History

Established in 1968.

Rodney and Faye Grooms opened Grooms Motors in 1968 after retiring in 1998 the Grooms family is back. Barry Grooms has reopened the business while maintaining a busy career at REMAX in real estate. He has his nephew Rob Riley running the day to day operations and Robby Self long time entrepreneur of Long Boat Key Chevron in charge of the technical repairs. The Grooms family is grateful to have two people like Rob and Robby to represent their family’s name.

Manager

Rob Riley was raised in the automotive repair business since he was 12 years old. At the age of 19 he started a career in auto parts and at 25 he moved to the island of Anguilla with his high school sweet heart Gina, and two year old son Tyler to run a NAPA franchise, and an island tire shop. He and his wife moved back to the states to have their daughter Reese. Now, he is carrying on the Grooms family name for his uncle Barry Grooms and his mother, Faye Grooms. This is included with the assistance of Rob Self, a long time auto repair shop owner located on Long Boat Key.
