Dr. Thomas’ mission is to provide consultation to patients in Hawaii who have been diagnosed with complicated and complex infections that are often beyond the scope of primary care.
History
Established in 2015.
Dr. Thomas completed medical school at Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, GA. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Hawaii, John A Burns School of Medicine. He then went on to do Infectious Diseases fellowship at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. In July 2015, Dr. Thomas and his family decided to move back to Hawaii to start his Infectious Diseases private practice.

Dr. Thomas has specialized expertise in many areas, including:
General infectious diseases — Treats infections of different etiologies and of different organ systems, from bacterial pneumonia, Clostridium difficile colitis (C. diff) to viral meningitis.
Infections related to immunodeficiency — Provides care to patients with suppressed immune systems, such as those with bone marrow transplants, solid organ transplants, cancer, or other forms of immunodeficiency.
HIV — Provide HIV specialty care and HIV prevention services (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis).
Bone and joint infections — Provide care for patients with bone and joint infections, such as osteomyelitis or prosthetic joint infections.
