Address on website and Unilocal are currently inaccurate. There was a confused man in suite 409. I’m not sure if phone number is accurate as I only received a busy signal. Maybe they moved or closed?!?

Let me start by saying that I have never been to an acupuncturist until today, so I really had no idea what to expect. That being said, Michelle at Acupuncture Hale has definitely made a believer out of me! She is super friendly and made me feel right at home. I was having a lot of tension in my neck and shoulder on the left side before the visit. I have had a few friends tell me how great acupuncture is so I figured what the heck I’ll give it a shot. I’m so glad I did!
I have always been a big fan of alternative and eastern medicine, as I do not believe in the big pharmaceutical companies here in America that think they can fix everything with some magical pill. I decided to start searching around for good acupuncturists and see what all the talk is about. After reading countless reviews on Unilocal I decided that Acupuncture Hale would be a good place to go, because it wasn’t going to leave my wallet empty after the visit and people have said good things. The sliding scale is awesome and I will definitely be coming back, as it is very affordable!
Now on to the treatment… Michelle took a couple minutes to talk to me about the pain and tension that I was having in order to decide what type of treatment she would need to do in order to effectively help me. She felt my neck and shoulder and after she was comfortable that she knew what was bothering me she took me into the room with about 6 recliner chairs. I proceeded to pick one and get comfortable. Michelle checked my pulse and tongue after which she started putting the needles in and it felt really weird at first but it was a good weird, kind of a tingling sensation. She explained why she was putting the needles where she was in order to relieve my tension and it was very helpful for my peace of mind. Once all the needles were in place she put a blanket over me and asked me to relax, which I did. The background music was very soothing and relaxing! After about 30 – 45 minutes of relaxing (and almost falling asleep) she came to take the needles out. Immediately after standing up I could tell there was a HUGE difference in the pain and tension I was experiencing! I don’t know how it works, but there is definitely something really awesome about the power of acupuncture!
After the treatment my tension, pain and range of motion improved dramatically. If I had to quantify it I would say that I felt about 75% better after. And not only was my muscle tension greatly relieved I had an overwhelming sense of peace and calm throughout my entire body and mind. It is hard to explain because I don’t fully understand how acupuncture works. A combination of the relaxing music and the acupuncture definitely was a great experience. Michelle is a really great person and made me feel comfortable throughout the treatment. I definitely feel good about supporting genuine, knowledgeable people like her.

The Acupuncture Hale is located down on King St. with street (look out for no parking times) and building parking (pretty reasonable). You can walk-​in or make an appointment. Have a personal («traditional») treatment or participate in community acupuncture where 5 lazy boy recliner chairs are set up (with material) at a sliding scale of $ 20-​$ 40, what ever you can pay. I used to have my acupuncture treatments by students just because it was more economical but going to the Acupuncture Hale I am able to culture a relationship with those treating me. Also I still get rest from about 30−60min during treatments, sometimes even longer.
The goal of the Acupuncture Hale is health maintenance, being proactive in your bodies activities without breaking the bank. I generally get treated for general well-​being, activating sites for increased energy, focus and decrease in stress.

David and Michelle are both caring and compassionate individuals who are truly committed to providing affordable acupuncture for all. The communal room is comfortable and very relaxing. David did great work for tendonitis which had been bothering me for over two years. This is a great place!
