Ashton C.

Business Owner

Ashton started his first business at the age of 23 after finishing his degree in Computer Science from Brooklyn College, City University of New York in 1995. Since then he has developed and grown as an entrepreneur, trainer, facilitator and coach. Ashton moved to Hawaii in August of 2001, and several years later in 2007 started Hawaii Medical Institute DBA Hawaii Medical College, which is an accredited institution focused on training allied healthcare professionals as medical assistants, billers, coders and pharmacy technicians. Under Ashton’s leadership the college has seen growth every single year and was selected for Hawaii’s Fastest 50 in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. Ashton’s passion is experiential learning, he believes that true learning happens by doing. He understands in a very fundamental way what it means to have clients/​customers and employees depend on the business to provide for them. Therefor he wants to help business owners run stronger, healthier businesses.
