Mike Greig of Capt. Mike’s Charters has been licensed by the US Coast Guard since since 1995 and has been fishing the waters around Tampa Bay and Anna Maria Island for more that 30 years.

Business Owner

Mike Greig was raised on Anna Maria Island. His family owned Mike’s Bait and Tackle on Bridge Street in the 1970’s. That’s where Mike’s love for fishing began. He spent all his free time fishing on the Anna Maria City Pier and the Rod & Reel Pier. Now Mike is married and raising his son to be the next generation of fisherman on the island.

Wow what can I say. A second time Mike has put me on the fish. He knew what was biting and where to fish. Picked me up on time, he had caught the bait earlier that am. We shot out to the gulf and caught Bonita’s and Amber Jack up to 30 pounds, we saw fish over 50. Moved to a spot and caught Red Grouper up to 20Lb. and various bottom fish. The boat was clean and ran well. Mike knows the waters, bait and fishing spots. I have fished all over with various guide services and Mike was right up there with the top guides. He knows his stuff. Cleaned all the fish and bagged them for me. 12 years ago I had a similar experience with him. Mike consistently putting me on fish speaks volumes for his service. When we return we will fish with Mike.

Not worth your time. 130.00 for one fish, sure more was caught but they gave the bigger catches of mine to those not even fishing. Then when filleting my fish they kept 9 pounds of a 10 pound fish! Yep they can’t even get that right. Not to forget they ran out of fish bait half way through! Yep never again. Would not recommend this charter!!! Very dissatisfied and not worth the money!!! I say find a different one that don’t only give you options where you aren’t limited to a fish with a limit of one but won’t take advantage of you. These people should not be in business. And only 2 bad reviews on here but lots more on other review sites.
