I’m very picky when it comes to hamburgers. If done right I wolf it down and I don’t normally eat a lot. This is one place that does it right! I get a double cheeseburger almost every time I go because of how good it is, with the speed of the service I need when I’m hungry. Plus, it’s very reasonably priced.

Pop’s is delicious. I always see people eating in there and I think that’s weird. technically there are booths but then you spend your entire meal having people parade right next to you placing and waiting for their orders, just weird. Beef sandwiches are wet and messy and delicious(adding mozzerella makes it even better), but their fries, oh their fries are perfect! Skinny greasy little slivers of happiness. If it’s just you, order a half order of fries, the full order is enough for about 3 normal people. To be honest I have had a few flubbed orders from this location, making for a pretty bummed family when I got home. But the food is good and will continue to give them my money as long as they keep cranking out those fries!

I love the Italian beef at Pop’s. I always have it dipped and have to take it home because it is way too messy to eat there. Pop’s has great hot dogs and their specials are good bargains. Lastly, I love their salads. Their chopped salad is 2 meals minimum and is delicious. I think their salads are much better than Portillo’s — -Pop’s dressings are better. Pop’s has been around forever and the food is great — don’t pass it up.

Only three things to say about this particular Pop’s; Great food, speedy service, and friendly employees. I always enjoy the grilled chicken wrap or the grilled chicken on French bread w/mozzarella and bacon. Definitely recommend giving Pop’s a try.

Not the best Italian Beef I’ve ever had. Bread doesn’t quite hold up to all the juice and the giardiniera is not like I’m used to at all the other places. Ok. Just not great. Brisk lunchtime business with very reasonable prices. Very good fries.

The food is usually good, but the service sucks. I went in to pick up an order and the lady manager is rude. I paid for my order and as I was waiting she must was talking to the owner I guess, they gave me the food and she blurts out did anyone ring me up and then asked me if I paid for the food. Since she wasn’t paying attention, she assumed I was gonna walk out with the food. I’ll never go back cause of that woman. If you want a good beef sandwich and great service, go to Al’s in Tinley park.

The Baby Beef with sweet peppers and mozzarella combo is all you need! Occasionally, I’ll add an Oreo shake to that order. It’s hard for me to order anything else because of the deliciousness of the baby beef. If I had to pick one other item it would definitely be the hotdog with everything! I love Pops!

Let me start off by saying this: Saturday daily special: Super Italian Beef(9″) and fry for $ 6.99. Heck yes. For the size and atmosphere, I am a fan. Their bathrooms are alright-clean and serves the purpose. Self-serve pop machine. The service is wicked fast-literally after I was done paying for my order, my number was called and like that, my tray was waiting for me. The fries are thin(think Steak and Shake) and the beef is chopped up really thin(I prefer slices). Nonetheless, I take my italian beef with sweet peppers and moz cheese. Also tried the rib eye steak sandwich with onion rings-a bit expensive for the thin slice of steak wedged between two large pieces of sub bread. Think I’ll stick with a gyro or the italian. They also have soups, chili, and malts. Not to mention the 0.49 ice cream cones!

This place seems to be pretty popular, even among friends of mine, but I’m not really sure why. I’ve been here three times, having a gyro, a hot dog, and a burger. The best of the three was the hot dog, but even that would only be average in my book. The gyro was dried out with crappy sauce, and the burger was just terrible on the whole. I’m not an Italian beef fan at all, so I can’t speak to that, but the atmosphere here is kind of crappy. I did have good service each time I was here, but the only thing I had food or drink wise that I would have again was the chocolate malt, which you’d have to be a complete fool to mess up. Other reviewers talk about«settling» for Portillo’s, but Portillo’s on its worst day is far superior to Pop’s on it’s best. I wouldn’t come back, as I’d rather just overpay for Panera Bread in the same plaza than eat food that just isn’t very good.

Prices are good. The beef is really good. A friend of mine’s son worked there and he said they make the beef on site which is more than I expected. Get tomato slices and hot giardiniera. Delicious.

I eat here once a week, every week. Excellent food. I have never been let down by a single menu item. I HIGHLY recommend the chips over the french fries. Even if you get them home and they’re cold, they are still good. Staff is always friendly, and usually they remember what I get before I order it. On early-release days, HF High School students frequent this place. Decent pricing(around 7 bucks for an entire meal).

I got a coupon in the mail when this place first opened and decided to walk on down there. First thing I noticed is that it is VERYLOUD in here. Second, it is pretty pricey.

I have come here often and have experienced everything from bad service around closing time to price changes or cashier error. The decline of trhe food quality is what stands out. I recently ordered a double cheese burger. There was more cheese than meat. I ordered a Grilled Chicken on a Crossaint right before closing and was rewarded with a sandwhich still cold in the middle, I took it right backand learned that the grill was in the process of being cleaned and shutdown and that was why my chicken was still cold. Instead of making me a proper sandwhich right there I was given a credit to come back later and get a free sandwhich, but I was hungry and had paid for a sandwhich I was ready to eat right then. There are better alternatives in the area. Try those.

Great Italian beef, meatball sandwiches, Italian sausage and gyros. They also have pizza puffs and gravy bread. My palate is obviously very developed. The $ 1 sundaes can’t be beat for the price.

Don’t think I have had anything from here I didn’t like yet. Love the burgers, they have a great char-broiled flavor and the beef is great. Very good stuff!

You have got to be kidding me. There was more fat the meat on the beef. Fries were greasy and cold. Not at all what I expected given the local hype this place gets. Won’t be going back. The staff was friendly enough but the food…

Update: Pop’s is falling off. Don’t know what happened. Taste is being compromised. Step it up Pop’s or next update loses another star. Italian beef combo, sweet and hot peppers, mozzarella cheese, wet. That’s what I had and that’s what made me happy. Delicious! They have beef and cheddar croissants too and much much more even slushies! Prices are very reasonable. Finally found my south suburb beef heaven and not have to settle for Portillo’s in Crestwood which can be hit or miss. This is a hit and I will be back!

Yummmmmm! The Italian Beef here is awesome! I love it… I usually get the kids meal though(which is only 4 bucks!) because that’s a big enough portion for me.

Oh I love me some Pop’s italian beef with mayo, mozzarella cheese and sweet peppers. I eat here to much so I decided to take a break for a while. The food is cheap, but good. The fries are always fresh and they give you alot even if you get a small. The only thing that I have to complain about is their shakes, they are not thick at all. Anyways this is favorite place for italian beef im going to leave it at that.

So I noticed a new list dedicated to cheese fries, and it made me think of Pop’s. I LOOOOOVE the fries from here. No, they’re not hand cut or tossed with sea salt or any of that fancy shmancy crap. They’re just good old, fast food type fries that are delicious. They’re of the shoestring variety and are always super hot, crispy outside, fluffy inside. But throw in a generous portions of processed nacho cheese, and I’m in heaven. It’s a good thing that it’s a massive bag of fried goodness because I wouldn’t want to be the girl that ordered two bags of cheese fries. The beefs here are pretty good too. It’s as good a beef as any, but the giardinera makes it. If you grab the lunch special, it’ll come with a pop and run you about $ 7.50. More than worth it. Burgers are OK. Oh, almost forgot about the Monster Dog. One whole foot worth of Chicago style goodness. Get it. Its killer.
