Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort

I highly recommend this hotel beach Resort. The bellman Ron was great. Guest service with Jodi was a great experience. She was professional, friendly and knowledgeable.
Friendly staff, diverse environment and clean atmosphere. Hollywood beach strip is entertaining with restaurants and live entertainment. The food was good. The drinks were better. The hotel room was clean and I must admit the best sleep ever! The bed was extra comfortable. The sheets were clean and smell fresh. I will be visiting this beach resort again! We enjoy our time there. Please check it out!

Love the ambience and location, the live entertainment isn’t bad either. I’m a little disappointed with their margaritas… overpriced and not that great. Other than that would be back for the experience.

We’re locals checking out the hotel and celebrating a birthday. We called ahead and heard that our room wouldn’t be ready but we couldn’t wait to explore the place so we headed down early. We arrived around 12:30pm on Saturday for one night. After checking in with Jeffrey, who was super welcoming, we were upgraded to a beautiful ocean and intracoastal view suite (no wait!!). It was clean, spacious and had the biggest patio ever (complete with lounge chairs, couch and trademark Margaritaville chairs). We walked around the hotel and explored. It was beautiful! So tropical, sleek and trendy. The lobby was huge and had Jimmy Buffet quotes spread out. It was cool. The key cards only needed to be tapped on the elevator and doors so that was easy.
We went straight for food at Landshark. Everyone seemed to be in a great mood and on vacation mode. The bartenders and staff we’re having so much fun working, on a Saturday! After a delicious blackens fish sandwich we headed over to the pool near the tiki bar. It was a little less crowded and still had sun so it was calling my name. We wanted to go to the pool on the 11^th floor near the chill zone but there were 2 weddings and it was closed from 1pm — close. So that was a bit of a bummer. Next we checked out the FlowRider. We’re both pretty active and have done many water sport activities. My boyfriend went while I stayed at the pool and came back with a bad vibe. After hearing his experience dealing with the guy in under the tiki hut I figured I’d take it into my own hands. His approach wasn’t at all like the other staff. He seemed to wonder what the hell I wanted with the FlowRider. Mind you, I have an athletic build, my boyfriend even more; both capable of surfing. I asked when they were open till and he said «whenever they say». Ok, who’s they? When do «they“usually say? What are your hours… Not the type of service we were greeted by from other staff members. He said that two people usually share. They schedule an hour bodyboarding and then an hour stand up and you can do 30mins for $ 30… I’m still not sure why they divide the time when the two people who share it go one at a time (never two people on at once). Of course the bodyboarding hour had JUST started and we weren’t going to wait till it got dark and the water was colder. As I left the tiki hut I saw another family walking away disappointed because they didn’t have cash and needed to go to the ATM.
After getting tons of sun we headed over to Five o’clock somewhere to catch the sunset. Seeing the crowd as we walked over made us thought it was the place to be! Turned out the crowd was all retirees and a private party! No feet in the sand and drinks here :(we headed back to the hotel and hung out on our beautiful patio and got ready for the night. The shower in the room wasn’t the best… I wish we had a tub.
Anyway, we headed to Margaritaville and left our name with the hostess. With a half hour to kill at the bar, met up another couple our age that we met earlier by the pool. We had a blast! I even recognized a bartender from a pub in Fort Lauderdale. Felt like home! There was also a girl on stilts making ballon animals! Of course we got some ridiculous hats and things. After we were seated and kept the drinks coming (in order to celebrate), we ordered dinner and waited. Our waiter was MIA throughout the entire meal. He had a ton of pins too (on his suspenders) which I thought meant he either worked at a lot of bars or earned them for being awesome… I wouldn’t have guess either based on his service. I forgot to mention, before we sat we made sure the hostess knew we had a birthday to celebrate. As we finished eating, a couple staff members and our waiter came up with a plate of ice cream, cake and candles! It was fun! We left with our stomachs stuffed and went straight to bed lol. Checkout was a breeze the next morning, though we did NOT want to leave. The bed was a huge king and extra comfy btw. We grabbed a breakfast sandwich from the coffee place downstairs, bacon (LOTS), egg and cheese on a bagel. Yum!
I would definitely go back but if you can, check ahead for weddings and private events so you don’t miss out on everything the hotel has to offer. Lucky for us we’re only 30 minutes away and can go back soon! Even if you only have a day and want to escape, it’s a great choice! :)

I cannot describe the décor at Margaritaville because it’s just so beautiful you have to experience it for yourself. We are platinum members of Marriott but the customer service provided to us by Jeff and Jackie at the front desk was outstanding. He upgraded us to a corner room with a view of the beach and intracoastal. The king size bed was the most comfortable bed we have slept in. Sipping coffee from the Keurig coffee maker felt like being at home. There are so many amenities to enjoy. The quality of the food and portion sizes was good. The service at the restaurant was outstanding. Live band «30 vice» played popular oldies and new hits. The only thing I must have a negative comment on is their drinks. Their margaritas are horrible. Too sweet. We were in a group and everyone agreed. If you are going to serve margaritas at such a place, it should be made from scratch. Drinks were overpriced for the quality and quantity. Tequila shots were 11.00 and the shot glass was half full. Weather was too cold and outdoor bars were closed so I can’t speak about that.

Prime location is what makes this resort Great. Right at the center of all the action on Hollywood beach. Rooms are clean, spacious and lobby is beautiful. Very pricy, guess that’s what u get for being a local acting like a tourist ! There are tons of amazing local restaurants near by (that are better than the food there) so i would recommend venturing out. Hit up the spa while I was there. Very nice, had a great massage and sat in the jacuzzi. They do have the surf simulator outside which is super cool and passers by line up to watch. Can’t wait to do that.

Really love this new addition to Hollywood Beach! Prominently on the Hollywood Broadwalk the views from the rooms & conference space are breath taking! Photos for a wedding will look amazing with the ocean and beach in the background. I was there for an early breakfast conference so the sun was still coming up — beautiful!
There are multiple restaurants located in the resort for various options. Tons of live music and two pools for both kid friendly and one for adults.
Cool feature is the flow rider for everyone wanting to experience surfing in Hollywood! Not the adventurous type it’s worth standing their to watch others try it out or the pros that go on throughout the day!

Let me just say that I wanted so badly to give this place the 5^th star because I HAD AN ABSOLUTE BALL !! But I can’t based on the list at the bottom.
Been a DJ 36 years now and a Parrothead for quite a long time as well so I had to laugh when I read an earlier review where the reviewer (sorry Edith) spelled Margaritaville wrong and then followed it with «strange crowd».
We just got back to Boston today and all we could talk about is what an amazing time we had a the Margaritaville Resort. Top to bottom an outstanding hotel. My friends and I traveled to see the Patriots play and I talked them into spending a little more and staying here. All of them can’t wait to return. The staff, from the minute we walked through the door were all warm and inviting. MVP goes to Brian our bartender in Margaritaville bar. Quality of drinks and food were spot on as I have been to many other spots with the JB name. There was plenty to do and it was central to many other little gems like Nicks, GG’s and Joe’s Tiki Bar nearby. They have a top shelf fitness center (looked good through the window) and a FREE guest laundry (never seen that before), which I needed to dry my clothes after getting soaked following the Patriots game .Room service runs 24 hours but be warned if you order after 11PM very limited.
Now, all the nice comments aside, here is what they could do better :
1. More supervision for the pool bar, it seemed very chaotic and messy and I heard them tell two different people that they were out of strawberry and banana mix. I am giving that a pass because this was January 2^nd.
2. Hire more bus boys/​girls. You would not believe how long empty plates sat around in Marg. Restaurant.
3. Pool closes at dusk. Let me say that again: Pool closes at dusk.
4. Bad design in the Marg. restaurant. The stage should be the focal point of the room like it is in Vegas. We spent the whole weekend at the bar and could hear the band just fine but I couldn’t tell you what they looked like or how many pieces in the band, It’s like someone decided to stick the band in the corner. Were any musicians consulted in this design?

Recently stayed at Margaritaville Resort for the first time. My wife and I were there for my works annual meeting.
Upon walking into the main lobby we were enthusiastically greeted by hotel staff and directing where to check in.
The check in process was fairly fast and easy and the front desk employees were very friendly to us.
The hotel itself is very nice with accommodations that exceeded my expectations. The room was clean, had a large bathroom, and a comfy bed.
The elevators sometimes take a while to arrive which is kind of annoying but patience is a virtue I suppose.
The location is kind of strange at first located in the heart of the Hollywood Boardwalk. But after getting out and walking around the area really grows on you. There are cool restaurants and beautiful oceans views all around you.
The on site restaurants are just so so. I would recommend trying the Peruvian restaurant next door of the taco spot down the boardwalk.
Never the less not a bad little resort.

What a cool place to come to with family, friends, significant others or even solo!!! First the parking garage has a view of the ocean, how perfect of a start is that! !!! We went straight to the boardwalk to see all the bars, shops, stores, restaurants, the ocean, etc. There was so much to do and see. There was even a stage for performances and there was even a place you could learn how to surf. It was fun to see people try and let’s not lie but even more fun when they fall down.
We entered Jimmy Buffets restaurant through the back entrance so we could stop at the bars first. Once inside the place was decorated amazingly! !! The floors look like your standing in water, the ceiling has a compass and different Caribbean islands. There are palm trees and even tables that were actual boats. They even had two people walking around on stilts blowing up balloons for kids. Like I said just so much to look at. We were seated and ordered drinks right away. The beers were cold but my bloody mary could’ve been a tad spicier but it was still good. The shrimp appetizer as well as the volcano nachos were great. Now hubby and I both ordered tacos, he had fish, which he said was overly breaded and had no flavor. I had the steak and same here just very bland. My friend had the fried chicken and we all tasted it so that was good but definitely skip the tacos. We met up with some more friends and went to the next restaurant, Land Shark. We sat on the second floor balcony (we were told the first floor is only for hotel guests) which was awesome because a concert was in full effect singing tunes from the 80’s, 90’s, and today. It was so nice, everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. After our friends ate and more rounds of drinks we decided to walk around more. The breeze was nice and we people watched alot before deciding to go back to the concert. Now I love to dance, and sing along with the band but I was laughing to hard at the people around us. Let me explain, most were husband’s and wives with children but the parents looked like they needed to unwind, get a few drinks in them and get loose. I mean this one couple just broke it down as if they were making a video. It was super sweet seeing people just enjoy themselves as their kids just ran circles around them. This place is a definite hang out for all.
As it got darker the pool at the hotel was lit up with these beautiful red lights and you can see the waterfall behind it. The scenery was beautiful. Would definitely come back here but stay for a weekend to truly enjoy the atmosphere as a whole.

This hotel is so beautiful it’s a shame the service is terrible. I took my boyfriend for our 2 year anniversary and I’m just so disappointed with the amount paid per night I expected the service to be outstanding. The staff seemed to be dragging ass no matter what area of the hotel you were in. I only had one good service and that was a gentleman named Adam poolside.
On top of that, The beds in the room were rock hard and the pillows stiff. I woke up with neck and body pains.
Beautiful hotel but very very disappointed!
Will not be spending my money here again until I hear good changes.

After months of delays the new Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort is open!
When you first walk into the lobby you can see the delay is worth the wait. This resort blends a great mix of island fun with upscale atmosphere that’s warm and inviting.
Just a walking tour of the lobby and resort is worth it. There are also several gift shops and restaurants on property for you to enjoy — and just steps from the white sandy beaches of the clear blue Atlantic waters.

Parking is the first problem 30.00 ???
Creazy!!! Yes!
The hotel is beautiful, bar prices? Maybe they no do the home work good, because you gate drinks half price outside the hotel

OK, so Margaritaville has made its grand entrance onto Hollywood Beach. Those complaining about the over-​development of Hollywood Beach, and Margaritaville’s somewhat «stale» appearance, in my opinion, are being a bit brash. Not everyone was thrilled to see the hotel/​restaurant Margaritaville come to Hollywood, for whatever personal reasons, but my visit to the venue lead me to understand that those not so happy with it felt compelled to write bad reviews, and those happy with it are actually there enjoying themselves instead of writing bad reviews.
I happen to be a fan of redevelopment on Hollywood Beach, mainly because many of the hotels appear old and worn, and can leave both visitors and locals alike appalled. After visiting Margaritaville for the first time, I didn’t get such a bad vibe or impression of the venue (other than the fact that the service seemed quite disorganized, which is a common phenomena for grand openings as they adjust… let’s be patient). The restaurant has enjoyable live entertainment and great food and drinks, the inside of the hotel is quite lovely and modern, and it’s of course right on the beach. The restaurants close around 11pm (Landshark and the Tiki Bar) to accommodate the noise levels as courtesy to the nearby residents, and the staff are very kind and helpful in helping navigate around the hotel premises. I personally look forward to visiting again.

TERRIFIC STAFF
Ignoring the fact that this particular Margaritaville is an architectural MONSTROSITY, the moment we stepped foot from the parking garage, we felt soo welcomed — everyone was so happy and so well trained.
Pros — besides the terrific staff, you cannot beat a $ 10.99 sandwich while sitting on the beach boardwalk. I had the mahi mahi sandwich and my father had the chicken sandwich — both juicy and fresh tasting, large sides as well. No complaints… Nice bang for the buck. No drink orders from us.
Cons — it really pissed us off to get whacked $ 12 for what we consider to be short-​term parking. Valet was $ 17 so we self parked inside the garage. Come on Brazilian ownership, we know you paid a lot of money to develop the damn place but why whack the customers for Miami Beach priced parking. This is rundown Hollywood for goodness sake.
Also, the upstairs Landshark Bar and restaurant has single RESTROOM stalls. Who in the world designed this place? Ever have to pee like a race horse after chugging down a few beers? Only to find out that the door is locked because it has one freaking toilet.
Even more shocking? the fact that the not-​so –talented architect or developer designed the upstairs bar against a wall with NO view of the beautiful ocean and boardwalk, NO mirrors. Are you kidding me? HELLO? Circular bar design next time?
Anyway… As Hollywood Beach has nothing else to offer, then this is it folks.

My boyfriend surprised me with a weekend getaway at this new resort. Here are some of the pros and cons.
Cons:
made reservations through Expedia but when we got there at 1:30 the front desk said our reservations were for ¹¹⁄₄ not ¹⁰⁄₄. Thankfully they were able to fix that. I should say that this wasn’t Expedias fault because all of the confirmation emails from Expedia had the correct date. So maybe miscommunication somewhere in hotel.
We got there at 1:30pm we knew room wouldn’t be ready so left out bags at front desk and went to have lunch. But by 4pm our room still wasn’t ready. 15 minutes later I complained and it magically became ready. Front office staff was courteous though.
Room wasn’t cleaned well. Sand still in shower.
Pool wasn’t heated and closes at 8.
I know they just opened but no one really knows the answer to anything. I called front desk and they said pool closed at 11 but waitress at pool restaurant said 5pm and other waitress said bar closes at 8 but that the pool stays open which wasn’t true.
Margaritaville restaurant took 41 minutes to bring our food. We complained to manager and he was amazing and ver apologetic. His name was Michael Baker and he made up for the crappy dining experience.
Mac and cheese had no flavor.
So here are the PROS:
Nice and new. Very modern decorations in lobby and rooms.
Staff was very nice, they just need to all be on the same page when it comes to General hotel information
Restaurant by pool had yummy burgers. the wait wasn’t long, they text you when table is ready.
Close to the beach

More private adult pool on the 11^th floor
Music by the pool is awesome
Overall we had a great time. The resort is new and there are still kinks to work out.

Excellent service very attentive… gluten free options. Pricey but worth it.

This year has flown by. It was like yesterday that I wrote my review for Hollywood Broadwalk, actually it was January 28, 2015. Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort was still under construction and I was imagining how this large new resort was going to change the face of Hollywood Beach. Well, now that its done, now that I’ve gone twice, I think I can talk freely about what I thought and what I think now that I’ve been there. The biggest fear of «Hollywoodians» has been that Margaritaville would take away the old Hollywood Beach feeling that has been Hollywood’s history going back to 1926 when founder Joseph Young transformed the coastline of Hollywood Beach. Now that I have seen what Margaritaville is all about from a «beachgoer» point of view, I am excited. First of all, the resort is really set back from the Broadwalk without interfering with the general walking, biking, and activities that Hollywood Broadwalk always offers. In fact, the parcel of bricks on the north side of the resort has opened up like a nice courtyard to the stores that have always been there.
Margaritaville has offered a new, exciting, Key West style of entertainment to Hollywood Beach. Anyone who wants to spend the day at the beach and all of the publc all have access to the Margaritaville Restaurant and the Landshark Bar and Grill that overlooks the beautiful main pool area with a waterslide and waterfall as well as the Broadwalk and Beach, not to mention the famous Flowrider that guests surf on, visible from the Broadwalk and from the Landshark Grill looking down on it. The bandshell was beautifully redone and painted as you can see to enhance that Hollywood Beachy feeling as well. You do not need to actually be a guest of the resort to enjoy these two colorful areas of the resort.
Walking up the walkway to the resort from the beach gives you the feeling that you are entering a tropical island, pools, waterfalls, colorful painted chairs, with Key West colors. It is a calming feeling like you are going on a vacation for the day. Walk straight into the resort, it is bright with a large coffee shop, which serves gelato, baked goods and its own coffee. Next to the coffee shop is a huge store that sells a large selection of what else? Margaritaville tee shirts and colorful beachwear. Keep walking and take a breath when you see the front lobby. It is clean, bright and has the most beautiful chandelier made out of what else: Margarita Glasses hanging upside down. In the middle of the lobby is a large blue replica of a beach sandal. Decoratively speaking the décor is bright, clean and creative.
The Margaritaville Restaurant: As you walk in, it is LARGE, colorful and definitely «Key West» It has two replicas of fishing boats in the middle of the restaurant, outdoor seating right on another pool area with cabanas for guests that stay there. The bar seems to be the place to sit yourself down in front of TVs on all sides with music videos that lighten the mood up, yes, Jimmy Buffett is a highlight as well. The menus have a huge variety of small pates from chicken wings, Quesadillas, Fish Tacos, Coconut Shrimp, soups and salads to Jambalaya, Seafood Mac and cheese, steaks and great burgers. We ordered the Chicken Wings, delicious and great wing sauce. My son had the Chicken Tender Strips Salad and my friend ordered the Black and Blue Burger. I must say I ordered a Salad Wedge with Grilled Shrimp, trying to keep to somewhat healthy and it was fantastic. Not only is their food menu extensive, but the drink menu is incredible. The Margaritas and Boat Drinks, their own creations I can’t wait to try. In the mean time, we ordered a bottle of Riesling, who our friendly and smiley server Mellissa served us. She was so sweet. They also have a great variety of Craft Beers including the popular «Not Your Father’s Root Beer». It was just fun to eat and drink there. They also serve a buffet breakfast Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 11:00 am.
The Landshark Bar and Grill: Located over the main pool, it is a fabulous outdoor bar, and tables set all the way back overlooking the Broadwalk, Beach and the Flowrider. You are definitely dining, partying on Hollywood Beach in a Key West atmosphere. What a combination!!! All the tables have the Landshark umbrellas and all you do is relax, feel the ocean breeze and enjoy a great afternoon with your friends. On Saturdays and Sundays they have a great DJ and the famous Y100 MC Chris Cruz to liven up the place. Man, did he ever. Never had such a great Sunday afternoon on the beach.
Regarding the staff at the resort, they are probably the most friendly helpful, happy group of people I have come in contact with. Definitely were well trained before the resort was opened.
I can’t wait to spend a weekend here so I can use all the facilities and pools, especially the adult pool on the 11^th floor.
My mind is made up: Margaritaville is the GREATEST addition to Hollywood Beach.

Pool looks inviting! The shrimp cocktail was fresh delicious on a bed on a bed of lettuce. (Better than on ice) our bartender George what a guy! Friendly on top to things and taking care of everyone in time.
. Winter birth paradise /​east cost so in need of a little paradise and affordable place.

We came to visit this brand new hotel, is amazing, beatifull, modern, lots of people, lots of restaurants… huge place.
Has a big pool, a surf pool which is amazing and the location Superb.
Next we will come to eat at the hotel.

This is just a I general review of my impressions of Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort without specific details of their various restaurants, stores and food offerings as I believe that each should be the subject of individual reviews.
First off, the structure housing the Margaritaville when viewed from the street is in one word, ugly. The architecture from the front is flat, drab, boxy and anything but eye catching or aesthetically appealing. Worse, it simply looks out of place. However, when viewed from the Broadwalk its appearance is much better.
The interior, the pool areas, its various restaurants, shops, and all of its 349 rooms are nicely appointed with a casual laid back «5 o’clock somewhere» state of mind décor. Everything I saw was really nice, well done, but not really all that impressive to me. I’ve been to other Margaritaville locations with which I’ve had better impressions, enjoyed them with better bars, better more friendly and fun bartenders & etc.
However, in all fairness at the time of this writing Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort is not fully completed and only open to the public as being a «soft opening,» so when I return after its completion, my impressions and thoughts about it may entirely change. But as everyone one knows, the City of Hollywood and its revitalization developers have a consistent history of falling into financial quagmires, botched attempts at redevelopment and general failures. Indeed, on the beach not far from the Margaritaville location stands what bankrupt dilapidated remains of their once highly touted Oceanwalk as a stark reminder.
Though Margaritaville has a name recognition Oceanwalk lacked, at this time it doesn’t appear to me to offer anything that would lead it to becoming the actual keystone of a Hollywood Beach revitalization. And what stands out as worse is that for those seeking that casual «Salty Little Piece of Land» state of mind, Le Tub, practically located right across the street but actually on the water, is much more fun, much more realistic and authentic in every way. In fact a comparison between the two might indicate that lavishly through money at a development while reaching out for that «upscale» crowd also brings with it a detracting degree of phoniness; maybe not the best way to go. I know at least for me, when going out to enjoy a 5 o’clock somewhere type of atmosphere I’d go for the unpretentious unembellished naturalness of a place like Le Tub over a tinseled money embellished make believe like Margaritaville any day.
Though for what it is, I’ve seen better and though it isn’t exactly A-​OK, it’s OK enough to go, at least at this time, Three Stars. I only hope I’ll have a better impression or experience upon its full completion and when it becomes totally operationally open.
