Everglades Alligator Farm

Awesome! It was fun to feed their gators. The variety of wildlife was astonishing! My favorite part was the air boat ride. It was cool to see wild gators. Highly recommended.

My girlfriends and I were on a trip to Miami. We were staying in South Beach, and decided to make a drive out to The Keys, and on our way back to South Beach, we saw a sign for this Alligator farm! (good marketing) We were really excited and decided to try it out. I highly recommend the $ 27 package for the Airboat tour and alligator feeding. It was an AWESOME ride and our instructor gave us fun facts and did some cool turns on the boat. We also fed the baby alligators, that was cool to see ! It was a fun experience, and we had a lot of fun !!

Great ride and interesting animals including alligator, turtles. The black guy (can’t remember his name) who was a driver for airboat went through the swamp skilfully and saw couples of alligators at the beginning. I wish there was more to see. The swerving of several times during the trip was unexpected and awesome. There were few turns with 360 degree rotation!

What an amazing place!!! The park was super clean for the most part, besides the Ladies Room. To say it had a horrid odor would be an understatement!!! I literally had to cover up my nose with my shirt!
Besides the bathroom issue, I had an awesome time visiting there! I loved, loved, loved the Air Boat Ride thru the Everglades!!! Our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining!
The various shows with the alligators and snakes were well worth the time to check out!

So fun and sweet. The gators are creepy and will totally ick you out in a good way. Got to feed the emus and the baby gators. Bring a couple quarters to buy gator food. Then drove 5 miles to an authentic Latin meal and it was great as well.

What a good time! I live in Homestead so this is super convenient and it’s a little gem, a great place to bring visitors. The airboat ride is seriously the best, for the price and basically a zoo entrance fee you get a good ride with the 360 turns. I sat in the front row and got a little bit wet but not soaked. I recommend to sit there if you get a chance!
Loved holding the animals after all the shows. I love that it’s a very relaxed atmosphere and that there isn’t someone hovering over you at every animal. We saw tons of gators on our airboat ride too. I will definitely be back!

This place is awesome!!! We took the boat ride at it was so cool! We got to see baby alligators and old ones! Such cool wild life there! Then he takes the boat into a swampy place with weeds and goes super fast! It was a blast! After that they had an alligator show! They time everything so perfectly! That guy did a few stunts with the gator then we got to hold a baby one! It was crazy! It’s totally worth the 27 bucks!

Surprisingly really fun! We had no idea what to expect but had such a great time, especially on the airboat ride. It’s loud but goes quite fast for 10 – 15 minutes, and they’ll do full 360 degree spins!
They say the ride is very wet but you can keep your phone out for pictures and videos (if you hold on to it tight and are sitting in the middle). Pick up your feet right after the spins to avoid getting your shoes soaked. Anyone sitting on the edges will DEFINITELY get splashed so keep your cameras and phones away!

This was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I did not know what to expect when we drove to the end of the road… seriously the road ends and there is the gator farm. We had a great time! You enter through the gift shop and purchase tickets. You can choose if you want to go on an airboat ride or not. I highly recommend the airboat ride. If you do not want to get wet I suggest you purchase a poncho for $ 1. The park has several gators, crocodiles, and other animals. The florida panther was pretty impressive! We watched the snake show, the gator show and we caught the feeding show also. The guide was entertaining and informative. Tip: if you don’t like snakes… don’t raise your hand when he asks you if you don’t like snakes… They let you hold snakes and a baby alligator if you want to! The place is clean and well maintained. If you are in the area you should check this attraction out!

The Everglades Alligator Farm is amazing, I highly recommend it if you’re in the area. Some notes:
The air boat ride was spectacular! We saw so many gators swimming around in the Everglades. Speeding around the swamp on an airboat was so much fun, especially when the driver did 360 degree turns. Also, I’m amazed at their navigational ability. All the swamp looks the same to me – grassy marsh for miles as far as your eye can see – but the drivers were expert navigators.
Go feed the emus. They were so funny and friendly – they walk right up to you as soon as they hear you put a quarter in the food machine. We spent 20 minutes hanging out with these crazy birds.
Definitely check out the baby gators. From tiny hatchlings to 3 feet long juveniles, they have it all.
Overall: well worth the time and money.

Despite the lady at the front desk messing up our boat ride times and a lady on our boat splitting her head open when we were boarding the boat after hitting her head on a sharp edge and bleeding all over the place, my husband and I had a great time! The gator show was intense! I can’t believe he was fishing for gators in murky water with a stick and one good hand! The boat ride was also really fun, I didn’t wanna get off the boat.
TIP: You will get wet during the boat ride, so you might as well sit in the front row and enjoy the ride!

The panther is a must see! Also, don’t miss any of the shows and try and catch a glimpse of the baby gators being showered in their grow out pens. Had a blast on the airboat ride. The $ 1 investment for waterproof poncho is wise. Facility appeared well managed and clean.

This was a fab visit. We landed here because we were staying very close to this place and also the reviews were good. A day well spent — thats what I would like to say. The airboat ride was fun. Without realising, I sat right at the front and got completely drenched with muddy water. People who go on this ride, please dress appropriately so that you can dry off quickly.
I am personally not a great fan of snakes therefore, did not enjoy the snake show. Gator feeding was great, we saw a massive gator eating the whole Turkey and it was fab. The staff there are very friendly and knowledgeable.
If you are in Homestead or anywhere close, do take the time to visit this place.

Didn’t make it to any of the shows but enjoyed the rest of park especially the area that showed the rate at which the alligators grow.
Make sure you take the airboat ride. FUN! The downside is that it isn’t very long but you will see wild alligators, turtles, birds, & area plants. They warn you that you will get wet but that is only towards the front of the boat. Also if you want to sit with the people you are with make sure you get in line early.

Great fun place for the whole family.

Everglades Alligator Farm = South Florida’s oldest alligator farm and an one stop shop for 30-​minute airboat ride (airboat won’t be intentionally approaching wild alligators), 15-​minute alligator wrestling show, opportunity to hold a baby alligator (during the wrestling show), mini zoo with exotic animals (e.g. Florida panther, emu, parrots, etc), snake show, and 10-​minute alligator feeding demonstration.
Ticket: $ 19.50 per adult for entrance to the alligator farm + shows. If you ALSO want the airboat ride, then that will be additional $ 7.50 per adult.
All showtimes are set up in the way that you can catch one show after another. For instance, alligator wrestling show starts at 11 AM (lasted 15 minutes), airboat ride starts at 11:25 AM (lasted 30 minutes), and alligator feeding demonstration starts at 12 PM. So the ideal time to come is sometime before 10:45 AM and you’ll be able to see everything in 75 ~ 90 minutes.
* Alligator feeding demonstration: See ~250 alligators being fed in the alligator breeding pond. The demonstrator said alligators typically eat beef, chicken, rabbit, etc.
* Baby gator grow out pens: You can pay 25 cents for some food and throw food at these baby gators.
* Alligator wrestling show: First, the demonstrator will try to impress everyone by holding alligator’s jaw using his both hands + chin. Later, baby alligators will be passed around during the show and everyone will get an opportunity to hold & take pictures with these slimy creatures. Don’t worry, baby gator’s mouth is completely duct-​taped and just remember don’t drop baby alligators. I also learned that alligators have 80 teeth and crocodiles have 60 teeth.
* Airboat ride: Since it was still raining, I had to go to the gift shop and brought an emergency poncho for $ 1. First airboat will cruise slowly for 5 minutes, follow by 15 minutes of high speed ride with 3~4 unexpected 360 spins, and end with 5 minute low speed ride back to the dock. If you don’t pay attention during the ride, then expect your shoes to be soaking wet. It was a pretty fun ride and definitely worth the extra $ 7.50, but this ride could not replace the unique experience I had with the Buffalo Tigers Airboat Tours.
If you are planning to stay in Miami for a very short period of time (say less than 2 days) and don’t want to drive deep into the Everglades National Park (absolutely zero cell signal), then this is a great place to satisfy all of your needs in a zoo-​like controlled environment. It was money well spent and this is definitely a great alligator farm for parents & kids.
P. S. — You still get some cell signal here … just not very strong.

Awesome staff and show. Would certainly recommend the trip. Slightly disappointed that we didn’t see any gators while on the boats, but that’s nature.

We had so much fun at the Alligator Farm! We seem to have timed it really well as the day just flowed. We started with the airboat ride, which was great! At times they go really fast and it is so scenic cruising at speed through the marshes. They are not lying when they say you may get wet! Our feet were drenched and our seats got wet, so wet bums too! But it was so fun, you can’t miss it.
We then moved onto the alligator show where we saw the man almost wrestle and do tricks with the alligator and at the end you can hold a baby alligator!
We then walked the perimeter and saw more alligators and crocodiles, emus, parrots, Florida panther, turtles and snakes! You can also see the grow out pens where all the small ones are kept and the breeding pond where you can see the alligators being fed.
The only thing we didn’t see was the snake show as it meant waiting round for it.
Great day out for all the family! Good value as well, look out for coupons or discount with check-​in.

Pros: Nice air boat ride where you really get a chance to see the everglades. Friendly and courteous staff.
Cons: Two parrots in a cage with no perch, constantly wiggling around the outside of the cage trying to find somewhere comfortable to just be. Dirty water bowls for animals and dirty ponds for bigger animals. A pacing and upset Florida Panther. I couldn’t stand the mediocre animal care, it was depressing. Wont be back.

This was a perfect mix of alligators, air boats and red neck humor, all at a reasonable price. I had a blast.
Take the tour with the airboat, see the alligator show and alligator feeding. More gators than you can shake a stick at and the Panther is worth a look too.

Im Dunstkreis der Everglades gibt es unzählige Gatorparks, die um die Gunst der Besucher buhlen. Wir haben uns aufgrund der vielen positiven Berichte im Internet für die Everglades Alligator Farm entschieden. Diese befand sich nur unweit von Florida City und dem Everglades National Park.
Der Eintritt betrug für Erwachsene 23, — $ und für Kinder 15,50 $. In unzähligen Magazinen und auf der Homepage kann man mit einem Coupon noch ein wenig sparen.
Aufgrund der drückenden und schwülen Hitze haben wir uns für einen frühen Besuch um 09.00 Uhr entschieden, was sich im nachhinein als Glücksfall erwiesen hat. Als erstes stand die kostenlose Airboat Tour auf dem Programm, die einmal in Anspruch genommen werden durfte.
Mit sehr wenigen Gästen konnten wir bei anfänglicher leiser und langsamer Fahrt freilebende Krokodile, Wasservögel und Schnappschildkröten in unmittelbarer Streichelnähe bewundern. Ich bilde mir auch ein, dass man bei der ersten Fahrt am Morgen auch sicherlich die meisten Tiere zu Gesicht bekommt. Nach ca. 5 Minuten ging es dann im rasanten Tempo durch die Everglades, ein wirklich toller Spaß. Jetzt war festhalten angesagt und wir mussten auch ab und zu die Füße heben, um dem Spritzwasser auszuweichen.
Anschließend haben wir bei einem Spaziergang durch den Gatorpark, die Zeit bis zum Beginn der Schlangenshow überbrückt. Hier konnte man auf der einen Seite des Zauns die Alligatoren in freier Wildbahn entdecken und auf der anderen Seite die verschiedenen Krokodilarten bewundern.

Um 10.00 Uhr wurde in der Schlangenshow den Besuchern vieles wissenswertes über Schlangen vermittelt. Auch die Ausbreitung von arglos ausgesetzten ehemaligen Haustieren, die sich in dieser warmen Umgebung hemmungslos vermehren. Die freilebenden Würgeschlangen werden zunehmend ein Problem in Florida. Zum Abschluss durften die Besucher sich noch mit den zahmen Schlangen ablichten lassen.
Danach haben wir die Zeit bis zur Gatorshow mit der Besichtigung der übrigen Tiere überbrückt. Wasserschildkröten, Florida-​Panther, Landschildkröten und verschiedene Schlangen konnten besichtigt werden.

Pünktlich zur nächsten vollen Stunde um 11.00 Uhr wurde dann die Gatorshow präsentiert. Ein Hulk Hogan ähnlicher Mann hat hierzu den großen Alligator am Schwanz in Position geschleift und einige Kunststücke vorgeführt. Man merkte schon, dass dieser Kerl früher Alligatorenringen bestritten hat und als zusätzlichen Broterwerb Alligatoren aus den häuslichen Pools entfernt. Anschließend durften die Besucher Baby-​Alligatoren in die Hände nehmen und sich dabei ablichten lassen.
Zwischendurch konnten wir unzählige gezüchtete Mini-​Alligatoren bewundern, die nach Größe sortiert in verschiedenen Becken auf die Besucher warteten. Am Automaten konnte man für wenig Geld spezielles Futter erwerben.
Als Abschluss konnte man um 12.00 Uhr beim Füttern der Alligatoren über die Schulter schauen. Nur mit einer Mülltonne bewaffnet stand Hulk Hogan inmitten der unzähligen Alligatoren. Es gab leckere tote Ratten zum Verzehr. Angeblich kann ein Alligator ein ganzes Jahr ohne Nahrung überleben.

Ein interessanter und spannender Vormittag ging zu Ende und wir waren froh, dass wir jetzt der heißen Sonne entfliehen konnten. Der Besuch hat sich gelohnt und ist aus meiner Sicht absolut empfehlenswert.

Ich wahr selber schon vor Ort, kannich jeden nur empfehlen.
