Tuffy Tire & Auto Service Center

Took van in to get checked out. Check engine light was in. 2 days turned into 4 and $ 280 turned into $ 400. They didn’t know how to fix it and actually had to call a Chevy dealer for advice. They seemed completely disorganized.
Now 2 days later van is running poorly again. Can smell exhaust in the van. That’s new since we brought it on. Would not go back.

We were driving back to Chicago late on a Friday afternoon when the «check engine» light came on. Stopped at the near by Auto Zone for quick diagnosis then right over to see JOHN (read Matt’s review first).
They took us right in and found the issue, gave a quote of $ 200 and went right to work. Not only did they fix the broken thing, John gave us a $ 25 discount for being a traveling family — and all in job was $ 186.
In and out under an hour!!!
Also had a clean bathroom and a tv that he gave the remote to the kids so they could watch something besides the news.

I had brought my car into Tuffy a few times for an oil change, they seemed to do an ok job. My last visit was, well, the last time I would ever go there. One week after the oil change I notice oil spots on my driveway. I open my hood to find… oil covering my engine, all over, soaked. THEY HAD LEFT THE OIL CAP OFF! Now I guess maybe a little of this is on me… maybe I should have checked their work? I don’t know, I guess when I pay someone to change my oil, I expect them to do a good job, they are the professionals, right?
So I brought my car back to them hoping they would make it right… they said «Oh, the cap must have vibrated off» Sorry, a rubber/​plastic oil cap does not vibrate off anything metal. They topped off my oil (one quart low) and wiped down my engine. Thanks. Needless to say, there was still a thin film of oil all over my engine bay, ready to collect all kinds of dust and dirt, which it did. Never again!

I had a short window of time to have a serpentine belt (that was seriously on it’s way out).replaced.and a oil change. and they got me right in. They were more than fair with the price, and very customer friendly!
Definitely Recommend!

Okay, who gives Tuffy a 5 star rating… right? I mean, they are one of those «do-​everything» type auto-​repair places that seem generic. Well, in the case of this Tuffy in Holland… they deserve the rating! Here is what earned them such a great review:
In town for Memorial Day. Car breaks down at 4 PM on Friday before Memorial Day weekend. NO ONE in town is open. It would have been a bad scene if it wasnt for Tuffy. Not only were they open on Saturday, but were honest, affordable and just plain nice. The manager was great & helpful. I think they even stayed late to finish my car. Thanks for saving the day Tuffy!
