History

Established in 2012.

Caveirinha Jiu-​Jitsu Association has been a culmination of over 25 years of building strong bonds through the gentle art. Aldo «CAVEIRINHA» Januario has been at the helm of this association from the beginning.

With Professor Caveirinha’s his vast knowledge and student base, the Caveirinha Jiu-​Jitsu Family Association has grown to a worldwide network of schools. With affiliations in Brazil, United States, and Europe, the reach is the CJJF is one to be admired. Through hard work, honesty, and loyalty, many academies become successful on top of producing some of most talented jiu-​jitsu and mma practitioners today.

Aldo Caveirinha J.

Business Owner

Professor Aldo «Caveirinha» Januario is one of many Brazilians born into a family of modest means in a poor community in Rio de Janeiro. Sports, specifically Brazilian Jiu-​Jitsu, provided one of the few opportunities in life. Introduced to Brazilian Jiu-​Jitsu at the age of 7, Professor Caveirinha soon realized this was his calling.

Professor Caveirinha received his Black Belt at the age of 19 and began teaching in his own academy located in Belo Horizonte, MG. Since then he has been promoted to 3^rd Degree Black Belt; a level reached by only a handful of BJJ practitioners. The thrill of competition is in his veins and he has an impressive competition record to show for it. Despite a very promising future in competition, Caveirinha instead chose to focus on his real passion, teaching. His passion has led him to CULTIVATE numerous BJJ champions and the best thing is… he’s not done!
