Well we should have turned away when we didn’t smell any wood smoke. Jackie our waitress was very pleasant. But my ½ baked BBQ was really overdone… not dry… just browner than any chicken should ever be. Hubby had a pork BBQ sandwich– it was fine– just ok… Nothing special. Fries, baked beans, and cinnamon apples were all good. Three bean salad was a lil’ moldy tasting… but I didn’t send it back… afraid of kitchen retribution. It was kind of expensive for what you got too. I usually never can eat a ½ chicken but this one was so small it was no problem.

There is a group of us that go every Thursday evening for dinner. The food is great. Only once did we have a problem with the steak being over done and it was taken care of right away. Our server Jackie is fantastic. 5 stars for her. When she’s not there we have Jaxson who is just as good.

Good food and beer selection. Service was great as well. We will definitely come by again when we’re in the area.

Our waitress was excellent, attentive and friendly. The place was about 80% full and we were served our drinks right away. Our waitress checked back a couple times before we were ready to order. Once our order was in, we waited quite a while before it was served. We order the NY strip steak special and a BBQ quesadilla, listed as a specialty. The strip steak came w/two sides, onion rings — which were cold — and French fries, tepid. The steak was warm, a little tough but seasoned well. The quesadilla was warm, the pulled pork filling was very good, the cheese was nothing special. All and all, it was okay. No rush to come back but it would do in a pinch.

Visiting the area, my family was looking for a good barbecue joint and this place does not disappoint! We had the ribs, steak, and pulled pork and they were all delicious! Our waitress was such a sweetie and had great service. My dad even ended up buying one of their t-shirts. When we return to the area, we will definitely come back.

Today, our group of four went to Fat Daddy’s for the first time, after a great day at Homosassa Wildlife Park. Bleu Cheeseburger, Pulled Pork sandwich and Blackened Fish sandwich. Our sides were sweet potato fries, baked beans, potato salad, cole slaw, fries, and an appetizer of cream cheese pepper poppers. Peanut Butter Pie to go. This. Place. Is. Awesome. 40 miles away and we WILL be back! Highly recommend this place to everyone. Excellent service and great food. If you get sweet potato fries, get the honey cinnamon butter! OMGoodness. Love this place.

Delicious food and great service. The ribs are so flavorful and just fall off the bones. The jalapeño poppers and fried pickles are also great. And the peanut butter pie is good and rich, great size to share.

Kind of an odd duck barbeque place on 19, across from the dealerships. If you’re traveling northbound, you’ll have to pass it before you can turn around. The place is divided into a bare-bones converted patio. Concrete floors, no music, two TVs with the sound off. Just a few naked tables in here — it’s sparse. Further inside is the original restaurant, which looks exactly how you would picture a semi-rural«bar and grill» style place to be. The menu has basic barbeque staples on it, although there were no ribs. Brisket sandwich was great, as was the pulled pork. Our friends said the fried shrimp and burgers were good as well. Excellent sweet tea, too. I’m a sucker for ‘que and sweet tea. Friendly, helpful service as well. Kinda pricey, though. The brisket sandwich, while pretty big, was $ 12 with one side. But good food in a spot close to Homosassa is a plus, so they’ve got me as a customer now. FYI the menu on their website is ridiculously outdated and has changed greatly.

I was in the mood for a steak. Being in an area that’s pretty new to me, I checked with Unilocal.I have found some awesome places using Unilocal previously. This time was hugely disappointing. This place was a definite two trips in one — first and last! Waitress was indifferent. Food was not as good as the service. And the pricing is out of line. Paid $ 13.99 for what was supposed to be a prime rib sandwich. It looked like a Philly w/o cheese. Didn’t taste like either one. Was overcooked and slightly old. Came with one side, about 1⁄3 cup of truly icky Cole Slaw. Was supposed to come with horseradish sauce but that never showed up. For that price it should have been tasty, attractive and have been accompanied by a quality side.

This place was fantastic. It had great wings and a delicious steak. We had a cheeseburger too and it also was delicious. Sides were pretty good also. You have to try the potato salad and coleslaw.

What a great little place to get LUNCH !! We stopped by on a Saturday, Katee was the nicest waitress. We ordered a burger and a pulled pork. BOTH can with a delicious side, both home made. They had several LUNCHSPECIALS all about $ 7.00… but They serve a PRIMERIB in the evening, they have Steak night which we will have to try next.

Decent food friendly staff. 10.95 steak on Tuesday. Worth the money. It could have had a little more seasoning

First the disclaimer, my son works here but if it wasn’t good I’d just keep my mouth shut. My list of meals I like here is growing. I’ve had the Prime Rib, which was delicious and perfectly cooked to how I asked. Their house made horseradish sauce is better than most creamy sauces but I personally like just plain horseradish which they gladly supplied. I have not had a bad steak here. The staff is friendly and you can see that they enjoy working there. It’s a small town atmosphere and you feel like you belong.

I am strictly reviewing the food. Since I got take out I did not have a server wait on me. I ordered the full slab of ribs with two sides. The ribs were very tough and chewing. When you bite them they snap back. I only like ribs that kind of fall off the bone. It was not a good rib. I went around 5:30 p so I’m not sure if that had anything to do with it. Maybe, I don’t know. What I do know is when you charge $ 20.00 for a slab of ribs they better be good. I saw they had four stars but now I wonder about that. The ribs came with a tiny portion of sides. I got the coleslaw and they mac n cheese. The sides were pretty good. I have never seen such small portions of sides though. So the ribs were tough and the sides were minuscule. Safe to say I won’t be going back.

Server was exceptionally friendly and a pleasure to talk to. I have travelled the eastern seaboard and this was one of the best BBQ ribs I have had. I have only been there one time, but everything was excellent! We had 12 people for lunch and the total was about $ 110. They have a great outdoor patio area, which is where we sat. Very nice and clean, and semi enclosed due to slightly cooler temperatures. This is definitely a place I would go back to when my travels bring me back this way!

I moved to Homosassa about 6 months ago. As I explored the area for good small business restaurants, I was a bit disappointed in most of the local places. Fat Daddy’s however, is great. I love wings and only eat wings at a few places. Their wings are in my top 3. All the meats are smoked, including the corned beef, which makes for an amazing Reuben. Dave, the bartender is one of a kind. He’s super friendly and knew my name and drink on my second visit. He’s also great at slight of hand card tricks, which he’ll bust out every now and then, especially if your first time there. The owners and super friendly, and the locals are very sociable making the bar a great place to sit if it’s dinner for one. I highly recommend Fat Daddy’s in Homosassa.

Excellent hot peel and eat shrimp, really yummy barbecue quesadilla and terrific half barbecue chicken. Service cheerful and quick. Only drawback was a baked potato that wasn’t quite done, but that was quickly replaced. Would be happy to go back. Good value.

Lots of friendly waitresses, dog-friendly outside(even brought the pooch some water), and they have all-you-can-eat wings on Wednesdays. Wasn’t terribly impressed by the thai teriyaki chili wings(no likey the sauce), or the ribs(too fatty). The burger, however, was giganto and really good. I’d probably come back for wing night on wednesdays to try all their different sauces. The wings themselves were big and meaty, the sauce just wasn’t for me.
