Gammy’s Artisan Pie

Meat pie? I think not! I bought the meat pasty for dinner this evening, hoping to enjoy a good ‘ol meat pie. I baked the pie according to the ziploc bag instruction and both my husband and myself waited in anticipation for out meat or should I say potato pie! We broke open the steaming hot pie only to find dry cubes of pale potato, did I mention that I thought I bought a meat pie. Well as we dug deeper to find this illusive meat, we found some hiding beneath the mounds of flavorless white mass of onions and potato’s only to note that it to was lifeless in flavor, in fact I wonder if it really was beef. Note, to the pie maker, that claims to make this not so delicious pie, perhaps you should use some seasoning with your potato pie and that a classic meat pie actually has some meat and gravy in it. Your German pastry also lacks character from its traditional roots which adds its own depth to the dish. If you have taste buds of a chalkboard, you will enjoy this pie however I think I can spend my $ 6 on a artisanal pie elsewhere!
