The dog we got is a really good dog. although she did come with a cough but is covered by petland. the vet said its nothing to worry about. staff was really good and helpful. the only thing i didnt like was it is was to warm in there for the dogs, as well as the small cages and wire bottom which is not good for the dogs feet. i’ve rescued all my dogs before this one. she is again a great dog just wish the cages they were in were bigger and had solid bottom

All the animals seemed very happy and playful. The staff was very knowledgeable about each of the breeds. Almost all of them have paperwork for AKC or other registries and are from USDA approved breeders(according to the staff, anyway.) I look forward to going back soon and bringing home a puppy.

Don’t buy!!! For one, these are all puppy mills dogs. Second. We bought a boxer from this place 3,000. We never buy from pet stores but we absolutely fell in love with her. We were in the vet 4 times a week with her for 4 months straight. Kennel cough, diarrhea, vomiting. She had all her shots when we got her, had paperwork to prove it. She was still so sick. Wouldn’t eat. She was acting out. Pooping all over the house intentionally. We put her through training and the trainer even said she wasn’t trainable. We called pet land and they basically said it was our fault and that she was fine when she was there. We loved her so much but after 5 months we couldn’t control her and felt so bad but we gave her to a boxer rescue.

I am a member of an international breed enthusiast group and am active in animal rescue. A colleague of mine recently researched and documented a case on FB at this Petland in Hoffman Estates that horrified me. Here in San Diego County selling puppy mill puppies at a pet store is illegal. This will likely be the case soon in Illinois given the ongoing political action to end puppy mills there as well, but today you can still find puppy mill puppies in pet stores. Please, if you are considering adding a new dog or cat to your family please take a look at the links below first. Your best resource for a new dog or cat is your local shelter, as well as reputable breeders in your area. You have the power to help end puppy mills. «Petland is the largest seller of puppy mill dogs in the United States.»

Rude staff. Doesn’t honor the price club if you joined at a different location. Walked away spending no money. Disliked won’t go back.
