Mmmm Taco’s. The pork belly tacos are well made, delicious with a great smoky flavor. The vegetarian pear tacos are light and refreshing. The chili beef taco’s with cactus are my favorite so far They also serve a few different mole’s and salads. They serve a taco of the day and a guacamole of the day. Each type of taco comes in orders or 2 or 4. I wish they would do 3, because 2 is just not enough but 4 is a little too much. Pricey but delicious

The tacos and drink were both delicious. We also got a number of appetizers to share as a group-they were great. My favorite had to be the G.O.D. Guacamole which contained strawberries. I am docking off one star because I think the price is too high for the amount of food I received. If you get tacos as a meal you will definitely want at least 4 since they are small.

i’ve been here a few times and i feel like it’s been going downhill for awhile in terms of food and service. on my most recent visit, i was craving tacos and super hungry, so very excited for our meal. our server was meh the entire time and seemed like she was just rushing the whole time to get us out of there. might i mention that there were only three other tables filled? no reason to rush us. we got four of the mushroom tacos and four of the FOD tacos to share. the mushroom tacos, which is usually my favorite, was very greasy and it tasted very strongly of bleu cheese. like i couldn’t taste the mushrooms or leeks at all. so it basically tasted like i was eating greasy bleu cheese. the FOD tacos were a bit better, but the fish itself was very bland and dry. a very disappointing dining experience and the lackluster attitude of our server made it worse. i’ll be on the search for a new place to get my taco fix.

Lunch was delicious, fun and fresh. The chips and salsas were a great combination of flavorful and spicy where the spicy didn’t down out the flavor. The mole had depth with levels of taste occurring in different parts of my mouth — cinnamon up front, slight chocolate and chili toward the back. I can’t adequately described the pleasure I derived from such a wonderful lunch.

Finally got around to canvassing this one. In a way it sort of confirms some universal truths; the awesome things stay awesome and specifically the duck confit is awesome at any of those locations… as to the rest… despite me liking the area this is in the best of these locations, the food was probably the worst of the 3 with everything but the duck confit being a notable step off. Ironically, the location in the area I like the least, which is downtown, serves easily the best food of these 3. The area of the one by Foothill is just ok, but out of all the locations, that is the one I like to spend time in the most, as it is a pretty cool chill hangout spot. Anyway, that aside, we had a fairly new server, who was demonstrating her lack of experience repeatedly. She was friendly and tried hard, so I didn’t hold any of that other stuff against her and I fully believe she will be one of the greats someday, but when someone gets underwater like that, I always look to the floor manager, who is supposed to make sure things like that aren’t happening. In this case, it was reasonable to expect her to fall down a bit, but not so for the floor manager. Interior is all the kind of wood«faux» charm of this area, which is generally pretty to look at but is as real inside as your nearest Hollywood frame movie set. It sort of reminds me of the scene in Blazing Saddles where the fronts of the buildings all fall over. Obviously, this is not an indictment of this place so much as the fake and hollow front of the buildings in this area. Definitely glorious to look at from the outside but possessing all the depth of a sheet of paper… parking may be nightmarish here, but at least the food coming out was nearly unbearably slow once inside… Crestfallen? Is that right word? Maybe not quite to that extreme, but it was definitely disappointing. Maybe if I went here first, but instead, I experienced all the glory T27 is capable of, so coming here with so much substandard(one taco I bailed on halfway through instead of finishing, which doesn’t happen ever, even with Taco Bell(not that I eat there more often than very rarely), so it takes some doing for me to do that)…I’ll get over it. It’s going to take some time, though, no doubt and obviously, I’m never coming to this particular location again. There is too much high quality other stuff in this general area to squander on a place like this…

I love the tacos here. Though I feel like its pretty overpriced. I love fish tacos and they are good here. Lots of different tacos flavors and offerings. I would recommend this place for sure.

AMAZING! Everyone in our group LOVED the food! The special tacos were already sold out, so I can only imagine how delicious they were. What we did enjoy: Traditional Guacamole(Large served 3 people perfectly!), Brent Tacos and Pork Belly Tacos. The margaritas are excellent and they had an excellent beer menu that I will partake next time. I encourage EVERYONE that likes a wonderful meal at a decent price to check this place out!!!

I love the rustic wooden décor of this place. It makes it feel like a real taqueria. The queso is delicious; warm, gooey, cheesy. How could you go wrong? The guac is also good. I really enjoyed the roasted guac. It just made the flavors more interesting than normal guac. I have had three different types of tacos. The pork carnitas, duck confit and the turkey chorizo. I think my favorite out of the three is the pork carnitas but all three have been delicious. I find that if I get guac only two tacos are sufficient to fill me up but it is fun to get a bunch and split with friends so you can try everything. Everything is cooked really well here I think their problem is that they just try to put too much in their tacos so it overpowers the meat that is the base. Other than that their interesting combinations make for really delicious tacos!

Reasons why I love this place: 1. You get a mountain view while eating 2. Strawberry guac 3. The tacos are really good and a decent size 4. Your waitress will play along with credit card roulette 5. She didn’t pick my credit card But for real, the guacamole is so good! I wouldn’t think of strawberries in guac but damn, that was phenomenal

Update time and they have dropped half a star. Service is really hit or miss. You will get a server who will come by every 2 minutes to see if you are ready or what we got last night, MIA. Whats funny is our server had a shadow so in essence we had 2 servers. Appetizers came out but then our food took 30 minutes to come out. The fish of the day was salmon and it was way dry and overcooked. I should have sent it back but our food already had taken so long and when you have a 17 month old who is getting fussy, it wasn’t worth it. We had to ask other servers for refills, salsa, plates, it was ridiculous. With 2 servers how can service be so inefficient? The patio is beautiful. Parking sucks and the entrance is still confusing. Just look for the hostess stand especially if you are coming from the west side. Not sure if I will be back.

Ummmmmm… gluten free desserts such as CHURROS made with GF flour and fried to perfection with a side of cinnamon whipped cream? Eek! T27 did it again…

Wonderful gourmet tacos. Pork Belly Taco — great flavor, generous amount of pork belly, perfect accompaniments. Inhaled two in no time. Fish of the Day Taco — Perfectly cooked escolar. great accompaniments. Yum. Also inhaled two. My take-out order was waiting for me at the front and the transaction was smooth and quick. This area in Holliday has become quite the little foodie destination with many new hot spots clustered around a couple of blocks.

This was my first visit here. It didn’t take us long to get seated on a Saturday night. It was a spacious location. I didn’t feel like I was on top of other people. My boyfriend and I ordered: DRINKS: 1) The«Rosa» 1800 Silver tequila, a blend of citrus juices and pomegranate liqueur over ice GUACAMOLE:(Ripe avocados smashed to order and served with fresh corn chips) 2) Traditional –Jalapeño, tomato, red onion, cilantro and lime(Size Small) TACOS:(All tacos come on T27 corn tortillas unless specified — tacos come two or four to an orde) 3) P.B.L.T.A. — Pork belly, lettuce, tomato and avocado with jalapeño mayo in fl our tortillas(four for $ 13) 4) Duck Confit — Succulent duck with fire roasted veggies, chipotle crema and crispy leeks (four for $ 13) I REALLY liked the guacamole. I thought the small size was perfect. My favorite taco was the Pork Belly. The Duck was also good, just not as good as the pork belly. I can’t wait to come back here. I think everything was reasonably priced. Our waitress was attentive. She brought my boyfriend a soda without asking. She also offered us spicy sauces which I enjoyed the«Green» hot sauce. It was mild and really good. I can’t wait to come back here.

Love this place! I am never disappointed when I come here. What we always start off with is their chips and salsa(I’m allergic to avocado so we never order their guacamole, but it looks delicious). My favorite salsa is their Chipotle and their chips are always nice and crispy(not too thick and not too thin). We then always order their taco of the day(it changes daily) and usually their fish of the day. Other great tacos are the pork belly and their angus steak taco. You will never go wrong with either of those. They have a large selection of Tequila so if that’s your drink, then this is the place to try all different kinds. They also have a decent beer menu as well(I believe they have Wasatch brew a specific beer just for them). All in all this place rocks! The prices are cheap and their food is soooo good!

After hearing several people rave about this place we finally decided to give it a try. We went with some friends who swear that this is their favorite taco place in the whole of Utah. the assured us that no mattered what we ordered, we would not be disappointing. It all seemed very promising. Blue went with the Pork Carnitas tacos and the daily special which was a pork cheek selection taco. I went the Mole’ .cuz really… there isn’t anything better than a good Mole’. The results? The pork cheek was probably the winner of our three selections, although I don’t know that I would order it again. Perhaps we just caught them on an off night, but there were several little bumps that ultimately led to a less satisfying experience. Small things like, the rice was a little undercooked and the corn tortillas served with my Mole’ had a stale taste to them. There were some ingredients that tasted fresh and awesome, and some that tasted like they had been sitting out all day. The Mole’ itself was sadly unimpressive. I don’t consider myself any kind of expert on the matter of Mole’, but to me, it tasted a lot like the Red Enchilada sauce that you get at any Mexican restaurant. I chose chicken for my meat and I was a little disappointed to see a pile of dry chicken breast plopped atop a pool of sauce. I hesitate to be honest because I know so many people think that this place is the tops, but for what you are paying, there are certainly better options, but usually they are found on authentic taco street carts or on the west side of the salt lake valley. As far as an East Side Eatery, it might be one of your only taco options. I would for sure be willing to give it another try sometime.

Love this place so much, love the other location as well. Food always tastes so awesome. I think the pork belly taco is my favorite, having had every single item on the menu except for all of the daily specials. My only complaint is that the service always blows, whether they are busy or slow we seem to have to guide them on what is needed. Waters go unfilled, we have to remind them we need the check so we can get back to work. You know typical things that should be the norm. We will keep frequenting this location as it is closer to us even though the one on Foothill seem to have it together.

This place was cool! I liked the environment and the food was good! I was equally satisfied with the service. Our waiter was sharp, knew the menu(as his reccomendations were great), our drinks were full, and he was friendly. We started our lunch with nachos and beef, followed by a Cobb Salad with fish, kids chicken tacos for my daughter, and I had the steak & eggs. My wife said her salad was great, my daughter seemed to like the chicken tacos and tortilla chips(she ate them both), and my steak & eggs was good(borderline great). They had just a bit too much of the sauce. It seemed to dilute the steak. I’d go here again. They have an outside patio with a great east mountain view. Plus it’s in a great part of town.

I feel like my options are keeping it short and sweet or extrapolating so much that I get banned from Unilocal forever. Short story: DELICIOUS. Really incredible food, awesome ambiance, and the service is top notch. I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant and can’t wait to go again.
