Tucked away in a hidden hawaiian paradise we offer our charming cottage, emersed in a plethera of plants, flowers, and amazing views, it is the perfect «get-​away» spot. You’ll find yourself situated on the cliffs above the majestic Waipio Bay, with personal 100ft waterfall falling beneath you. From the home, you have wide open views of the gorgeous Kohala Cliffs, extending a 17 mile view up the coast to Pololu Point, and a 50 mile view across the beautiful pacific ocean to the island of Maui. We are proud to be able to share a bit of «Old Hawai’i» with our hidden natural oasis.

Established in 1986.

In the heart of Hawaii is a lush tropical paradise beyond compare. Waipio Valley «Valley of the Kings» is very sacred to Hawaiians, filled with majestic waterfalls, Ancient Hawaiian farms, a gorgeous mile long black sand beach, and over 100 wild horses. The Hamakua Hideaway Cliffhouse is a custom built cottage (Hawaiian style), nestled on the edge of Waipio Valley, in a bamboo forest. You will be immersed in a garden full of beautiful flowers, and edible herbs. Enjoy awe-​inspiring 180 degree view of the ocean on our cozy «made for two» swing and hear the sound of the hundred foot waterfall beneath you. The complete privacy makes it perfect for having a romantic evening using the fully equipped kitchen or perhaps at one of the fabulous restaurants in our sweet little Honoka’a Town (short 10 min drive). Have the most romantic getaway in the «two person» Jacuzzi tub or by the wood burning fire place then cuddle up in the loft. Let us make help your magical fairy tale in Hawai’i come true.

Business Owner

After becoming a registered nurse at UCLA, she moved to Oahu in 1971 and then to the BIg Island in 1979 were she fell in love. Now the Mother of 3 sons and 5 grand children, she loves being with family when shes not spending time in the garden. She has worked hospice for many years and enjoys learning about natural healing techniques. Her family takes pride in organic farming in this tropical paradise, were the beauty, and weather are the best in Hawaii. The small village of Kukuihaele has been her home for over 30 years and the Hamakua Hideaway Cliffhouse is her pride and joy.
