Dollar Tree

This location of Dollar Tree actually was across the street in the Washington Square strip mall alongside Jewel, Target, Menards, and Home Depot, but it moved across the street into the old location where Office Depot used to be at a couple years ago. I come here when I bring my client to shop and sometimes I come on my own time to shop and normally the Dollar Tree stores I go to are often dirty and very disorganized and the kind of clientele they serve often is a reflection of how poorly kept some stores have gotten. I find the staff to be very friendly with the exception of one cashier named «Diane» who I think is rather cold and unfriendly like she’s got a major chip on her shoulder because I originally met her through a client I had and she was frosty then too. I have a thing about customer service if you’re going to be in a job where you have to be in contact with the public and you can’t act like you got an ounce of friendliness in you GET OUT OF THAT JOB. I am well aware that the economy is the way it is and people have to work whatever they can find, but there’s no reason for cashiers and those who work with the public to be that unfriendly and cold towards customers. I don’t care if godzilla crawled up your behind blew fire out of it you can be friendly to customers and it’s very sad when you see people like that in jobs that clearly they don’t need to be in if they’re not inclined to work with people. Overall, the shopping experience is good because that store is clean and you don’t see stuff thrown around like a hurricane of heathens coming through and tearing up the place like they have no home training. I like going to different Dollar Tree stores because of the vast variety of things they have especially items that are extremely helpful in your home like cleaning supplies and other things such as paper napkins and some food and health items. You can walk in with a $ 100 and come out with so much more than what you would have gotten at a mom and pop dollar store (owned by indians and arabs) where the prices arent inflated to draw in profit and lowering the quality standards of the products in the store. I will shop here again, but I will avoid «Diane» and deal with someone else in the store who isnt rude and got a chip on their shoulder. A good store always keeps their customers in mind by having it clean and tidy and staff is helpful and friendly.
