Iwilei location — My daughter had a haircut/​condition with Zee and it was turned out great! She did the long layers as I asked and was very patient and sweet with my 8yr old. The manager (I think?), Ben, came over several times to check on us and finished the blow out and style himself. He then squeezed in my 4yr old for a quick wash/​cut as well. Very friendly, clean, and great customer service. Did I mention that we used a Groupon for my 8year old? No attitude (like some places), no «hidden fees», nothing but great service. We will definitely be back.

wasnt what i expected… the skinny older lady is nice but she talks way too much couldnt even wash or straight my hair right. She was rushing to do everything instead of making my hair look right. she said she has over 30 years of experience BUT messed up on my boyfriends haircut? OMG it was so bad he had to go upstairs to Thoms to fix it! and Mey the lady in front always look out of it… place needs serious help.

I came in on V-​Day looking for Pravina to get my brows threaded, but couldn’t find her so I stumbled upon this salon. Pravina is the best threader you can find on this island. I come from LA where threading is an actual art. I’ve lived here for 5 years and have yet found a person who takes threading seriously. Mariam was able to squeeze a last minute appointment for me. I was desperate and it was V-​Day so I sat in her chair. She was rushing, whole thing took about 5 minutes. I had asked her when she trims my brows to not trim them too short (I like them a bushy) and instead she replied with «I’m just not gonna from them». When I looked in the mirror her work wasn’t the worst but it wasn’t the best.

First the staff are beyond amazing and the pricing is perfecto. Tiffany my massage therapist whom i see on a regular now out performs anyone on the island. She has a unique gift from all the stressed areas on my body. She coaches you thru breathing, and makes sure at the end you feel renewed and refreshed. The front staff are stellar. BUT TIFFANY? Well all i can say is, she’s a blessing to the BODY —

I received the worst pedicure ever back in December 2015. The technician… I believe her name is Lindsay (tall white female) is terrible at doing pedicures.
After I complain about the pedicure she tells me she barely knows the basics about pedicures. What’s even worse is that the business would allow her to do pedicures even when they know she didn’t have enough training.
I question the business acumen of the owners. If they feel it’s OK to put any person to do your treatment then obviously they don’t value their customers and thus future customers!
I would avoid this location and all their locations at all costs.
Update 2÷5÷16: when I posted this review I was called back by the manager Anita and then Mae to offer me a redo of the pedicure by an experienced nail tech. I called back in December and spoke with Anita to schedule a redo. I was informed she could not fit me in until after the 18^th of Dec. I was leaving for the holidays on the 14^th and not returning until 7 Jan 2016. I have called 4 times since I have returned inquiring about the redo and I have yet to receive a return phone call.
I just noticed my first post was removed. I believe the removal of my post explains the reluctancy to redo the pedicure. There are many places that give good pedicures. Please do not waste your hard earned money to receive bad service.

Terrible! Went to get my eyebrows done and the girl didn’t even know what she was doing. She scratched my eyelids and made them uneven! Never going there again! !

Best Brazilian Ever
I lucked out big time with a quick google search: I had just arrived in Honolulu from Portland, and Beyond Bare showed up as the closest and best bet spot to get waxed. I called to make an appointment and since their main spot was so booked (it was New Years Eve) they got me in at their other spot, BB, with a waxer whose name I’m really sorry I forgot:
In ten years of Brazilian waxes with at least a dozen waxers (some I never return to, others I mourn the retirement of, my current ones at home I’m less than thrilled with), the woman I got that day was by far the best I’ve ever had. Like, next level best. She worked silently and quickly — I’ve never really been into the pointless small talk other waxers have subjected me to and who they themselves seem distracted by. I felt so little sting I was beginning to wonder if she was really removing hair at all, but lo and behold: I was hair free and my skin looked as though nothing had even occurred.
I’d been getting such bad waxes here in Portland, a place where a lot of Brazilians happen and there should be no excuse for bad waxers, I was beginning to wonder if my skin was getting overly sensitive, with lots of redness, peeling, and ingrowns. And my waxers here did a good job convincing me that I was the one changing/​it was my fault. Sheesh.
I’m now two weeks out and am wishing I had a budget to fly to this place just to get waxed next month. From the person on the phone who booked me to the waxer to the woman who cashed me out, I’ve never had a better customer experience at a salon.
To the waxer: a platinum/​silver pixiecut young angel, you’ve given me reason to fire my current waxers. I’m ruined happily thanks to you. Thank you thank you!

I go to Hera at BB Salon and she always makes me feel fabulous!!! She really pays attention to what you want and takes her time doing it. She gives the best shampoo massages and is the sweetest ever!!! Thank you Hera!!!

I’ve been seeing Maryann for my eyelash extensions and she is amazing! She really does an amazing job recommending the best style for you. She is very thorough with her work and when I get my lashes with her it actually lasts longer than anywhere else. I definitely recommend anyone to see Maryann! 5 stars for this Salon!!!

I recently had my hair done by Grace for a color and cut and she did an amazing job! She was very professional and knowledgeable and gave me many suggestions for my hair do! The salon also offers a complimentary chair massage which was a treat! I recommend anyone looking for a hair stylist to go see Grace!

I am so disappointed I went here. I had a specific style I wanted done for a wedding but it really wasn’t that difficult just structured waves. When I showed the stylist the pictures of the style I wanted she told me she would have to charge extra because it was too complex. I was a little frustrated with that because I didn’t agree– it was not an updo and didn’t require any pinning. But I figured that was fine until she didn’t even get it right at all. It fell flat almost by the time I walked out the door and looked nothing more than a nice blow dry that I could have done at home and saved myself the $ 75! They are not very skilled here.

Worst experience with a salon, ever. I would never recommend this place to anyone. I booked my appointment In Person at the location on the 4^th floor of the mall. The concierge did not tell me that my appointment would be at a different location. I was very excited to have my nails done. Today, I get a call saying that they need to either change my time or reschedule. They also had no idea that I had booked a manicure/​pedicure and said that I could only have one. When I explained that I booked my services in person, the girl told me that they had no note of the services I booked. I accepted the time change to come at a later time. However, when I got to the mall, I could not find the other location and the maps at the information center are wrong. I called the main salon and asked what stores they were next to, but the idiot at the front desk had no idea. How do you change salon locations and not inform your staff to properly direct their clients to the new location? Educate your staff, BB Salon. After calling numerous times and getting basically zero help, I gave up. Horrible experience.

This salon is hands down amazing. I am very particular when it comes to my hair being colored. so when I came in I explained exactly what I wanted and had a picture to give the stylist (JOZAD). My hair desperately needed help and she did magic on me I swear. She is the color/​ombré queen, just hands down amazing work. I wouldn’t let anyone else touch my hair ever again here on the island because Jozad understood what I wanted and gave me exactly that. I could not be happier with my ombré and the experience overall. 1000 Stars for this salon.

This is my first review for BB Salon and Spa but I usually go to their other store Beyond Bare Waxing and Beautique regularly. I had my first hair cut yesterday and Grace did a wonderful job on my hair. I left with my hair feeling soft, clean and layers cut so nice. As usual, I am never disappointed going there. This new salon is clean, spacious and all lots of privacy, areas are separated for privacy to do waxing, manicure and pedicure and even get a massage while doing it. Mae, the owner is very polite and helpful and always tries to accommodate your schedule. Never disappointed going there. I went from doing my waxing, doing my hair and what’s next? Maybe I’ll try a facial. Before you know it, I will be going there for ALL of my beauty needs. As usual happy customer and will be going back!

Grace did my cut and color about two weeks ago and she is AMAZING! She really took her time to make sure I loved my cut, consulting with me about layers, length, where I part my hair, etc so that I had no problem managing my shorter ‘do.
Omg…and can we talk about the scalp massage while she shampoos your hair? So relaxing… zZzZzZz
I told her what I wanted for color and we talked about different tones of the color since I’m so fair. We ended on a plum-​y red which compliments my skin.
My boyfriend also comes here to get his haircut and she’s so diligent about making sure everything is trimmed and even on each side. So impressive!

I’am writing this review about hair styling service only, as I it was very disappointing experience for me. first of all staff is very nice, very helpful, easy to get appointment, i got the service done right on time, did not have to wait, that is plus. However when i came to make appointment i asked to give the approximate price of the service, I also wanted to use my extensions so the lady who booked me told me that it would be around 60 $, and she did not tell me that i have to wash my hair myself and then come there, anyways my stylist told me that she gonna charge me for washing my hair, i told her that you should tell this things in advance, i would have washed my hair my self instead of being charge so much for that, but i did not have any choice, i asked her to use my extension as i wanted more volume, but she told me there is no need on putting extensions on, ok i thought it will be cheaper then than the price i was told in advance. anyways i wanted my hair to be curled but when my «stylist» started to do it it did not look right and she was complaining that my hair can be curled right and so on, excuse me i have done my hair curled thousands of time, so I know how it supposed to look like!!! I felt like she just does not care, if u are professional stylist doing as u claim professional styling u should figure out yourself what to use to make hair be curled, u should use Iron straightener or small curling iron if u see that big one does not work. any ways what she did to my hair o could easily do at home my self, it;s not even near to be called professional styling and they charged me 114 $ for this. i just had to run to my next appointment and i did not have time to ague, i just regret so much to pay so much money for nothing, when i came to my other appointment to do my make up there were asking me if i m going to do my hair, when i told them that i just did it and was charge so much everyone was shocked, and everyone suggest me to go back and claim it to be redone, i just did not have time to go back which i hesitate a lot! i ll never go back there again!

Brand new salon in the old W Salon location in Ala Moana center. Its actually a connection to the Beyond Bare Waxing center which is on the 4^th floor. The place is clean and pedi chairs are in new condition still (I say this cause I believe its the ones from W Salon).
I came here cause of a Spa Mani and Spa Pedi deal I bought from their online site for $ 42.
I called after 1 today hoping they could squeeze me in. Thankfully they could at 230pm. I arrived a few minutes early and greeted by a friendly face. I saw the young lady who would be taking care of me leave the area. I have to be honest and say I was a bit worried… She seemed inexperienced, didn’t have the cheery disposition, young. What did I get myself into? This is what I get for going somewhere new!
On my way to the chair she brings me to pick a color, I pick one and cooly mention that I’ve never heard of Butter before (the nail polish brand), silence… awkward. I sat in the chair to do my Mani first… She seemed a little cold in her conversation, more awkward. But as time went on, she warmed up and so did I. She actually had a friendly personality, serves me right to judge her!
She had unique techniques of holding her tools, but to each their own. She did have a heavy hand while pushing down my cuticles, but it didnt hurt, i just felt like, you go girl, clean those nails! They also use Keratin gloves for your hand which sanitizes and moisturizes and the same your your feet, which I thought was neat. None of the stick your hand in a bowl action here. It really did make my hands and feet super soft! Her massages were amazing for both my hands and feet. I felt rejuvenated.
I’m so glad I came here and met this young lady. Although she may be a bit awkward at first I guess that’s just her way to test her waters. But she’s super nice, manga loving who loves her job and animals. Yes, that’s the random things our awkward first meet brought us too! So if you want to try her out, her name is Desiree. Otherwise, I’m sure there are other great gals in this new spot!
