When my parents passed, I didn’t know what to do — dealing with grief and worrying about the legal matters that follow death. Mr. David Larsen (Atty) helped me navigate through what I thought would be intimidating and cumbersome. He is not the proverbial «shark» that most lawyers are made out to be. Mr. Larsen is warm, kind-​hearted and genuinely cares. The trust that he created for my parents made the legal mumbo jumbo easy. In fact, he even told me that he promised my mother that he would make sure I was okay after they were gone. Every year, after my father and my mother’s deaths, he would set up appointments with me. It wasn’t because there were problems with the trust — it was to keep his promise to my mother.
I’ve since learned that Mr. Larsen has retired, and his «right hand», Ms. Rhonda Griswold has taken the reins. It has been several years since my parents have passed, and much to my dismay, I find myself needing help with a legal trust matter. Ms. Griswold, Arlene and Summer have been so helpful…
Just as a side I remember having to turn in some papers at court — the worker there asked me who the trust attorneys were. I said, «Mr. David Larsen of Cades Schutte.» He replied, «Oh! Larsen and Griswold. Cades Schutte… they’re good. Everything should be in order.» The next thing I knew, my seemingly long list of «things to do», turned into one simple form.
