History
Established in 1987.
Since opening this martial arts dojo in 1987, Jim Cormier’s goal has been to offer martial arts programs that fit the needs of children, teens and adults of all ages in a safe, fun, and rewarding learning environment.
Personally teaching every karate and jujitsu class, Jim has trained hundreds of adults and children in his jujitsu and karate programs and has promoted numerous black belts.

As the Master Instructor, Shihan Jim Cormier holds a 7th degree black belt in Okinawan Goju ryu Karate, a 4th degree black belt in Yoshitsune Jujitsua, a 3rd degree black belt in Hakkoryu Jujitsu, and a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Hakko Denshin Ryu Jujutsu.
Over the years, Jim has given many self defense seminars and demonstrations to schools and universities, sports teams, businesses, adult education classes, and nonprofit organizations such as the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and women’s groups.
Jim has been a guest instructor and an assistant guest instructor at other martial arts schools throughout New England. In addition, he has been welcomed by police departments for advanced self defense training and weapons tactics.
