Not sure what the hype is around Three Happiness. Even by run-of-the-mill neighborhood Chinese chop suey standards, I have experienced much better. Shrimp lo mein was greasy and shrimp was mushy. Pepper beef and kung pao chicken were equally lackluster. On the bright side, lunch and dinner combos are really cheap. But that, unfortunately, was the only highlight.

Love this place for quick Chinese! Tried many different things and they’ve all been great. Always call ahead and pick up and go home to eat. Never had a bad experience here! Must try!

Love this place. Everyone is always so nice and friendly. Your food is always ready fast and I have never had an issue with my order being wrong. And yes I’m the person that always has a special request when ordering!

Ordered this tonight for dinner. Was surprised at how fast the delivery was(within 15 minutes). Had pork low mien,(had better) but was pretty good, crab ran goons were more sweet than what I’m used to. Overall, I’d order this again just because the prices are very cheap for the quality you receive. The egg drop soup was awful though.

This place was just okay in my opinion. I usually order shrimp fried rice when I eat Chinese and always hope they serve good sized shrimp with it. Three happiness uses the little tiny shimp in theirs so that was quite disappointing. The crab rangoon was also a bit off to me as well.

I get the general tso lunch special a lot and it’s pretty good. The cost is one of the lowest lunch combos you will find. Polite staff. Take out mostly, they have two tables inside. Update: New favorite is the Mongolian chicken. This is awesome! Grilled chicken with onions and other goodies. YUM! Still the best lunch bargain

Finally! I believe I have found a good Chinese Restaurant in the Toledo area. I ordered sesame chicken, I find it to be a good gage of a restaurants quality. The chicken was of excellent quality, I’m unsure if they make it themselves or if it’s frozen but compared to other Chinese Food Restaurants in the area the quality was far superior. The meal was nicely cooked, the chicken was cooked perfectly with the accompaniment of a sweet sesame chicken sauce. The chicken also was served with broccoli and white rice all for a total of $ 7.95, a bargain. I also found out that they deliver within a 3 mile radius with a $ 2 delivery fee, convenient. I’m excited to try other dishes on the menu and will update my reviews in the future.

Ordered this for delivery while staying in Toledo. Delivery was fast. Food was overly sweet. I order General Tso’s Chicken and my wife had Sesame Shrimp. Both dishes tasted like candy. They could definately hold off on some of the sweet. However, they cooked the chicken and shrimp perfectly. It was very crispy even after it had been delivered to our hotel room. If I stayed at the same hotel I may order it again if I was hungry for Chinese food.

This is pretty close to mall chinese style food. It is ok, but nothing great. We tried numerous items, Almond Boneless, Lo-mein, fried rice, egg rolls and soup. All of it was slightly above average for mall food, but this was not from a mall. The Lo-mein noodles were a little more thick than spaghetti noodles… which really Lo-mein noodles are very thin. Fried Rice was ok at best, ABC was ok… again for mall food. Egg roll was quite bland. Might has this again just to see if it changes, otherwise I’ll stick to my usual chinese places.

I ordered from Three Happiness sight unseen — I am new to town, was craving delivery Chinese food, and found them through Unilocal’s proximity search. I ordered my standard; chicken lo mein, hot and sour soup, and crab rangoon. I’m about 2.5 miles away from the restaurant, and the food was delivered in about 12 minutes. I was amazed. The rangoon were different than I’m accustomed to — not bad, necessarily, just chunkier crab and less sweetness in the filling. The lo mein noodles were excellent. I would have liked more veggies, but the water chestnuts, bamboo and mushrooms did the job just fine. The hot and sour soup was just the right balance of spice and salt. No chopsticks or napkins or utensils were delivered, which normally isn’t a big deal to me, but some may depend on that stuff to be delivered. You can always just ask when ordering, though. Overall, I was impressed with the meal. and SUPER impressed with the quick delivery. I will keep this in my rotation for sure.

Three Happiness is a great place to get high quality Chinese cuisine at very affordable prices. Check out the lunch menu for a full meal at under $ 5!

How have I gone this long without ever eating at 3 Happiness? I just had my first experience at lunch today, and I am blown away. The food was easily as good as any real, sit-down Chinese restaurant I have ever been to in Toledo. I ordered an almond boneless chicken lunch combo with fried rice and an egg roll, all for only $ 4.50! I am a big eater, and I cannot remember the last time I got stuffed for $ 4.50, let alone had such amazing food for that much. I’ve spend 3 or 4 times that much and didn’t have as good of a lunch as I did here. Although there are two tables inside 3 Happiness, it is primarily a take-out/delivery place. I ordered when I got there(although I’ll call ahead next time), and I got the pleasure of watching them make my lunch fresh. This isn’t like some of the fast-food joints where you get your food in 2 minutes because it is premade; it took 10 minutes, and I’m quite glad. After ordering I saw them deep fry a beautiful piece of tempura chicken breast, slice it, and lay it in a bed of lettuce next to my fried rice. They put the sauce in a separate box so you can add it yourself at the last moment and your food won’t be soggy. Everything tasted amazing. My huge mistake was that I couldn’t believe that I could get full for $ 4.50, so I ordered the hot-and-sour soup too(for a mere $ 1.25). It turns out it was a happy mistake, because the soup was just fantastic. I generally hate hot-and-sour soup the way most places make it, but 3 Happiness gets it right. The flavor was wonderful with bits of carrot, egg, mushroom, shrimp, water chestnuts, and plenty of black pepper. Furthermore, the portion was extremely generous(way more than I expected for the money), and you get those crispy fried noodle thingies with it. I can’t wait to try out the egg drop soup next time(for only a buck!). I was unreasonably stuffed after finishing the soup, but I couldn’t stop myself. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I spent $ 5.75 for more food than I should ever eat at one sitting, and every bit of it was amazing. Now I can’t imagine going anywhere else for lunch when I’m hankering for Chinese.

This place is fast and tasty for fast-food Chinese. The people are friendly and the food is inexpensive. I know they deliver but I’ve never used that service before.

For fast Chinese food, they go above and beyond. I work down the street and they always get the food to me within fifteen minutes. I think this is as good as any sit down Chinese restaurant. The people are a great too, whether its the always smiling delivery man, or the lady behind the wok. I didn’t pre-order and walked in one day and saw her cook 5 dishes in 5 minutes. Its well worth the money, especially the lunch combos available weekdays before 3. For less than $ 5, you could get over 20 combos that includes rice fried or steamed, and an eggroll.
