Property management is the operation of commercial, industrial and/​or residential real estate. This is much akin to the role of management in any business. One important role is that of liaison between the landlord and/​or the management firm operaing on the landlord’s behalf and tenant. Duties of property management include accepting rent, responding to and addressing maintenance issues, and providing a buffer for those landlords desiring to distance themselves from their tenant constituency.

Many property owners prefer to turn over the supervision of their residential properties to a professional management company. For many, this is a wise decision, because it means that their property and their interests in it are being protected and managed by professionals while, at the same time, they are freed from the day to day responsibilities usually associated with ownership.

History

Established in 1980.

We are a small family business in the same location here in downtown hollywood since approx. 1980. We started in business doing rentals and then of course sales. In the beginning our specialty was multi family properties sold to investors. We also started buying our own properties, i think this is how we came to do property management, it was just an extension of manageing our own properties. We take pride in handling the clients property like it was our own. From leaseing it to the proper qualified applicant to the daily management issues. We are a a full service realestate office.

My name is larry langsbard i moved from Canton Ohio to the N. Miami area in 1969. Actually have known and grew up with the owner of Preferred Property since that time. I have extensive knowledge of the north dade and south broward areas. I now reside in the hallandale beach area with my wife Marci. Joined preferred property in 1982 and have seen the ups and downs of this great business. I am a realestate broker and a member of the South Broward Board of Realtors. I believe that real estate can be one of the best avenues to future security and wealth.
