Tens of thousands of leather jacketed bikers will party on San Benito Street in Hollister on theJuly4th weekend to commemorate the July 4th 1947 «riot» that was featured in LIFE magazine.
Far from a «riot» these grey bearded Harley riders are enjoying the camaraderie of like minded Greybeards under the watchful eyes of police hired especially for the event. Unneeded because in the entire history of the Hollister celebration there was only one incident and that well documented event was 67 years ago onJuly 4th 1947.
