Sharma Nazhat Opthalmologist

Dr. Sharma seems to be a good doctor, but her office staff really shows no knowledge of how to run a office. We got sent to collections for not paying 26. dollars. Question why wouldn’t we have paid that stupid amount. My husband kept going in for visits and paid his copay but was never told we had a balance and never received a bill in the mail. But we did receive the letter from collection agency. Collection agency was great and understanding. Proceeded to make appointment with office for my husband was cancelled a day before and said we cant see you, you been sent to collections but never received a get rid of letter from doctor. Unprofessional, bad office staff. Dr Sharma you need to fix your office staff.

This place doesn’t ever deserve a star.
I had to cancel an eye exam 1 hour before my appt.
beware they do charge a $ 25 cancelation fee.
The receptionist never disclosed the fee.
They did proceed to tell me «I should have canceled my appt yesterday». I let the receptionist know they called with the reminder for the appointment at 5:06 pm, and of course their offices are closed at that time.
The receptionist told me I was lying about what time they called and told me they made the call at 4;30 pm.. That’s really profound when my call log shows the time the office called.
It’s just far beyound amazing for a doctors office to call you a liar and expect for you to come back.
This office is lacking professionalism and knowlegable staff.
Please be careful when considering this Dr.‘s office for your eyes. All the other reviews basically call them scammers.

This lady is a fraud. Whoever gave her a 5 star review must work for her or be related. She tells all jer patients that they have high pressure in their eyes and tries to put them on eye drops so they keep coming back to see if the pressure is going down. I switched to an optometrist in san jose and he knew about Dr Sharma. He advised me to stay away from her for the same reason. Ask other Dr’s about her they all know.

I love this woman/​Dr. I went in with what I thought was a stye but it turned out to be something else. The doctor was patient, kind and professional. She explained everything clearly and I left feeling good! She is a gem!!!

I actually haven’t seen Dr. Nazhat – she’s probably wonderful – but for patients with Medi-​Cal (which will pay for the exam, although not glasses), I wanted to mention that this doctor does require a referral from one of the Hazel Hawkins hospital clinics (per her receptionist). (I don’t use these clinics – so was a bit disappointed, as Hollister only has two choices for getting a new eyeglasses prescription.)
