An amazing property and great place to relax in Tahoe! Blythe was outstanding as the property host. She was literally there within a minute for whatever we needed. BBQ on the deck. Extra coffee maker (GF drinks decaffeinated) anything. 1 min walk to the beach. Could not have asked for more. The cabins are absolutely beautiful. Top end appliances, fixtures, etc. You can tell they really put a lot of though, time and money into the design. Would definitely stay again!

FIRST CLASS! Our family of 13 stayed for 6 nights in June in four of the cottages. The cottages, grounds and hosts are exceptional in every way. We enjoyed cooking smores around the fire pit, and skewers were provided! We cooked a few family meals on the grill on the deck of the Eagle cottage. The table in the Eagle cottage easily accommodated our entire family of 13 for meals and family card games. Cedar Crest Cottages was a great base for us to go kayaking, river rafting, boating, hiking, golfing and shopping. There are also many great restaurants nearby. I highly recommend Cedar Crest Cottages and would not consider staying anywhere else the next time we return to Lake Tahoe.

Absolutely wonderful stay — wish we could have stayed longer, but we will be back! Attention to detail in the rooms and grounds, as well as from the host (Blythe), was superb.

Simply Exceptional! We stood in the Chickadee cottage and every accommodation needed was there, I felt I was at home! A special thanks to Blythe (host) for being so helpful… she truly makes you feel at home! We will be returning!

In addition to incredible amenities and location, the service was just exceptional! I left a cooking pot I brought and they sent it right back to me via priority mail, all free of charge. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff who gave us great tips on how to make the most of our short weekend stay there. Thank you for the amazing service!

I hesitate to say how awesome this place is, because the word will get out and it’ll be hard to book our return stay. From top to bottom, every detail is well thought out, clean, modern, welcoming. The location is convenient to ski resorts, snowshoeing trailheads, and directly across the street from the lake. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage and were impressed with how spacious it was. Blythe was incredibly welcoming and made our stay absolutely great. The listing photos are 100% accurate. It is really that nice.

Everything we needed was available in the rental home… dishwasher, utencils and plates etc.provided.

This place is amazing! Its a very cute place with with modern amenities. I would definitely come back here and refer anyone here who’s looking for an escape from the city life. The owners are more welcoming and pleasant. You truly get a VIP feeling as well as a home away from home.

Cedar Crest Cottages is an amazing place to stay on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe. The hosts are amazing; the rooms are beautifully renovated and appointed; and the location could not be better.
The hosts took the time to also prepare a Guestbook that contains every piece of information you could hope for when visiting a new place. There are hiking recommendations, restaurant recommendations, information on every possible activity you could want to do in the Lake Tahoe area, and so on.
My boyfriend and I stayed in the Chickadee cottage (Cottage 2) and will definitely be returning for another stay. I cannot recommend this place enough — the only reason I hesitate is that I don’t want it to be too difficult to get a reservation in the future! ;P

We loved our stay at Cedar Crest Cottages. We where there for a wedding and family and friends booked most of the cottages. It was fun to be together and we still had lots of privacy.
The accommodations were stylish, efficient and comfortable. Our hosts were terrific– really friendly and helpful. We’d recommend them to anybody/​everybody and hope to be back!

This place is THE BEST!
My husband and I visited in the off-​season (late October), which meant that the campus and the entire town/​surrounding area were nice and calm. The cottages are situated in elevated groups that make you feel like you’re sleeping in the trees. Gorgeous televisions, appliances, radiant heating in the floor, and all the modern amenities you would think to want to use are at your fully functional disposal. The bedrooms and living area were as comfortable as they could have been! Perfect for lazy afternoons recovering from the night before or even your morning run or hike.
The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating for us, either! We checked in super late at night when we arrived with zero hassle whatsoever. We were also so fortunate to arrange to enjoy the cottages throughout the afternoon on our final day in Tahoe, as our redeye from Reno wasn’t leaving until midnight. That was hugely appreciated!
Routes along the West Shore are fabulous for a run or a walk. The West Shore Café is right down the road, and The West Shore Market and Fire Sign Café are right up the street… All within very comfortable driving distance.
We literally couldn’t have been happier with our choice of accommodation for our first trip together to Tahoe. Highly recommended!

Cedar Crest cottages are relatively new, so I was reluctant to try it without having many reviews available. But from the moment we drove into the entrance I felt confident in my choice to stay there.
The room photos on their website are accurate but they can’t convey the feel you get when you step inside. The quality of the construction/​renovation of these vintage cottages is outstanding. This attention to detail inside and out was appreciated. From the spacious kitchen that opens to a cozy «family room» area to the high-​end appliances to the large screen TVs, to the quality of the materials used throughout, this is a comfortable place we could call home for an extended stay. My wife and I booked just a 3-​night stay on this trip and will plan to stay again, next time for a week. On our final night, we decided to cook dinner rather than hit a restaurant, so we shopped at the full-​size supermarket in Tahoe City. Once we started making dinner at the cottage we had everything at our disposal in the fully-​stocked drawers and cabinets. Pots, pans, bowls, utensils –even aluminum foil, was at hand. And all of it clean and of good quality. It made the cottage feel as close to living at our own home as we could ask. And the compact dishwasher handled the cleanup with ease.
The location allows easy access to Tahoe City to the north and South Lake Tahoe to the south. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Could not ask for anything more from these first-​class accommodations.

I recently stayed for four nights, July 26−30^th with a friend at Cedar Crest Cottages. I was looking forward to my stay based on the wonderful reviews and gorgeous pictures of the rooms. Many times you see pictures on-​line and then when you arrive, it just isn’t the same. Well, Cedar Crest Cottages are even better. They are clean, slick, modern, yet rustic, and visually perfect. Beautifully designed and thoughtfully laid out. Every imaginable convenience was there that you could possibly need for your stay from a full kitchen, full size fridge, induction stove top, oven, microwave, dish washer, garbage disposal, pots, pans, plates, silver ware to cook as if you were at home. Then there was the ironing board, iron, full size washer/​dryer, not to mention the flat screen TV’s in both rooms, free wifi and Bluetooth sound system and 1 full bath and 1 half bath… super linens, comfy beds. And a great fire pit to sit at night in a common area outside.
Have to mention that they are close to everything and within walking distance if you are adventurous being only 5 miles from Tahoe City. Great restaurants surround and a book is provided in room with tons of local information. So cool!
The staff is really great and really super daily service. We were greeted upon arrival and given a complete run down of the cottage. But I must say… the most important thing and the very best thing about Cedar Crest Cottages is their commitment to customer satisfaction. We ran into a bit of a problem during our stay and the staff and management went out of their way to make sure we were super satisfied and taken care of. You don’t see this kind of customer service very much anymore. Kudos to the Cedar Crest Staff.

We booked Cedar Crest for a company retreat of 15 people. I cannot say enough good things about our stay! From the very beginning, the Cedar Crest Hosts were so accommodating and helpful. When we arrived they met us with a smile, helped us to our cottages and even took the time to do a brief tour/​cover the basics. They were very thorough so we weren’t left with any questions. The cottages were lovely and you can tell that when they renovated them, they really paid attention to detail. They did a great job capturing the rustic Tahoe setting while keeping it modern/​updated inside. The fire pit was great for post meeting decompression and socializing.
So great for our retreat! Every person on our retreat said that they will definitely be back with their families and we will definitely book again for future company outings!

We rented out the cottages for our daughter’s wedding weekend. We absolutely loved everything about the cottages. The cottages are new and extremely clean. The staff could not have been any more accommodating. Every request made was granted with a smile. The kitchen is well equipped and the linens were delightful. The firepit was a big hit! I would definitely recommend Cedar Crest Cottages! Thank you, for providing wonderful accommodations for this very special weekend!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottages are very nicely decorated and furnished. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Wish we could have stayed longer than just a weekend, but we’ll definitely be back!

My wife and I loved Cedar Crest Cottages! They have 8 newly renovated cottages ranging from 1 bedroom to 3 bedrooms and they are all modern in design and feels homey as well. Upon arriving, we were greeted in the parking lot and given a tour through our cottage. In fact, the friendly staff showed us the 3 bedroom cottages when we asked about them. Note that each cottage featured a full kitchen with a full sized fridge, induction stove top, oven, microwave, dish washer, garbage disposal, pots, pans, plates, silver ware, aluminum foil, and pretty much everything you need to cook. There was also in-​cottage washer and dryer for anyone who loves outdoor activities or have kids. The bedding in the bedrooms were of great quality as well. Last but not least, free wifi and bluetooth sound system rounded out the cottage features.
The location of Cedar Crest Cottages was also great for us. It was situated away from the hustle and bustle of tourists but still conveniently close to Tahoe City, Squaw Valley, and Emerald Bay which offers a variety of different activities in the summer as well as winter. We would definitely recommend anyone looking for a getaway in Lake Tahoe to check out Cedar Crest Cottages!
