Half Price Locksmith in Hollywood is a small family owned business. We started the company in New York in 1996 and relocated to Florida in 2010. We are licensed and insured and a member of American Locksmith Association (ALOA).

We are a small business and we do not outsource our locksmith work. We send over our own employees so you know who to expect when you open your door.

We charge affordable prices and always quote a full price in advance over the phone so there are no surprises. We do not participate in the bait & switch games our competitors play. We charge $ 49 to come over and open your car or door if you’re locked out (8am-6pm).

Very fast and friendly service. They saved the day after locking my keys in the car. They were honest and did not try to raise the price after they gave me the initial quote. Credentials were displayed around their neck and company vehicle makes you feel like you’re dealing with professionals. Thankful for this company in las vegas when there’s companies out here who will scam you… I went through a horrible company yesterday, called ²⁴⁄₇ locksmith, who quoted me $ 60 and when they got to me, raised it to $ 120. When I wouldn’t pay, they said I had to pay a service fee of $ 20 just because they came out. They left me waiting for almost 2 hours and then when they got to me, they did that. I had to leave my car and come back the following day but thankfully Halfprice Locksmith was well worth it!

My husband thought I had the keys and I thought he had the keys and before you know it, the door slammed behind me. I looked up a locksmith near by and called these guys. They showed up within 20 mins and our front door was open with 5 minutes. Very satisfied with the service and with the price.

DO NOT CALL!!! THEY WILL LIE!!!
THIS COMPANY DESERVES ZERO STARS. DO NOT PUT YOURSELF IN A POSITION TO GET SCAMMED.
PLEASE call a legitimate locksmith, especially a company who will not quote you a price of $ 65, only to arrive at your house when you’re locked out and quote you a price of $ 140.
There are decent businesses which will charge you the quote that they cite.
This was a BAIT AND SWITCH to people who were in a vulnerable position (locked
Out with a crying baby who desperately needed to be fed).
They threatened to drive away.
The company SPECIFICALLY asked that we DO NOT CALL COMPETITORS once they quoted us one price.
We happily agreed.
They then BEGGED us to call competitors after the bait and switch.
Once again, there are plenty of honest businesses out there— this is not one of them.

The company claims in their response that they had no choice but to charge us more than the quoted amount and that the up charge was a fair price once they saw our ONE front door lock. Moreover,
The response also cites our location and time of day as a reason for the price.
This would be FINE (especially since
We would have paid anything at that point).
However:
1– We were never told that there was so much as a possibility that we may be charged a higher price.
2– When the owner quoted
$ 65 she was aware of the time of day and our location (20 minutes), and
3– we were not given the actual price until AFTER we waited with a very hungry, tired screaming baby AND the owner specifically confirmed that we had not called anyone else
****We would have paid ANY price (we don’t know what a locksmith charges and we were desperate).
However this company never gave us a true estimate and there was a very dishonest bait
And switch.

They made the correction to the original which they told me was a quality lock and it just needed service. That earned my business from now on… Quick, Fair, and Honest.

I meant to write this some time ago but forgot.
My son, a recently graduated high school senior, locked himself out of my car earlier in the year (while I was on the West Coast of the US).
I calmed him on one phone, then called Half Price Locksmith on the other phone. They were there within 45 minutes. I paid for the service by phone with my credit card.
The tech helped calm and reassure my son and because the price was so reasonable, even I was not that upset.
For that, and the great level of service they have given clients of mine, this company has my business for life.
