History
Established in 2003.
Excel-R-ation Physical Therapy & Sports Training was founded in 2003 by five physical therapists who wanted to provide their patients with unsurpassed physical therapy services. This team of five had known each other for many years, and finally decided to put their heads together to create West Michigan’s leading physical therapy clinic.

Bill W.
Business Owner
BILL WINTER, PT: Physical Therapist (Founder)
A practicing therapist, Bill is one of the founders of Excel-R-ation. He is a Grand Valley State University graduate, with bachelor’s degrees in Biomedical Science (1984) and Physical Therapy (1986). During his career, Bill’s clinical experience has been concentrated in acute inpatient and outpatient orthopedics, sports medicine, and home health. He has also cultivated the clinic’s growth with his administrative leadership experience in hospital and health system rehabilitation services. Bill’s patient treatment focuses on the rehabilitation of surgical and non-surgical shoulder and knee injuries. He also has a special interest in the evaluation and treatment of acute athletic injuries. In his off hours, Bill enjoys coaching football, fishing, deer hunting, wood working and being with his family. He is active in local high school athletic boosters and with his church.
