Fantastic deserts! This year for Thanksgiving we wanted to bring something other than Pumpkin pie and the Chocolate Covered Strawberry cheesecake from Cake Envy was just the thing. Our friends and family were raving about it for weeks after.
The location is everything and for the price — you can’t get a better, more authentic cheesecake than this.

What’s your guilty pleasure? Mine is spending $ 6 on a single slice of cheesecake.
The first time I came here was on a whim. I was craving desserts and as luck would have it, they had the flavor that I had been eyeing on for a while — Crème Brûlée. I wouldn’t say I’m an expert on cheesecakes, but I think this might have been the best cheesecake I have ever had. If I was dying and could have only one request, I would say, «GO TO CAKE ENVY AND GET ME A WHOLE CAKE OF THEIR CREME BRULEE.» When I really like something, I end up always getting it… yes I’m that basic.
It was creamy and smooth. The top of the cheesecake was just toasted to perfection and as I bit into it, I could taste the caramelized goodness. I’ve tried their other flavors: chocolate covered strawberry, dark chocolate guinness, and signature pink velvet but none of them stood out for me like Crème Brûlée did.
If you plan on being a regular, sign up for their FIVESTARS reward card program! Even if you forget to bring your card with you, it can be set up to be linked to your cell number and/​or email so you’ll still be able to get points which is awesome. I think after my 2^nd visit, I already had an offer for a BOGO cheesecake! You already know I used it for TWO Crème Brûlées ;)
Oh yeah, if you’re ever curious about their flavors for the day — don’t be shy and give them a call! They are more than helpful in naming all the cheesecakes. Also, go early in case they do sell out. I remember I called them before noon asking for the Crème Brûlée, they told me there were 2 slices left. When I arrived, they were all gone. Lesson learned :(
I can’t wait to come back to try out their new gelato I keep hearing about!

Great News! Cake Envy has now added Il Gelato to its menu.
This Gelato is amazing and the best on the Island and has won International Competitions.
We only tried 3 flavors but there are several more on my list.
It’s great to have another option in Downtown for a Cold Dessert, plus Gelato is healthier than Ice-​cream.

We decided to grab some dessert after dinner at the pig and the lady. When we first walked in we noticed the owner and her friends enjoying their glasses of wine. Apparently they were open so we proceeded to order our cheesecakes. (no greeting whatsoever, we honestly thought there was a party happening) They run for $ 6 a slice and we also ordered the chocolate lava cake that was $ 5.
–Cherry Amaretto cheesecake: The cherry was pretty distinctive but the cheesecake was really crumbly? In addition to that the cheesecake barely had any crust. I’ve had better. (+2/​5)
–Crème Brûlée cheesecake: This was also really crumbly in consistency. Furthermore it tasted like plain cheesecake with a burnt topping. (The crème brûlée part was so burnt it was inedible) After a few bites we weren’t able to take another. (+1/​5)
–Chocolate lava cake: Tasted like a brownie with a fudge filling. I can’t believe i’m saying this but it really tasted like a box mix. (+1/​5)
I rarely give one star ratings but I am so disappointed. I will not come back. Now it’s time to get some cheesecake from otto cakes.

Lilikoi … Mango … Pumpkin … In fact all of them are sooooo ono!!!

I try to come here every other week to indulge in my sweet tooth and I’ve never been disappointed! I try to taste a different flavor every time I come too. My boyfriend, mom, dad, and sisters have all fallen in love with this place too!
The Lilikoi is my favorite!

I was walking around China town, craving something sweet, when I stumbled upon this little hole in the wall. When I first walked in, the aroma of cheesecake and sweet goodness filled the air. Their ambiance was was simple and «lady like», and their awards and menu were displayed on the wall. They also feature a good selection of local drinks (sodas and coffee). I was with two other friends and we each tried something different. Together we bought a plain cheesecake, crème brûlée cheese cake, and a cinnamon cheese cake. All were good, but pricey. Each slice ranged from $ 6 – 8. Also, according to the menu, an entire cake is $ 50.
This place is very good for cheesecake, and if you are willing to spend a little extra, I would recomend to give it a try.

Love this place! It’s super clean and cute inside! Located right across from the historic Hawaii theater. Great spot to come after lunch or dinner or a show at the theater! I love their Lilikoi cheesecake! Their flavors change day by day but it’s always worth coming to try different flavors. You can order by the slice or the whole cake.

I tried the pink velvet cheesecake and it was very delicious! It wasn’t too dense, not too light – just right, with a good flavor. It wasn’t too sweet and the portion size was just right. The shop was cute and clean, also the service was good. I can’t wait to try more!

Cheesecake, my favorite dessert for life! I read reviews and looked at pictures. This place looked like heaven to me. It’s located in downtown right across from the Hawaii Theater. It was a cute little shop decorate really simple and comfy.
Everyday, I believe they only have 6 flavors of cheesecake for sale. They have 60 flavors total?! Omg! While looking at the display case… nothing seemed to capture my attention. I’m here, so I decided to get the chocolate orange cheesecake ($ 6). We sat down by the bench with a bunch of pillows and a big sign on the wall that said delish. I took a bite of it and «WOW», I just felt a little of sweet heaven. It was really delish. It wasn’t heavy creamy cheese. It wasn’t too sweet. It was right for my tummy.
I wish that they would have more different flavor cheesecake. I would come back just to try something else. Definitely pricey for a piece of cheesecake. But can’t complain when the cheesecake is that awesome.

The best cheesecakes I ever had in my life. Shout out to my friend Gina for telling me about Cake Envy when it first opened up! I lost track of what flavors I’ve tried with my family, but nonetheless, we were never disappointed with any of them.
The décor inside is pretty cute and that sets the ambiance. The owner has a great personality, and so does her Team.

tasty cheesecake, friendly owner, great music. When I walk into a place a Tears for Fears is playing and the person at the counter answers confidently that she picked the music, I know it is going to be a great experience.
I believe the two times I have been there it is the owner who has helped me, I was too shy to ask, but we were actually talking about cheesecake making technique and other things that really showed an interest in the business. Plus it is a small kine place usually with two-​three cheese cakes and an angel food type cake and some bottled soda.
The interior is decorated in a utilitarian way, so I am not really inspired to stay a long time, like you would in a dessert/​coffee shop type place. Now I’ll just have to decide if I want to invent in a stand mixer to make cheese cake at home or continue to visit Cake Envy.

ARGH TOO MANY DELICIOUS CHOICES! That was my first thought when I walked into Cake Envy’s cute, inviting shop and looked at the display case that held all their cheesecakes. How are you supposed to choose between amazing and wonderful?! Such a first world problem, I know, but the dilemma I faced will undoubtedly be yours as well on your first trip to Cake Envy. From the tart goodness of key lime, to my default favorite strawberry, the scratch made, handcrafted cheesecakes all look too good to eat! Well… almost…the Great Wall of China wouldn’t have been able to hold me back from devouring my slice of heaven.
After much deliberation and second guessing, I decided on the crème brûlée cheesecake to be my champion. My coworker had raved in her review about how good it was, and her persuasiveness sold me. And just like she had mentioned, Cake Envy takes it to the next level by torching the top layer of sugar to give it that iconic crème brûlée look and contrasting texture.
On looks alone, Cake Envy’s cheesecakes are already perfect. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would eat again in a heartbeat. But the flavors and quality are what take their sweet indulgences to the levels of the stratosphere! Now, I don’t necessarily consider myself a cheesecake aficionado or anything, but having a body built by cheesecake and other sweets, I think I’m pretty well-​experienced to provide my opinion on all things desserts, and Cake Envy deserves a gold medal, gold star, certificate of awesomeness, etc. Cake Envy’s cheesecakes have that perfectly smooth texture essential to an award-​winning entry; not too dense, but not super airy and light either. It’s just the right balance to make you content without having that «omg why did I eat all of it?!» guilt later. And the flavors are extraordinary! In previous reviews, I’ve already admitted my sweet tooth affliction – the first step to living with any addition is acceptance – so it should be quite obvious how wide the smile on my face was after I took my first bite of sugary bliss. The caramelized sugar crust provides that satisfying contrast to the rich, smooth cheesecake, and yet it never feels overly sweet. I don’t want to sound like too much of a cheesecake snob, but I’ll never be able to go back to super market frozen cheesecake again. Cake Envy provides that kinda life-​changing experience and has found themselves a customer for life!

This place is adorable. I’ve gone in and eaten cheesecake as lunch just because it smells divine and makes you feel fancy while doing so!
The staff is super prepared to handle my indecisiveness and knows their product.
That being some of their concoctions fail to maintain the traditional cheesecake consistency. It ends up being crumbly and fluffy. This always disappoints me. While the flavors are well executed they lose me at the fork test.

I’m not sure how long they’ve been around, but I discovered Cake Envy as some friends and I went to grab a few beers at JJ Dolan’s and we walked past their storefront. A few days ago while downtown I stopped in to check it out.
Inside is a minimal but nice interior. It didn’t exactly seem like a welcoming atmosphere to hang out in, but decent enough to enjoy your after dinner dessert. The prices here were a bit high, coming in at $ 6 per slice of cake, and that is not exactly a huge slice we are talking about. They do have a good selection though, with a lot of traditional flavors, but some interesting options as well.
I tried both the pumpkin and the mint chocolate and I enjoyed both. They were fairly dense, but not so thick as to ruin it. The taste was strong and balanced without being overly sweet.
Overall, this is a good dessert shop and I think this would be a nice place to finish out a downtown dinner or date. In other words, «I’m a fan.»

I can greatly appreciate a dessert place that stays open later than most because I usually want dessert after dinner. I do have a wicked sweet tooth, yet I’ve never liked cheesecake all that much even from Cheesecake Factory, until now. It was 8pm when we strolled in here and they still had about 6 different flavors to choose from including orange chocolate, salted caramel, white chocolate raspberry, lilikoi, strawberry swirl, and crème brûlée. I went with the cashier’s recommendation of the lilikoi. It was creamy with a good balance of sweet and tart, but I couldn’t taste much of the lilikoi. The slices are somewhat small at $ 6 a slice. They offer coffee as well as some bottled drinks.
Service is friendly. The interior is clean with feminine pink and gray decorations and sayings such as «you know you want it» displayed on the walls and windows. Parking is metered in the street or at the nearby garage. There are a lot of eating establishments close by so Cake Envy is a great alternative option for dessert if the other restaurants don’t have what you’re craving for. Gotta love the name!

Ever since Cake Envy opened earlier this year, I kept walking pass the place so many times because I was either too full too eat or didn’t have the time to try it. I finally made it to Cake Envy early on September’s First Friday. I had high expectations for Cake Envy because their cheesecake looked so beautiful and appetizing.
Instead of the normal birthday cake, my friend wanted to try the cheesecake here as the birthday cake substitute. It was a difficult choice as they had a large selection of cheesecake. We settled on the pistachio cheesecake and also ordered some hot cappuccinos. Then we headed over to the bench tables by the wall to find some comfortable seating. The bench end by the window was a good spot as any and it was cool sitting by all the comfortable throw-​pillows. The interior’s ambiance was modern and clean. Ladies behind the counter were nice and very helpful with suggestions. 5 stars for their effort. Once they found out it was a birthday cake substitute, they gave us some candles for the occasion.

We stumbled upon Cake Envy after having dinner at a nearby restaurant and were happy to find a still open, eat-​in dessert shop. The interior is modern with feminine touches and there are a few tables to sit down and enjoy your cheesecake, and coffee or tea, on disposable plates and dixie cups.
There is a rotating selection of cheesecakes to choose from in the display case. A small slice is $ 6 a piece. The cheesecakes are creamy, true to flavor, and most are light/​whipped/​airy in texture, unless you choose a flavor like Peanut Butter which had a denser consistency. The flavor you choose may also affect the moisture of the cheesecake, we found the Blueberry Silk to be the wettest of the the cheesecakes we tried.
They also do a nice job of packing whole cheesecakes/​cheesecake slices to go, making this a nice dessert to bring to someone’s house or to carry back to the office. Treat yourself or impress your guests with cheesecake from Cake Envy.

I came here looking for a cheesecake that I needed the next day because another order I had fell through at this other place and left me In a tough spot. After speaking with Amy the owner, she said she needed 48hrs notice but she was kind enough to make her wonderful Chocolate Strawberry Cheesecake because she did have the ingredients to make it that day to be picked up the following day.
When I returned the next day it was ready and Niceley sealed with a ribbon and the store logo sticker on top. Not to mention that she cut the cheesecake for me into sixteen pieces without showing the cut on the edge of the cake and a strawberry for each piece. No way would I be able to cut it like the way she did.
Thank you Amy for doing this order at the last minute and it was a pleasure to meet you as well. If you are on the hunt for great cheesecake and awesomely friendly customer service, this is definitely the place you want to be.

Not your ordinary New York style cheesecake! LUST for chocolate, INDULGE in flavors and SINFUL fruit textures and then joins the IMPOSTERS!!! A definite must try if you enjoy deserts and fluffy light cheesecake!!!
