Specialties

Everglades Archers is a full outdoor range, with a practice area out to 80 yards, 28 target field range, full time 3D range and broadhead pits. We also offer individual and group instruction. Our members shoot Olympic recurve, compound as well as traditional bows.

History

Established in 1954.

Everglades Archers was established in 1954, and have been at our current location since 1989. Our club is chartered through the National Field Archery Association (FAA) and are members of the Florida Archery Association (FAA) and the Archery Shooters Association (ASA).

Manager

NFAA certified Master Coach and US Archery Level 3 Coach. I have been actively shooting tournaments for 15 years with a variety of equipment — everything from Compound Freestyle, Compound Bowhunter, Olympic Recurve, Traditional and Primitive equipment.

I have a new appreciation for this sport. Quite difficult, need a lot of arm strength, steady hands and precision. It was really fun and a great way to blow off some steam.

My daughters love this archery range, especially the older 14 year old daughter.
My girls have been going there since they were little girls around 6 or 7 years old.
On Wednesday nights you can go there to try the place out and see if you want to join. There is an annual fee. I guess you can say that Wednesday night is a type of membership recruiting night. You don’t have to schedule anything, just show up. There are some bows and arrows provided there to try it out.
My husband likes go with his daughters to the range. It is a very nice way for him to have a quiet peaceful family activity. Archery is also a good PE type activity for home schooled kids. Its an inexpensive sport and a great way to teach the young ones a useful skill and give them something fun to do after school.
