Hugo Gonzalez – State Farm Insurance Agent

I contacted this office to transfer my current homeowner’s insurance from another agent. They took my information, and they told me they would call back after the policy got transferred.
After several days, I called back. It turns out that they are not allowed to transfer policies from other agents. They hadn’t even bothered to call me with an update. I consulted my former agent in another state, and she said that this is not true.
After several more phone calls and repeated attempts to transfer my policy, I gave up and switched to Amica. Amica has the best customer service!
I should also note that the office promised several times to call and/​or email me with updates. They never did.
If this is the way they treat you when selling a policy, can you image how they’d treat you if you had to file a claim? There’s a reason why State Farm has to do so much advertising – it’s b/​c their agents really do not care.

Had renter’s insurance with State Farm (and by default, this agent) for 4+ years. Never had a claim, always paid premiums. Out of no where policy is cancelled without any notification or reason provided. Doesnt respond to emails, doesnt answer the phone. I have never spoke to this man before, but his professionalism in any communication I’ve had has been very poor.

I have a renters insurance policy with state farm for over a decade. After 15 yrs of not owning a car, I recently bought a car and went with State Farm for my auto insurance. The people who work in this office are retards.
3 days after I bought the car (days were sat and sun, went there on monday), I had to go to the office for a visual inspection. Did that. Well about a week after I did the visual inspection, I got a notice from State Farm saying that my collision and comprehensive coverage were cancelled for failure to do the visual inspection. So I had to call the insurance agent, and I am going to name names — Gaynah. It became a small mess.
In addition to this, State Farm made the policy effective 4 days before I even had the car. So I paid for four days of auto insurance when I did not even possess the automobile.
Other minor things that were irritating — I kept getting this form and that form I had to fill out via email for 1 – 2 wks after I got the policy. Why not just give me all the forms I needed to fill out and sign when I physically went to the insurance office for the visual inspection? State Farm as an insurance company is ok, its this office. I would pick a different agent or office to do business with!
And who is Hugo Gonzalez? Never met him nor spoke to him.
