Description

Specialties

Wild Salamander Creative Arts Center is a family owned and operated business. It is a local community based gathering place for creative arts education. Our goal is to encourage rich creative experiences through training, exploration, and participation. We provide space, opportunity, and inspiration for everyone in a variety of contemporary and traditional art forms. We hope to create a comfortable environment where community members can learn and develop skills and abilities in their creative endeavors with the support of local artists.

History

Established in 2012.

Opened in May of 2012 Wlld Salamander transformed the 1891 farm house located in the center of Hollis, NH. The building itself inspired Charlie and KC Morgan to open the community art center. Local photographer, Art Whitty and his wife Lucy relocated in 2002 leaving the house to become a series of businesses. The name inspired by a walk in the woods near the center’s home. The symbolism of the salamander includes fire, creativity and creation. Wild defines itself.
