist.

Edie is an an amazingly talented, insightful, and caring therapist. She helped me get through a rough patch quickly and I felt alive/​rejuvinated/​empowered after my work with her. Edie was very flexilbe in making both phone and face-​to-​face appointments. Her office staff were so friendly and were flexible about payments scheduling. Her fees are more than reasonable. Couldn’t recommend her enough!

This is my SECOND review for Edie. This review comes after my BAD review for Edie was mysteriously taken down on ratemds website. First of all, I would like to say you know it’s bad when your therapist has more problems than you!
I went to Edie for about three months to help me cope with my fathers terminal cancer news. When my father died, I was very at peace with his passing knowing he passed when we were on great terms. I’d like to say that I came to this realization not because she’s a great problem solver, but because she was someone other than my mom and immediate family. I sorted out these feelings on my own.
After my dad died she started telling me that I had all these abandonment issues and he was never there for me and if I saw her for a longer period of time, we could work on that. That really upset me because my dad NEVER abandoned me nor did he neglect me. Why would someone say that AFTER the fact that he died and there’s nothing I can do about these «feelings» she’s making up.
BEWARE OF SEEING EDIE. She is very MONEY HUNGRY. She will create problems that don’t exist so you see her for a longer period of time. Mo’ problems, mo’ money. I say this because when I initially met with Edie I knew exactly what my problem (s) were, I just didn’t know how to solve them.
Edie preys on weaker individuals and tricks them into thinking they have all these problems when they don’t. Edie also has tunnel vision. She comes up with assumptions about things & people which are not true and she can’t get her thoughts together and see that not everyone is the same!!!
Also, when I asked her to cancel all my future appointments, she went CRAZY! She called & texted like everyday for a few days. She left a bunch of voicemails that kept getting longer and longer as the days went by. Edie also resorted to a voicemail asking me to call her back because the «front office» brought up an «issue of concern». When I called the front office, they had NO IDEA what I was talking about.
Edie is a liar who will manipulate you into seeing her!
