Creamery Ice Cream

Got a note through Unilocal for someone claiming to be from the company. Harassing the customer online because the company got called out for having terrible customer service isn’t going to solve any problems. There is no reason to visit this establishment, especially when there are numerous other wonderful businesses in the area.

I am not impressed with the Creamery, but my oldest daughter loves this place. I, personally, judge the quality of ice cream by the flavor of plain vanilla or chocolate ice cream, without all of the toppings. Well, this place does not pass the vanilla taste test. It’s cold and creamy, but it’s bland!!! Now, my daughter, on the other hand, loves the Oreo & Brownie Blaster. She says there is a perfect mixture of the Oreo and Brownies. I tasted hers, and I will give credit where credit is due!

If you want top notch ice cream in any variety, this is your place.
If you want it scooped with a smile… go somewhere else.
I cannot speak for every employee, because I have had some great experiences here, but the last few times. not so much. If i go in the afternoon, during the week, i get smiles and employees who actually enjoy their job. If i go on the weekend, its hit or miss. One incident in particular: went to the drive thru, i was asked to park (not a big deal) waited ten minutes (also not a big deal) the girl came out, said nothing, handed me my food, and walked away. that’s a big deal.
We do frequent here often because its only five minutes away. but i send the hubs now.

Came to get ice cream with my brother and cousin on Memorial Day.
I got a heath bar blaster, my bro and cousin had sundaes. They liked theirs, I didn’t care for mine.
It seemed like just vanilla ice cream with chunks of heath bars thrown in. I hate to say it, but I really think Dairy Queen’s blizzards are much better, and likely cheaper. This blaster was pretty dull and not very well blended together. Maybe it’s not supposed to be, I’m not sure?
My brother ordered his sundae without whipped cream, and lo and behold, it had whipped cream on it.
I like the location of the Creamery and it seems it’s a local business with a few locations around the ‘burbs, this particular visit just didn’t cut it, for me.
I’ll have to come back and try a soft serve or sundae.

This place is pretty cool. A bit overpriced but I was so excited to go when I found out they had rainbow cones! My parents used to always take me back to the original rainbow cone when I was little so I was pumped to go. And then unfortunately let down. The rainbow cone sucks bad. Bad some of their other food and ice creams are alright

I love this place. They make great Rainbow Cones. I stop here every time I come to visit my parents.

Had some good ice cream here. Not life changing but we’ll definitely be back. Did not try the food side of things, but would like to.

Ummmm… Just discovered this place recently. and i am sure glad I did. I was extremely excited to hear that they had rainbow cones! That gave me a flashback to my childhood for sure. My cone was every bit as delicious as I remembered.
We came here specifically for the rainbow cones but the food menu caught me eye. I heard the food here is pretty good short order and the prices are definitely right. Will have to come back here to try something to eat.
The service was fast and they kept the line moving and we were served quickly. They were not the friendliest bunch but they were pleasant while keeping us moving on our way.

Try a Rainbow Cone! It’s just as good here as in the shop in Chicago.

Skip the burgers as they are generic tasting — nothing special. Just spend your money on the ice cream, it is delicious.
They also have Rainbow Cone packaged to go — yes, it has all the layers and you can scoop it out to enjoy at home.

Living in the area, it’s definitely nice to have an easy spot to stop for a burger and ice cream that isn’t Wendy’s or Burger King or McDonalds. Particularly a place that serves rainbow cone. I can’t get enough rainbow cone! And for that fact I wish I could give the Creamery two separate reviews. One for the ice cream and one for their food/​service. Their burgers are pretty delicious and a nice size… But I can’t rate them positively mainly because I don’t think I’ve ever had a burger from the Creamery exactly the way I’ve ordered it. We order at the drive-​thru at lot, which makes it more frustrating to order two double cheeseburgers with everything on them and added bacon, only to open them up in the car and find them to have only bacon… On both burgers… And that’s all we ordered. And it’s not a one time instance. Last time we ordered the same thing… this time requesting pepperjack cheese. We open them in the car to find they both have Swiss cheese. Couple times we’ve been charged for bacon and there was no bacon at all. I’d like to give the creamery ⁴⁄₅ stars… And maybe once they get an order correct
I will updated review at give it to them. But until then my advice is to check your drive– thru order before leaving and I stand by my 3 star review. PS– don’t bother trying to call either… The phone rings continuously without response.

I love this place!
So much to choose from! I can just stare at the menu and drool for awhile. The few times i have been here I usually get a sundae… the small is a perfect size! They are generous with the Caramel and the whip cream! Yuuumm sundaes!

Hot fudge boston was great. I love this place. It’s a very tough find to get the boston style shake. Thanks creamery for taking me back to when I was 10 with my dad at the local soda shop. See you in the summer.

Now I like ice cream as much as the next fat kid, and I like this place too. I’ll get to the «but» of that statement in a min. The shakes/​malts/​whatever you call them. I don’t know that there is actually any difference. Everyone says «ohhhh, a malt is much thicker. And Boston style you need a spoon for» or something like that. (Don’t fact check those quotes, I made them up) But I can’t tell the difference, they’re just good.
The creamery is nice to have around because it feels like an old timey get together spot in the summer. You almost always make or run into a friend or too. It’s nice, it’s not like the «Big Box» ice cream places where they just treat you like a number. You really feel like part of something here.
Now to the «but». My wife grew up with the Rainbow Cone. Her and her mother swoon for it. It was huge when they found out The Creamery had it. I just don’t think its that special. I don’t. Go ahead and judge me for it, but give me a milkshake any day. For those of you that don’t know it’s a giant 7 – 12 flavor stacked cone of ice cream that is rainbow colored. (once again, please don’t fact check it might not be anywhere near 12) It’s mediocre at best. But don’t tell my wife I said that, I don’t fell like sleeping on the couch.

I never have a problem with the food, but when you have a sign up that says you open at 11:00 you should open at 11:00 instead of leaving people stand outside until 11:05 or 11:10 and this is not the first time this has happened to me, not very good service.

Sometimes its crowded but its pretty fast service. If its crowded just go to the drive thru. Good ice cream and they have rainbow cone ice cream so I don’t have to travel far to get it! Never been disappointed and isn’t too pricey.
