Diamond Head Self Storage

Just wanted to leave an update because I have since left this storage place. I have been there for years and the reason I left is because they kept trying to raise my fees.
When I informed them that I was closing my account they were perfectly fine. They didn’t ask me for a reason or try and get me to stay. I also once asked if they would match a competitors price and the response that I got was” we don’t need to do that, if you don’t like the prices you can move your unit”. And they went into their moving out policy.
It seems like when I first made my review and moved in they were under different management. Since the change the place is always dirty and the new workers are very stale and seem to have no personality.

I used DHSS for about a year and some change. I have nothing but good things to say about them.
I initially went to Hawaii Self Storage down the street and was disgusted. Roaches everywhere, poorly lit, staff didn’t seem to care. Went down the street and was blown away!
I had my household goods and a car and motorcycle stored here.
The staff are awesome and always willing to help. They helped me jump start my car (After a year of sitting, the battery was long dead, not their fault). They were always friendly and remembered my name whenever I came in.
The storage units are air conditioned, well lit, and there are a variety of lockers for everyone. the FOB key elevators I considered a great layer of security cause you could only get off at the floor where your locker was located.
When I was moving my stuff out, I never noticed any evidence of rats or roaches.
The pricing might be a little higher then some other places but it is totally worth it. You definitely get the better bang for your buck here.
I highly recommend Diamond Head self storage for any military deployers or anyone else that has storage needs.

Being close to the airport we used Diamond Head to store our luggage while we island hopped and didn’t want to pay the fees that GO! Airlines charges. It was perfect and the staff was VERY accommodating. 24.50 for 5 days of luggage storage was a great deal for us and it was reassuring to have everything safe and secure while we traveled the islands.

I’ve been to several storage places and this one (airport location) is the nicest I’ve seen. The location is easy to get to off the freeway.
I like that it’s extremely clean and well-​lit. It’s a new facility with great air conditioning, which is nice. There aren’t strange people hanging around, which I noticed at some other storage places. Lots of carts, and a good elevator system. Their elevators are huge! I saw a guy wheeling a motorcycle onto one and into his unit. They issue a fob for elevator access and it will only take a person to the floor they’re authorized to go.
I’ve been going often for a couple of months and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

I used to have a unit at one of the Public Storage locations, and although Diamond Head Self Storage is priced higher, it’s totally worth it. At Public Storage there was a gate that you punch in a code and drive your car through, but at times the gate was stuck and anyone could go in and access the units. There was no climate control, and my unit was a maze away from the elevator. They also only had one cart available for all the customers to use, and if your unit was on the ground floor, it was subject to water damage in the event of heavy rain.
At Diamond Head Self Storage, you use a Fob to access the elevators, all the floors are air conditioned, and therefore so are the units. They have several carts available during office hours, and if you plan ahead, they will give you a key to access carts after hours. You can store your belongings here knowing that it will be safe and secure. Their loading dock is right in front of of their two large freight elevators, which makes moving in and out a breeze.
The customer service here is phenomenal. The people in the office always have a smile on their face, and know most of the customers by name. They offer services that other storage companies do not, such as copying, faxing, printing, and accepting mail and deliveries for you. If you want to have a meeting, they have a conference room with free wifi available for all their customers to use.
Compared to other places, these employees go out of their way to make the experience as pleasant and easy as possible for all of their customers.

I dropped by to look at their facility. With the great price, coupon discount, sense of security and helpful staff, I decided to rent their biggest unit. On the day of the delivery, the unit I picked out was too large, informed them of this and they got me a smaller unit with no hesitation. Even though I signed a 4 month contract for the larger unit, they had no problem tending to my needs.
FOB controlled elevators, CCTV, large elevators, readily available hand trucks, and environment controlled units sealed the deal for me.

Their storage fees are very affordable & the storage area for the cars are very secure. Due to last minute changes on my end, I didn’t need to put my car into storage. However, they have awesome customer service and they are willing to give you a tour before your purchase.

I actually intended on going to Hawaii self storage. And then I ran into this place since it was right down the street. So I toured it and toured hiss. Dhss wins hands down! It’s so much cleaner! And the staff is so friendly and helpful! I didn’t expect that continued customer service… I jus thought they’d be nice to make the sales like usual and afterwards forget and ignore you. But, nope! They even remember my name when I come in now. Totally recommend this place!

I’m currently car sitting for two of my buddies that are deployed currently to the middle east. They put their car here for storage. I asked them the price and they told me. I thought it was a little high at first, but when I went there to check up on them and start them up, they are for sure worth the price hands down.
The storage facility is new and clean. and I thought there was going to be issues with the flooding that happens around the area when the tide comes in, but i was talking to the girl that was helping me out start my buddies car, and she said that they raised the property about 4 feet to combat that problem. That alone knowing details like that about the property was great.
They facility has security cameras everywhere and all the employees communicate with each other on whats going on etc. Feels like a small family when you go there and put stuff in storage.
I could go on at the list of things that they did that made this company an outstanding storage company but I think you might have to experience it your self. would recommend this place for car storage to all my friends and family, no doubt.

I use DHSS to store my car when I go back to the mainland for extended visits. While this place costs just a little bit more than some of the other storage places I priced, it is very much worth it! The car lot keeps my vehicle out of the elements, so I don’t have to worry about that. There are security cameras everywhere that make me comfortable that no one is going to mess with my car– not that I drive some fancy-​schmancy car, but it’s the only one I have, so I have to keep it maintained, ya know?! What absolutely impresses me the most about this business is the customer service! The girls who run the front desk are great! They are polite and friendly and very helpful. The guy who works there, I believe his name is Brian, is great too. Last time, I had to quick drop my car off because my cab had arrived early, so I didn’t have time to disconnect my car’s battery. When I returned, my car was dead as dead could be. Brian charged my battery and made sure it was done so that I would be able to drive home safely. He was very friendly about it too. Between the security, facilities and the great staff, this place is worth the extra couple of bucks (and it really isn’t that much more expensive). Kudos to them.
