Sri Prabha Mixed Media Artwork

We have several of Sri Prabha’s works in our home including a triptych that is inspired by marine life with its rich and textured blues, greens and oranges. Some of the artist’s more recent works are produced through a special process that involves the use of multiple layers of paint and resin to create depth and dimension in his work that is truly unique. Through the process, his paintings become sculpture and he is able to express complex ideas in a format that does not necessarily require a large canvas. The artist’s larger pieces are of the caliber that you would expect to find permanently displayed in public places where they can be appreciated by a wide audience. One piece that I have in my home, a rich, deep purple field traversed by a wide, curving river of gold leaf, conveys calm and serenity. The other, a small orange and yellow spattering of bright axons and dendrites, sparks energy and joy.
