History

Established in 1999.

The Joint was originally founded in 1999 by Dr. Fred Gerretzen, a doctor of chiropractic whose vision was to transform the traditional and often misunderstood concept of routine chiropractic care by making it convenient, friendly and affordable. In March 2010, The Joint was re-​founded with the acquisition of the original eight franchised clinics. In four short years, The Joint… the chiropractic place® has grown to a nationwide network of more than 225 clinics and counting. We are the leader in delivering chiropractic care, performing more than one million spinal adjustments a year.

In and out in less than five minutes and I always feel so much better afterwards. I don’t have any particular issue, just general tightness from sitting at a desk all day. I find this to be the best relief. There’s a few doctors who work there and they are all excellent and use heir own unique approaches. It’s more of a spa atmosphere and doesn’t feel like they are a doctors office at all, which I love.

I have been with The joint for over two years now. I have been to many chiropractors over the years and have found no comparison. I am from Colorado and began with The joint there. I travel a lot and find it convenient to find a location near where I travel. I have moved to New York and live closest to the Hoboken The Joint so I now call this place my home chiropractor. The convenience is amazing. I never need an appointment and I never have to wait to be treated. I pay one low monthly fee and can be seen four times a month. This fee is less than the usual one time visit to any other chiropractor. And I do not have to wait two weeks for an appointment. I can walk in to any of The Joints and be seen right away! They have a family plan as well that makes it even more economical. I have seen several different doctors and they are all very talented and I always leave feeling better than when I came in. My only wish was that they would open more offices on the east coast. I do love coming to Hoboken though as I can always get some shopping and eating in while I’m here and get some breathtaking views of New York City.

Nothing like a quick adjustment to get you standing taller, breathing easier (yes, it sorts out your sinuses) and most importantly, more relaxed. The team here is always quick to share a smile and provide exceptional service. I’ve been to a couple of other chiropractors in Hobo and they can’t compare. Come see for yourself.

I have been suffering from chronic neck, shoulder, upper&lower back and hip pains for the last 3 – 4 years which has gotten worse over time. I’ve tried massage therapy which only provided an expensive short-​time fix. My friend recommended this place so I decided to go today with some hesitation.
It has been the best $ 19 (initial visit) I’ve ever spent. Not only is it time efficient (5 – 10 minutes procedure), it is also cost effective (see their monthly plan).
Dr. Pritt first explained to me the root cause of the pain, asked me a few questions and then proceeded with the ‘adjustments’ to my neck, back and shoulders. Within about 10 minutes after the procedure while walking home, I felt less pain in my neck and lower back. When I got home, the pains have almost disappeared completely. I haven’t felt this great and pain free in years.
As it’s my first time at a chiropractor, and the recommendation from Dr. Pritt, I will be going again in the next 2 days for a second adjustment. While I may still have some doubts on the effectiveness of the long term treatment, I can honesty say that this treatment has proved more effective than any massage therapy I’ve ever had.

No appointment needed and no insurance needed. Amazing prices for individual visits as well as monthly plans. Office is modern and clean. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They were great at following up with clients. Convenient location right on Washington St. Doesn’t feel like going to the Doctor’s office, feels more like going to the spa. Would definitely recommend checking out.

This puts the traditional chiropractic visit to shame.
The joint in Hoboken is super professional and amazingly quick and efficient. The monthly membership is great… inevitably I would pay the same under benefit plan deductible/​copay but this is less of a headache in the long run for about the same amount per year.
Great doc’s too.

I agree with the other reviewers. This place rocks. They are doctors and they feel like friends. The front desk people, Chandler and Kari, greet you with a smile and welcome you.
The doctors have over 15 years experience and are caring souls.
For $ 29 a visit– wow.
And just walk in.

I love this place! It’s so serene and calming and the staff are all super friendly. I went there initially to get the $ 20 introductory offer and they let me know that there was a free first time special going on! I went because of general discomfort in my upper back, which I had never had before. After I left, my back felt so good and still does! I will definitely return whenever I need to.

The office itself is very inviting, clean and almost even spa-​like. The staff is wonderful — super friendly and attentive and makes you feel at home. This was my first time getting adjusted so I was a bit skeptical but the chiropractor put me at ease right away. He was patient and helpful, listened intently and provided valuable information. After the adjustment, he gave me some great stretching and acupressure exercises for self-​care at home for my carpal tunnel symptoms. After a few days, I noticed my symptoms going away. On top of that, it is super affordable. Definitely try this place out — you can’t go wrong!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The staff is nice and the Dr was great. I have been going to a chiropractor for over 25 years and it is so nice to see this place bringing it to the masses. Great hours & location. Nice staff too. The best part is the price. My normal Chiro in town was $ 75 a visit. It wasn’t possible Le for me to go as often as I wanted to. While the joint doesn’t take health insurence. A visit was as much as my co pay. Also you can do a monthly pass or buy a package. I highly suggest trying this place out if you have chronic or occasionally aches and pains.
