Mathnasium was started by an inspired math teacher and father who wanted to make math make sense for his son and his students.

Doug P.

Business Owner

After getting his Bachelors Degree in Biology and Chemistry, Doug started his career in the travel industry, and after watching his son grow into a successful mathlete, he was inspired to open a Mathnasium Center in sunny Fort Lauderdale. Doug is passionate about reaching as many students and parents as possible, because in Doug’s eyes, everyone has the capacity to learn Number Sense and succeed in their math classes.
