1^st time calling this company and scheduled I told April to make sure they show up bec I read some of the reviews in Unilocal and there was time they cancelled apts, so she said ok. After hanging up the phone I thought everything was ok, after 5 mins she called me back with attitude saying she didn’t like what she heard and there’s times they have to cancel, so I said ok. I know fr the beginning this person in charge has an attitude. 4 of them showed up at my 1^st cleaning service and couldn’t get a good job done. They came just to clean not to plan on coming back, their boss named April is not so personable, she really do has an attitude not just over the phone. I said thank you for coming when she was cleaning my kitchen and didn’t even respond, geezzz. Okay so for 45 mins and 4 manpower, they couldn’t even do a good job. Waste of my money, I can clean better than them but just don’t have extra time that’s the reason why I hired cleaners. Oh well that’s the 1^st & last. Would never recommend them to anyone. That’s just my honest review.

I would go with zero stars if I could and I have plenty of reasons to support it. I hired them about 9 – 10 months ago to clean my townhouse every two weeks. From the get go, there was always a problem. Don’t let them in your house. Negligent hiring practices, disorganized, bad key accountability, sloppy work.

I bought the Living Social deal for 3 man hours of cleaning because I was 8 and a half months pregnant and didn’t have the time or energy for a top to bottom cleaning. The company sent two young women who arrived on time and were overall very pleasant to deal with. I was really impressed with the bathrooms (spotless!), but they hadn’t dusted in my daughter’s room. They also didn’t get to the ceiling fans or baseboards like we had discussed. It wasn’t as thorough as I would have liked, but the bathrooms really were sparkling so that kind of made up for it.

I purchased a voucher through Amazon for 50% off of kitchen cleaning.
I had a 10:00a appointment and at 10:20a I called them to ask if they were coming. They responded they were on their way. [Why would they not call and say they are running late?]
They arrived at 10:45a. The owner came in and stared at me and asked «what do you want»?
I informed her I wanted my kitchen cleaned «inside and out» per the Amazon advertisement. I said I also wanted our shutters to be wiped cleaned.
The owner then said that with the three man hours purchased + an additional one man hour they would be able to clean «small» kitchen, clean small bathroom, clean master bedroom bathroom and eight interior window shutters.
WRONG! The owner’s worker was very proficient, worked his butt off, cleaned the small bathroom thoroughly, cleaned 90% of window shutters I asked to be cleaned and cleaned the interior of the refrigerator.
Meanwhile the owner who told me the kitchen was small and wouldn’t take long to clean spent
2 ½ hours slowly cleaning it. What she did in 2 ½ hours, I could have done in 1 hour. In cleaning the overhead microwave oven she only cleaned the circular glass top, not the sides of the microwave oven!
I am so disgusted how she can tell me my kitchen is so small and can be cleaned quickly and then spend 2 ½ hours cleaning it. She could have easily cleaned my master bedroom bathroom. I even removed everything off the countertop. So pissed off!
I would not refer this company to anyone.

I purchased the LivingSocial coupon a couple of months ago and decided to schedule an appointment with them before it expired next month. The lady who scheduled my appointment gave me some pushback when I asked for a Saturday appointment, saying that they don’t schedule «coupon appointments» on Saturdays. I requested a Tuesday appointment, but those were unavailable. We ultimately settled on a Saturday (today).
The one-​person crew showed up on time, while the others were «running late» (they actually did not show). She stayed for the whole three hours. In the end, the bathrooms, kitchen and floors were clean and spotless. The carpets were also vacuumed, and the coffee table was cleaned. However, the shelves weren’t dusted. Overall, she did a fine job.
Would I use them again? With some planning and a coupon, perhaps.

«I guess it’s the saying you get what you pay for!» I saw on amazon local a great deal was looking to maybe finding a once a month house cleaning for our condo. Of course, I know it was cheap so I figure we’ll make it through tipping. I called the number at first, no answer so I left a voice message and sent them an email the same day. Waited 48 hours no call/​email. Call again telling them I already sent an email/​voice message but, no returns… Finally she calls– sorta monotone voice, no apologies for returning my phone call. Set up the appointment and moving forward and I’m Thanking her for her business! LoL. Tryna break the tension. I call her a few days prior to the appointment to give her instructions– «Can you text me, I’m working» okay, text her all the info and apologized for the inconvenience. The day of the cleaning she totally forgot about my instructions of my text after she confirmed with me «K, Thanks» to me, it’s telling me you read the text and your confirming you got the instructions. So finally she figured it my husband was waiting for them to come. We gave them I think a nice tip for just coming. But, I don’t think I’ll ever buy another house cleaning amazon, groupon, or any online special coupons. It was a okay job, nothing really like WOW, there amazing… I’m calling them back to see if I could have them come once a month… To me it is about the cleaning but, more importantly it’s also about the Customer Service that you give. You say on your website that you take pride in the integrity of the name/​business. I am a strong advocate for small local business striving in the Islands of Hawa’i. I know it’s difficult but, when you treat your customer with no respect, no mana, no aloha, you lose out big time. You need too learn to take a breather and enjoy life before you make yourself stress out with advertising groupons/​amazon/​and so forth. Remember, rule of thumb– Customer Service is First before your own business… and you need to put Pride with humility in your work– enjoy it, dont let your business run you… Let YOU run your business so you can enjoy it a little more and people can actually feel your smile through the phone. And no, I dont want you to come back and redo the cleaning! Just take note for future

All I can say is «awesome!» They really worked with me to accommodate my schedule. They showed up on time & went straight to work cleaning my home. I’m so happy with the results! My home is the cleanest it has ever been. Thank you so much. I highly recommend them. True to their word, they were in & out in 1.5 hours. Wonderful!

I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. First of all, I am a very nice person. When I called to set up an appt, it was bc my email inquiry that I sent from the company website went unanswered. We set up a meeting time for a move in cleaning at 10:30am. For a 900 sq ft condo, the owner quoted ME $ 150 for an hour. She said it would only take an hour to clean that sq footage with four people.
She showed up THREE hours and 10 mins late from our scheduled appt time with 2 people. After an hour and a half, she told me they were done bc they ran out of time. The floors had NOT been vacuumed or swept, the toilets had poop marks in them (that were not there when they started), there were dust piles all over the floors where she used a flat mop to move them into the corners and she told me she swept four times. Complete crap. I was picking up large pieces of dust all over the floor and showing them to her. Her reply was they ran out of time to clean. Is this how you run a business??? You show up three hours late and STOP bc you don’t have time to do your job?! The website also says they return if the work was not done to standard. I called today for the toilets to be cleaned, and got the NASTIEST voicemail from the owner that not only was she not coming back to do the work, but she will not be recleaning as the website states. Stay away from this company — clearly she has NO idea what customer service means. The BBB will hear about this too.

I used the living social coupon deal. The quality of the cleaning itself was a five out of five stars (better than two previous companies). However, I had to argue with this company to make a weekend appointment. Despite nothing on the living social website prohibiting weekend appointments, I was told they do not do coupon deals on the weekend. After requesting a refund I was allowed to schedule on Saturday morning. Would definitely use again minus the scheduling issue.

The person running this business is sloppy, forgetful and spastic. Not sure if she needs ADHD meds oran office assistant or what.
I purchased a voucher from Amazon Local. Got no confirmation of anything. I called them and asked, «what’s the next step?»
The owner (the person I am guessing is the owner, as she always answers) said to me, «once you buy the voucher we call you to set up the cleaning. we needd to know what you want done for those 2 hours»
Me: «um, I bought the voucher — about a week ago — that’s the whole reason I’m calling you now»
She seemed flustered and confused.
Her: «Ok, well when do you want us to come and clean?»
We set up a date.
The cleaners arrived at my house early.
One of the cleaners called me, sounding like a scatter-​brained teenager: «um, sorry, we’re at your house kind of early. do you just want us to clean now or come back later?». I said early was fine.
I have a houseguest but she was still asleep when they arrived (so probably could not hear them from the back of the house) — so i texted her a heads-​up that cleaners were there just so she wouldknow they had got there early.
i had left a said door open that can self-​lock on their way out, for convenience (but on second thought, i probably should have personally been there to supervise!).
About 1.5 hours later I got a text from the owner again (and about 4 or 5 calls and a vpice mail) stating that she could find no record that I had paid. Again, she seemed confused and spastic. «Sorry my housekeepers SHOULD NOT have cleaned your house without the voucher code. I can’t find you name on my list anywhere». I got the feeling she’s been robbed before or something.
Mind you — she NEVER ONCE verified a voucher code when i called her to schedule and the housekeepers went ahead and cleaned without the voucher. I was not aware that the voucher needed to be left somewhere for them (my bad), but the accustaory tone was NOT COOL. I quickly verified with my bank and AmazonLocal that the voucher was paid (almost a month in advance of the service) and I gave her the code.
My whole intent on trying this service was to see if they would be a good fit for me as a housekeeping service (my last housekeepers I used for over a year but their cleaning seemed to get less thorough and i noticed they were using some of our household cleaning supplies; also; I frequently had to track my payments and explain to teh owner that the cleaning had already been paid for.; this was because she would bill me prior and then again after the cleaning. I finally had to tell her «DO NOT send me the bill until AFTER the cleaning and put the date of the cleaning on EACH INVOICE — one bill per cleaning please!’)
Anyway —- I thought Apelila’s would be better. I was WRONG.
I WILL NOT BE HIRING THEM. At least the trial was worth finding out that they are not suitable: too disorganized and perhaps too inexperienced /​young?

The two man crew showed up and worked exceptionally hard to make sure my apartment was spotless. They were friendly and accommodating and managed to clean all the things that had been troubling me for months. The oven was spotless, the bathtubs were sparkling and all the dust from my trade wind windows was gone.
Not only that but they were also less expensive than anyone else. I would definitely recommend them to anyone else who is moving out and wants to get their whole security deposit back.

Two person team came to my place as I had purchased a clean kitchen Amazon Local. That gave me a two person 1 ½ hour each to clean my kitchen. Arrived on time and went right to work while I worked in my office. I could hear little chit chat which is fine when you are working. They cleaned my kitchen by moving a few things, here and there and I was happy with the progress as time went by. I asked if they could do the refrigerator, they called the owner and she told them it was okay.
Refrigerator cleaned, front side wiped down, but the other sides of the refrigerator was not. I was going to put some things away when I noticed a spot near the microwave that had been missed. I was sorely disappointed because they left 10 minutes early after they said that they were done.
Checked the upside of my kitchen cupboards and it was not dusted like how I requested.
Will I utilize their services again, IDK as I was short 10 minutes which they could have used for dusting the upside of the kitchen cabinets.

I started using Apelila’s on an Amazon coupon. Just thinking, cause I got it through there that they would not do half a decent job as they should have. Boy, I was surprised. They left my home immaculate. Everything I asked for and more. The cleaners were as professional as could be. They also cleaned things I did not ask for. I thought maybe it might be a fluke. So, I requested them a 2^nd time. They did even more than I requested the first time around. I extended the hours the 2^nd time and they were able to get to quite a bit more. I have used a couple of cleaners and even though I no longer have Amazon coupons to use for there services, they are worth every penny offered. They leave my home feeling so clean, I thought maybe I could eat off the floor (they get on there hands/​knees to clean them). I will definitely be using them in the future for all my cleaning needs.

Extremely upsetting, I would not even give them one star if I could. Not only was this a a waisted $ 44, as they never came, but they way she spoke to me was completely unacceptable.
It was not only difficult to pin her down to schedule the cleaning (about 10 calls back and forth) but at every call she was rude, unprofessional and condescending.
I will try to contact the Amazon Local team, as I believe to offer this type of company very much invalidates their credibility. I will never buy a special with them again for sure.

Friendly but very inefficient. ONE HOUR late and not in any hurry once they started. I had to be at work at 5 pm and almost did not make it.
Carpets did not come as clean as with other methods.
The cleaning products are just meh. the Malealuca brand is over priced but is not that great imo…
My kitchen was spotless and looked great on the upside of the deal.

the carpet looks like it was not even cleaned at all.
I am SO lucky I went back over to my old place before I turned my keys in because this was the mess I was left with by the «cleaning company»…

I found Apelia’s through a great special on Amazon local. Since then, I have had them visit 5 times. I referred them to my daughter and my neighbor. We are all VERY happy with their service. Once, when they were stuck in traffic, they phoned. They were 5 minutes late. They are efficient, friendly, and punctual. I have been very pleased.

I called and it was a last minute appointment thanks to an unreliable service I had scheduled. They not only accommodated my request for the time frame but they were absolutely fantastic. It was a move out cleaning and when they finished I was truly amazed at the difference. The townhouse sparkled. It took them only two hours and that include cleaning the carpet. The carpet alone was worth hiring them. I will call them again the next time I’m in need of a cleaning service! Thanks April and Crew!

Didn’t show up, didn’t call. I left a voicemail ½ hour after appt. Canceled with Amazon Local. Then she says they couldn’t find me house (via text) when the number is on the mailbox. Then she stated she didn’t have the correct phone number. Don’t waste your time…

Two person team came out to clean my little 650 sq ft apartment because I was moving out. $ 140 for a little more than an hour. They were all business, did a great job. My condo neighbors complained because of the smell, but really, the smell was a sign that my place was getting cleaned. I was especially happy about my bathtub. You know the caulk that goes around the seams? Well, those havent been cleaned in a little while and I expected to have to rip it out and recaulk it. Nope, they were able to get it all out! Amazing. And all my stainless fixtures were like new. My stove and hood were sparkling.
I hate cleaning, and this team made me realize that I should do this pro cleaning more often. Great job!

Below are the reasons, I’m completely unsatisfied with Apelia’s In & Out Cleaning:
1. They were late. Appointment was for 10:00AM, they came at 10:15AM. (I’m sorry, if I’m paying you, you better come on time, give me advance notice that you’ll be late or apologize when you are late.)
2. If this is a professional cleaning service, I expect a commercial grade vacuum. The vacuum the cleaners used looked like they probably got it from walmart. Because the strap of the vacuum was broken, they even asked me if I had a vacuum they could use.
3. Although the workers were friendly, they did not do a thorough cleaning job. After they had dusted & wiped the curtains and bookshelves, I slid my finger across those places just to check the dust. Low & behold, there was a ton of dust on my fingers. I had to tell them to dust off and clean several places again.
4 So, they came at 10:15AM, & finished at 11:45AM. That’s 1.5 hours of work. Price that was charged over the phone was $ 35/​hour. When I asked for the total, Apelia told me it was $ 140. $ 35/​per hour/​PER PERSON??? There was no mention of the number of people that would be performing the cleaning & that the time would be rounded to the neared hour. I would be completely fine with this if Apelia had mentioned this over the phone, instead of telling me when it came time to pay. Also, she quoted me 2 hours of work versus 1.5 hours of work that was actually done.
I’M NEVER EVER UTILIZING YOUR SERVICE AGAIN!!!
