General Family Dentistry for patients of all ages. Services include preventive care, periodontal treatment, root canals, restorative and esthetic dentistry and the restoration of dental implants. Bleaching and veneers are also provided. All treatments are guided by the current research and principles to provide the best outcomes.

History

Established in 1984.

Dr. Allen graduated from the College of the Holy Cross where he majored in Chemistry. He furthered his education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where he excelled. Upon graduation, he was awarded the coveted «Louis Grossman Award in Endodontics» for outstanding achievement and proficiency in endodontics.

Dr. Allen returned to Worcester to complete a General Practice Dental Residency program at Worcester Memorial Hospital. The following year he was asked to join the staff of the residency program.

Dr. Allen also served as a teacher at the David Hale Fanning School for Occupational Therapy in the Dental Assisting program. He taught courses in pathology, operative dentistry, and dental materials. Later he became an instructor at the Worcester Memorial and UMASS/​Memorial General Practice Residency Program until its recent closure. He continues on as a staff member at UMASS Memorial Hospital and associate professor at UMASS/​Medical School.

Dr. Thomas Allen Jr. DMD was born and raised as one of six in Massachusetts. He graduated from the College of the Holy Cross where he majored in Chemistry. He furthered his education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where he excelled. Upon graduation, he was awarded the coveted «Louis Grossman Award in Endodontics» for outstanding achievement and proficiency in endodontics.

Dr. Allen returned to Worcester to complete a General Practice Dental Residency program at Worcester Memorial Hospital. The following year he was asked to join the staff of the residency program. As a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, he received his fellowship in the Academy and went on to be awarded Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. Mastership or MAGD, is a professional designation in the AGD which reflects a general dentists continued commitment to provide quality care through continuing education.
