This place has incredible ny pizza for very cheap prices. The owner is down to earth. This is my go to place for pizza.

When my Mom suggested this place for pizza Sunday afternoon I immediately Unilocaled it and was stoked to see such high reviews. We pull in and it’s definitely a hole in the wall, hiding behind a biker bar. When walking in I was hit by a musky smell, which was kind of a turnoff, but I powered through it. If Unilocal says it’s good, then it must be, right? So, we ordered a large Works, a large half pepperoni half beef, and an order of mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were really good, not out of this world, but really good. Then the pizzas came out and as mentioned in other reviews, the outer crust was really yummy and so were the ingredients, but the crust under the pizza was so thin that it just became really soggy under the ingredients. We couldn’t even pick the slices up, because it was so soggy it just fell apart. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed. Then the kids finished up with ice cream bars, but I got 2 cannolis as recommended to me by another patron awaiting their pizza. These things were incredible! I mean, the cream was just so good, crispy shell, lightly dusted with powdered sugar and somewhere in there was a hint of cinnamon. Just superb! The staff was very friendly and overall it wasn’t a horrible experience. I wanted to give them more stars because of the friendly staff and delicious cannolis, but I kinda feel like if it says pizza in the name, then the pizza is the number one thing that needs to be on point, and it just wasn’t. But, with that being said, I will still definitely be back to give them another shot. And I’ll hopefully be back here on Unilocal to update my review!

The pepperoni pizza was fantastic! Loved the crust! Had been hearing good things about this place for a long time but hadn’t made my way there yet. Can’t wait to go back! Fried pickles were delicious too!

I am originally from NJ right outside Philadelphia. I was spoiled with amazing pizzerias and could find a damn good cheesesteak anywhere I went. This place reminds me of home. I have yet to have anything I didn’t like on their menu.

Stumbled across this place by accident at work. It is a New York style pizzeria off the beaten path and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Not wanting to miss the opportunity to fully evaluate a pizzeria, we ordered a large pepperoni pizza, an italian hoagie and some wings. The pizza crust was crisp on the bottom and outside with a light doughy inside. Cheese was fresh and the sauce was delicious. One of the better non-chain pizzas I have had in Texas. The wings were fried to order and lightly sauced. Meat was flavorful and juicy, and much better than the prominent local wing chains in my opinion. The hoagie was underwhelming but not bad. The bread was good, pretty soft with a good texture. Could have used a little more filling but the sandwich as a whole was filling. The dressing seemed to be a premixed italian, and not the standard oil and vinegar I was expecting. Overall, we had a great experience and I will definitely be back. Maybe even a good spot for a short motorcycle ride on the weekend.

I’ve lived in Waller my whole life and never gone here until recently. Everything is so great. This is what a hole-in-the-wall restaurant should be. Delicious all around. My aunt likes their italian subs, I enjoy the fried pickles and pizza. Definitely recommend to people passing through or people who are looking for quality food.

I don’t live in TX, but came here while in town visiting my sister. It’s not like«wow so amazing» pizza but it was really good! Especially for the price. We got a 16 inch pizza, two side salads and four drinks for $ 31. That’s less than $ 10 per person. It is a small place where you order at the front and then sit down and wait for your food. So definitely very casual. Kind of a «hole in the wall» type of place but I was pleased. I would visit again if given the chance.

We have been getting take-out from Backdoor Pizza for almost a year now. Their gyros are excellent and their Mediterranean pizza is our favorite! Although, we haven’t had a bad pizza from these guys yet! Their food is consistently good and the staff is friendly! Their prices are reasonable for the quality of their products!

Located behind Jimbo’s road house. Its kind of hard to see from the road but its actually part of the same building. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, you can order from a window in the bar as well. We had the special, a large thin crust double pepperoni for $ 9.99. One of the best pizzas that I have had in a while. The toppings were were great, plenty of melted cheesy goodness. The crust was thin, crispy and had a great flavor. A very good pizza at a great price. I also had the house salad, it was loaded with black olives(yum!), mushrooms, cucumbers and grape tomatoes, everything was very fresh. It was less than $ 3. Talk about a great deal. Parking isn’t great and the the employees weren’t real friendly. But when the pizza is this good its worth a few minor inconveniences.

A couple things make this place notable. The first is the food. The pizza is not NY style. Having said that, it is delicious and better than any others I’ve had around here. That makes it worth the trip. Speaking of the trip, it’s slightly hidden from Old Hempstead. You have to turn down the side street. Parking is not paved and as it was rainy today I had to walk through some mud so don’t dress up. The interior is very East coast as it reminds me of every good pizza joint. The food is definitely the superstar here.

Hands down the best pizza. The crust is out of this world. Not sure how Vic does it! He manages to keep the edges soft while getting the bottom crispy. My husband said that this is as good as he found outside of Montréal’s Littly Italy. The only complaint is that it ruins you for other pizzas. Oh yeah, and the service is great too :). They treat you like family after just the first visit. It may be far out for some, but is worth the drive. You have to try this place.

Super yummy! The salads are served in the old school wooden salad bowls. It was a nice touch. The Greek salad dressing was rich and tangy. The salad was full of olives, tomatoes, mushrooms, and fresh basil. The Caesar salad was okay. Pretty standard. We got a 20″ half Bronx and half Greek pizza. The toppings were generous and tasty, but the crust was out of this world. It was crispy on the bottom, and the edges were pillowy soft on the inside. Absolutely superb! We had cannoli for dessert and they were good. They were put together right before served, so the shells were nice and crispy and the filling was nice and cold. The owner’s son was taking orders, serving, and bussing. He was knowledgable and courteous — his family should be proud of how he represents them!

I recommend this place to EVERYONE. It is honestly the BEST pizza I have ever had! WAY better than all of these chain restaurant pizza places. I’ve been here about 5 times in the last 5 weeks, it’s that good. The young lady who takes orders is very nice and has been there every time I’ve gone. It’s basically in the middle of nowhere, one of the things I love. It’s a cute little place with the best pizza. If you haven’t been here before, you really have to go, you will not regret it.

My one brief experience with this family-run pizzeria definitely has me craving for more! Large«New York style» slices and juicy toppings covered the three meat pizza ordered for the party I attended. The calzones we cut into tiny pieces for everyone were TODIEFOR. Sausage, pepperoni, fresh peppers, and onion ~I almost regretted eating the huge slice of pizza and filling myself up because I couldn’t eat more or the calzone! The location sounds pretty neat, I could see myself stopping by when driving through the Hockley area. Again: this was a pick up for a party, so I can only review the delicious food!

This place is really close to my house which is a huge plus out in the middle of no where. The pizza was good; I liked it better than chain delivery pizzas. I had a salad and it was very fresh. My kids loved the bluebell ice-cream cones for dessert. I’ll definitely be going here again.

Wow! This place has some serious pizza. My husband and I think it might be some of the best in Texas. We also love that we can order and eat it at the bar next door.
