Quality Inn Near Hollywood Walk of Fame

The Quality Inn Near the Hollywood Walk of Fame (phew… quite the title) was an okay hotel for my one night, no-​more-​than-​12-​hour-​stay in Hollywood. I ended up in a 1-​King bed, Accessible room just around the corner from the Front Desk area. The rooms are accessed via outdoor corridors from either the indoor parking garage or main lobby. The rest of the place is pretty much a gated, locked maze.
The room was pretty good, though aspects of it could have been a little bit cleaner on first entry. The toilet was in need of some cleaning and the chair from the room has been collecting some things in the cushion for sometime. But the important thing to me… the bed… was immaculate. The sheets even had a faint smell from the bleach used to clean them so I felt comfortable snuggling in that evening. The large flat screen television, refrigerator, and microwave were nice touches to the room. The initial cleanliness issues were addressed when asked.
The location is probably their best selling point. I had only a couple of hours to actually check out the sights and this hotel allowed me to easily walk to them within minutes. TCL, Hollywood Walk of Fame, etc. The free indoor parking comes in a close second for selling points. It is gated and locked after hours and FREE! It can be a bit difficult to maneuver the tight quarters down there but the convenience of having a space is worth it.
The free continental breakfast was pretty good. Everything was well-​stocked… belgian waffles, breads, muffins, yogurts, juices, coffees. The seating in this area was quite limited so I brought the food back to my room. Had it been a little bit warmer out I would have dined out on the inner courtyard patio area next to the outdoor pool. The atmosphere was pretty quiet, perhaps because it was a bit chilly for people to remain outdoors for a party or swim.
I would consider staying here again under similar circumstances… and if the price was right!

This place is in a great location but don’t bother staying here if your trying to get a good nights sleep. The bar «adults only» in the Burger King shopping center keeps you up until 2:30am blasting their bass. Not only on the weekends but weekdays also Tues-​Fri.

They don’t even deserve a one star there customer service was so horrible I stayed for one night kind of spur of the moment I was told I was paying 164 come to find out they didn’t tell me about the tax ended up staying for one night for damn near 200 dollars that’s just ridiculous then I call to figure out what happen and «Ray» who claims to be the manager kept saying that the room is 160+ tax but I’m confused why they wouldn’t say then when I’m checking in. Bullshit service.

I feel like the main reason to stay at the Hollywood Days Inn is the location. Right in the Centre of the action you won’t need a car to get to where you want to be!
The staff are very friendly, extremely chilled out and don’t seem to mind having a group of 15 or so touring musicians running around wildly.
The rooms smell a little funny and the air conditioning isn’t the best but hey– it’s relatively safe and pretty clean.
If you are on a budget and want to get around Hollywood easily this is probably a great option!

Don’t be scared by the prior reviews. We stayed 1 nite so we could go to the WeHo Halloween carnavale — and the motel is just a few blocks from WeHo’s free shuttle to the party. The nite desk clerk was friendly; the sheets were clean; the bathroom was clean; there’s an in-​n-​out, ihop and Starbucks close by – what more do you people want? (It’s true there’s only a 6′ clearance in the underground garage though.) Gawd give the place a chance!

Quality Inn near hollywood walk of fame is a decent hotel while in hollywood. It’s convenient to many fast food restaurants, the walk of fame, shopping and gas stations. Obviously, it’s not going to be a four seasons hotel, but this quality Inn serves it’s purpose (especially for the price.) It’s and older hotel and could use a little renovations in the rooms, but it isnt bad, at all. I was kind of concerned about staying here with some of the reviews I seen, but it’s a lot better than what I thought. They let us check in 2 hours early, which was nice, and free parking! They also have nice flat scteen tv’s, a microwave and nice size mini fridge. would probably stay here again, while in hollywood.

Me que quedado bastante sorprendida cuando vi las malas reseñas de este hotel, ya que nosotros tuvimos realmente una muy buena estancia… ¿era pura suerte? Nunca lo sabremos.
He visto que las demás fotos que salen son ya más antiguas… ahora todo el edificio está reformado y cambiado totalmente de look. Así que esperemos que los cambios sean para mejor en todos los sentidos.
Para nosotros, la relación calidad-​precio era muy buena (y teniendo en cuenta que los alojamientos de esta cadena son más bien moteles, estábamos realmente de lujo).
Estaba todo limpio, las camas cómodas, las habitaciones modernas con bañera, no había mucho ruido (pedir una habitación que da al patio)… si buscas un sitio para ducharte y dormir bien para recorrer Los Ángeles durante el día, este alojamiento puede servirte perfectamente.
En mi opinión, este Quality Inn ofrece las siguientes ventajas:
1. Muy buena localización a dos manzanas del Hollywood Boulevard (hay una estación de metro muy cercana para ir a Downtown rápidamente y sin tráfico, búsquedas de parking, etc.). Cerca de todo lo típico de Hollywood, de Beverly Hills y para acercarse a Santa Mónica, Malibu o Venice Beach.
2. Parking gratis (comparado con otros sitios donde pagas 15 $ o mucho más por noche)
3. Desayuno gratis (lo llaman «desayuno continental sencillo», pero para esta categoría de hotel nos pareció nada sencillo: hay pan, pastelitos dulces, muffins, bagels… yogures, fruta fresca, huevos cocidos, 3 o 4 tipos de cereales, gofreras y masa de gofres (AMO este sitio solo por eso), zumos, café, té… suficiente para preparar el cuerpo para un día intenso de turismo! Obviamente no hay un bufé de hotel en plan huevos revueltos, salmón ahumado, etc., pero creo que con esta oferta nadie se puede quejar.
El edificio en sí si que no es nuevo, pero gracias a la reforma se crea un ambiente muy acogedor con colores alegres.
En el patio hay una piscina y hamacas para descansar.
Le pongo 4 estrellas por todas las cosas que ofrece a pesar de su categoría sencilla y su precio bastante económico.

Dirty rooms, idiot staff, dirty towels in room, shanty building… DONOT stay here and waste your time and money !

Stayed here for my friend’s birthday weekend and wasn’t expecting it to be as nice as it was for the price. The room was clean and spacious and the hotel was in a great location. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, and Hollywood Boulevard. The front desk staff was awesome and very helpful. My friend and I could not get a bottle of wine open and the man at the front desk helped us open it. We were greeted every time we walked in the door and had no problems at check in or check out. Made the booking online and received exactly what I paid for. Parking is a bit cramped but it is free so I cant really complain. Overall a great location and a great price for a decent room. If I am in the area again I will be staying here.

We stayed here as a group of 6 for a period of 4 nights. On the first day of check in the front desk personnel was very attentive and helpful.
The breakfast was decent for what we were paying for and the hotel is ideally located near to the train, Hollywood and major bus routes. In addition there is a laundry right across the street.
The wi-​fi is an added bonus and the noise levels were not bad considering it was on a main road.
All in all you get what you paying for but in terms of a clean bed and a nice breakfast you can do worse. Would recommend it if on a budget.

When we decided to spend the night in L. A, we chose to stay at this Inn because of the convenient location nearby my friend’s place as well as the Walk of Fame. Anyway, we were lucky to get the room because someone else canceled the reservation. But they do charge us for $ 109 plus tax after I told them we were students. so the price was cut off by 20 bucks. The room was clean and the shower was good. The continental breakfast wasn’t that bad at all. I’d imagine us stay over again.

My husband and I stayed at the Quality Inn in Burbank and already had made reseration for a week in Hollywood Quality Inn. We decided because of the horrible Burbank Motel stay we should visit the Hollywood Motel. None of the rooms were made by 2;30. Location good so we disguised cancelling but the final slap was today, I called had was put on hold for 20 minutes then he came back to the phone I told him I wanted to just cancell 25−30^th and he told me he did not have me at his hotel, and almost hung up! I insisted he look again and he argued with me until he noticed my last name was misspelled. «i said, wow I just wanted to give you a heads up» «he said in a cocky voice, we would just charged your credit card». Not a nice place. The rooms were old and run down but the worst part was the customer service. Go there give them you credit card number be very careful they spell your name correct.

Terrible Staff. Unclean place. George Garcia canceled my room when we arrived (leaving us high and dry completely for a room in Hollywood — thank god we could stay with a friend that night).
I made a reservation over the phone and asked if two parking spots are included in the room as I needed that and would not make a reservation with the hotel unless that was guaranteed. The gentlemen said said it isn’t a problem and that he would write a note on the room reservation stating he approved two parking spaces with the room at no additional charge.
I put both my and my boyfriend’s name on the reservation and when my boyfriend got there first George Garcia would not let him even check-​in. I called to get my boyfriend checked in just so he could use the bathroom — George Garcia answered and he told me, «You cannot have two parking spots; no one would have ever agreed to that, we don’t allow it. There is no note on your reservation. I don’t care what you were told, I will not do that, you don’t want a reservation here, I just canceled your reservation».
I told him I never asked to cancel the reservation, I just want to work out something with the parking issue and asked if the person who made the reservation was there and/​or speak with his (George Garcia’s) supervisor. George said «He’s not and no one is here, I am the only manager — I canceled the reservation you are no longer staying here.»
I was shocked — I told him that we are coming to Hollywood for an event and I do not wish to cancel the reservation, I just want to work out something with the parking or being able to get reimbursed possibly. He was very short and bluntly rude, he refused to «uncancel» my reservation.
I said, «you are not showing very good customer service for your inn» and he replied, «well, I canceled your reservation, so you were never a customer and I don’t care if you are happy or not!» and then hung up on me.
These are all direct quotes. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had in dealing with someone from the front desk. As of now, I never want to stay at a Quality Inn and Suite or their associated hotels again. Due to how poorly I was treated and completely disrespected.
In all honesty, this employee crossed the professional boundary as well as my comfort zone over and over and in anger — the quality of service from him was so poor that it would merit being fired.

For cleanliness and cost ratio, this hotel ranks highly. This does not include the hotels proximity to the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Not too expensive, pleasant enough staff, and a clean bed. Is it perfect? Nothing is. Is it clean, and not expensive, absolutely. I’d stay here again, and I’d recommend it for the above mentioned items.

This place just sucked.
My family came to L.A. to visit me, and they happened to pick this place in Hollywood. While things seemed to go smoothly at first, things just went downhill later on. They booked a room for four nights, five days, but on the third night, they couldn’t get in. A handicapped member of mine was with us, btw. Since I was there with them that night, I talked to the front desk person about it. He gave us replacement cards but that failed too. When we asked him again, he got suspicious of us and was hesitant to help us. Of course, this just pissed everyone off. We later find out that he was the one who screwed up with the reservations. Nevertheless, we threatened to talk to the manager if he wouldn’t book us another room, of which he complied to. The breakfast car is too small and crowded at all times in the morning. It’s in Hollywood, a lot of people come and go in the hotels so it’s packed. Do yourself a favor and find a more upscale place, even if it is more expensive — you’re better off just dealing with the same BS in a nicer place as shallow as that sounds. The parking spaces were just downright awful, too. Great location, but terrible staff and sloppy services. I will never come back here or recommend this place to anyone.

I was in a bit of a bind over the weekend, and went on
and booked a hotel through their «Top Secret Hotel» link. Big mistake. It’s a scam!
I got stuck w/​the Quality Inn in Burbank. It’s right by an active train track. Trains went by every 45 – 60 minutes until about 9pm, and then started up again at 8am.
I got stuck in a smoking room, which nearly set off my asthma. I finally got to switch to a non-​smoking room, which wasn’t much better. The doors were hard to close shut, the walls had gouges in them and my car got a key scratch on it.
In no way is this a 3 star hotel. As for Travelocity’s gimmick that it’s a top secret hotel because the price is so amazing– not true. I only saved $ 6.
To make matters worse, I immediately called their customer support line and could barely understand their agent. He gave me an email address so I could voice my concerns, but it was the wrong email address (I even read every letter back to him to make sure I got it right). He also told me that he could call the hotel, but I probably couldn’t get my money back. I didn’t want to risk paying for two hotels.
I called their customer support line again after 48 hours had passed and I hadn’t heard anything back. That’s when I found out I’d been given the wrong email address. When I tried to tell my story to this agent (also w/​a very heavy accent), he remained silent as if to say, «what do you want me to do about it?». From my experience, Travelocity doesn’t care about the experience, as long as they can sucker you into buying their product.
Travelocity’s «official» esponse to me? They emailed me a survey asking how I liked my stay at the Quality Inn. No follow up w/​a live person. Nothing.
Travelocity does not care about the customer’s experience. The «top secret hotel» gimmick is a scam. Do not stay at this hotel or use Travelocity! You will be sorry!

I am never going to come back to this place. It was a dump with weird crowd. We stayed here just for a night and OMG — there was police in the hotel and they arrested someone from one of the rooms– right across our room.
The breakfast was ok but I just wanted to veto out of the place and never suggesting this to any one.

Has parking, but is a terrible underground lot that is harder than hell to get in or out of. Location is good as far as being close to everything (especially Bossa Nova). Traffic noise is bad if you don’t leave the AC or fan running. Staff is pretty nice. My biggest complaint is that the moron upstairs left his water on and in the middle of the night water poured down through the bathroom ceiling soaking the bathroom and even the carpet outside the bathroom. They couldn’t give us a new room because they were booked. So instead they gave us a small heater to dry the carpet. Wouldn’t stay here again. I only give two stars because the staff was nice, and the location was convenient.

Don’t fall in trap for price. Especially if u hv a family with kids, definitly don’t recommend staying here.
I checked in to a room late at night where door doesn’t open, later i was moved to a room where toilet doesn’t flush. Finally i was moved to second floor with no choice.
Even if u get to stay on first floor there are few stairs to climb, if u hv heavy luggage need to carry on stairs. All the parking spot are pretty weird to park. Parking garage on the basement is worse. It will say 6′ clearane but u will get scratched if u drive a mini van.
Lot of mold in the room. I would pay $ 20.00 extra and stay in a better hotel instead. I hv never rated 1 star in my life.
Break fast is decent, in a cramped location.

I stayed at The Quality Inn over Halloween week end, 3 nights, because of the location and because of the other reviews that I have read.
The staff was kind and helpful.
The hotel was in OK shape. I am a clean freak, so I noticed the fingerprints on the bathroom door and the drips in the shower on the walls, but besides that the room was OK. It smelled OK. The bed was comfortable. There is 2 HBO channels and one if a bit snowy, but I think that was the reception not the T.V.
The breakfast was OK. Not great, not bad.
The location is very good. The bus runs down Sunset comes every 20 minutes was very convenient. A 7eleven, Ross dress for less, fast food, laundrOmat, and liquor stores all with in a five minute walk.
I would recommend this hotel for the price and the location.

If it weren’t for the noise situation that arose, and the atrocious customer service that followed, I would probably give them 3 or 4 stars.
One night during our stay, the business next door – which was right outside of our room’s door – was doing illegal jackhammer work in the middle of the night. When I complained, the night manager was useless. I ended up having to resolve the situation myself, and the jackhammer was finally put away at about 1:30am. The next day was ruined.
When the night manager was unable to deal with the situation, I called the 800 number for Choice Hotels, and they only person to talk to was a reservation agent. This concerned me quite a bit. What if there were a real emergency going on? This chain – which includes over 6000 hotels – has no one at the corporate office to handle emergencies at their properties in the middle of the night!!! Now, I understand this jackhammering wasn’t a true emergency, just a big inconvenience for me personally. But, the fact that there was no one but a reservation agent available concerns me, and I doubt I will ever stay at a Choice Hotels location again because of it. They will take your reservation/​money in the middle of the night, but not deal with problems.
Afterwards, the company went through the motions of customer service following my complaint without actually providing any actual customer service. They sent me a personal email and made a phone call about a week after my stay, but didn’t seem to understand the situation. They gave me an extra 3000 points in my «rewards account» for the trouble, which is basically worth nothing.
The location was good and the bed was kinda comfy, which surprised me. But the custumer service after the incident was such a failure that I doubt I will ever stay at another Choice Hotels location again.
