Really not a trustworthy or friendly business.
Do not recommend for the following reasons:
— unprofessional management that misquote prices, treat paying customers poorly and hang up the phone on you when you question a price or anything they don’t want to hear.
— drivers that are not professional
— drivers that put your life at risk with how aggressively dangerously they drive (making close call turns, beeping horns)
All I want is a peaceful, reliable, safe ride home when I come home from my work trips Didn’t happen on the two occasions I used them. I will no longer return.

I spotted this company on an advertisement. I called the number and a car arrived minutes later. The rates were very reasonable. I was happy when I arrived at my destination with no problems. Give them a call it’s worth the convenience of not being late.

For the second time (shame on me for giving second chances), this car service has stranded me at the Newark Airport when I pre-​arranged pick up from an arriving flight. The driver said C Terminal Level 1 Door 4 and he’d be there in 3 min which is where I stood for 30 min in the cold. I even asked if he meant Passenger Pick Up area 4 which is different. He did not respond to my texts. I called the main number who listened to my situation and then they never called me back. What kind of people are these? Hoboken is not a large city. Why they aren’t afraid of losing regular business to Über is beyond me.

By far the best cab company in Hoboken and Jersey City. All brand new cars, great customer service. Would highly recommend it to everyone!

I will officially never call First Class again!
I used this car service for family members and airport trips in addition to a taxi ride almost daily around 7:45am. I make it a point to call at least 10 mins before I actually needed the taxi.
I thought 10 mins is fair window, being that hoboken is 1 square mile. Going from 4^th and grand to the Path is also a very short trip. Each time I called I was advised that my driver would be there in «5 minutes.
Cannot even explain how frustrating it was to wait 5 then 10 then 15 and then 20 for the car to show up!
I called to see if the taxi was coming I was assured the driver was «around the corner» «1 min away» What BS! I Lost count of the times I was late to work after the dispatcher reassured me the driver was «on his way now» If he told the truth, at least I would have the opportunity to walk!
Will never call again. I am shocked as how little they value a repeat customer (who tips!)
If you need a reliable car service, Do NOT waste your time!

I had an emergency where I needed to be at my cousin wedding in which my personal vehicle broke down and I used this service for the first times.
They are reliable and accourate in time Their staff are freindly and profesional. The limo car are super clean it is really a first class limo. definitely recommended Hoboken First Class to anyone…

I have lived in the area for 14 years and have used this car service consistently. Lately they have failed to deliver epicly– leaving me stranded, not picking up their phones, and making me wait for 20 minutes when I called way ahead of time. Totally unacceptable. Will look for a more reliable service now.

I called to reserve the service several hours before the trip, but the car didn’t come, no calls, no notifications and no one answered the call when I was dialing back!

Called for three cabs and was told 7 minutes. Came down to meet the cabs at 7 minutes only to find all three cabs had been relocated due to not being there on time. The dispatcher never took my name or information in order to follow up with me when the cabs were downstairs. Never using this cab company again.

Pretty much the only car service I use in Hoboken. I use them to take me home from the airport! They even track my flight and are always there within a few minutes of me grabbing my luggage and heading outside
Sometimes the phone is busy though. Especially on weekends. They may want to add a few more phone lines.

This is consistently the best and most dependable way to get around town. The cars are always best-​in-​class, the dispatcher is always accurate and swift in getting a vehicle to my location (never more than 10 minutes), and the drivers are always friendly.
I’m going out of my way to rate them right now after seeing the flatly inaccurate reviews and being insulted FOR these guys… that’s how much I appreciate their service.
I will continue to use these guys several times a week; because if ain’t broke, don’t fix it!

Actually used Hoboken First Class twice within a couple of hours today.
Thanks to all the snow that we’ve had around here lately, driving into Hoboken really wasn’t a option for a appointment that I had a 10:00 this morning. Called another car service that I normally take and they weren’t available.
The dispatcher said 10 minutes and within that time they were at my door. Then a couple or hours later I tried again for a return trip back to Jersey City. This time I was given the response of 5 minutes till they pick me up. Yet again it was less than 5 minutes later I was on my way home.
The driver was very professional & was even dressed in a suit. Didn’t know that cabbies did that anymore! Even the car itself seemed like it was brand new. Thought I was in a Lincoln town car. Actually found out that it was a Mazda Avalon hybrid.
Now maybe they charge a few dollars more than other cab companies, but if your in a pinch give HFC a call. They have quick & reliable service.

Took them two times and each time was awesome. Prompt with good cars and priced well leaves my bf and I very happy!

I had a very positive experience with Hoboken First Class, following a very poor experience with a competitor. They were there exactly when they said they would be, the driver offered to go out of his way and wait for me in the car while I went to the ATM, (though I said he could just leave me at a different ATM that would have put me out of my way), he was courteous and even turned down the AC because I looked cold. The little things.

I always use them when I’m in Hoboken or union city. It’s always a $ 7 drive going from uc down to Hoboken and that’s the cheapest I’ve found. They always come in the time that they say. Efficient and safe drivers!

Not sure what everyone else is whining about, but First Class is the only car service in Hoboken I’ll call. I travel a lot for work, and I use them to and from Newark Airport every time, for about a year and a half now. They are always on time, courteous, the drivers are safe, and the price is reasonable. The cars are always clean and a lot of the time the drivers have water bottles to give you and magazines on the seat for a longer ride.
They’re also great for going around Hoboken locally — $ 5, not like the scam $ 6 cars. The other night I was up on 13^th street wanting to get downtown and didn’t want to walk alone at night. I called up at 9:55pm to request a car, and by 10:01pm I was in the car and on my way.
The only thing preventing me from giving 5 stars is the payment system to and from the airport. Their credit card payment «system» requires that you call up from the car and give your CC number once you’ve arrived, then the driver writes you a receipt. They should really either A. take your CC number when you call and make the reservation (I’ve tried this before, they won’t) or B. invest in Square or some other mobile payment option.
Otherwise, I highly recommend this car service.

Hands down the absolute worst taxi/​car service I have EVER experienced! I had scheduled a car pick up 1 week in advance for 4:20am on Sunday morning, 4÷07÷13. I called again on Saturday afternoon, ⁴⁄₀₆ to confirm my pick up from Weehawken to Newark airport. At 4:21am on Sunday I called Hoboken First Class to inquire on my drivers status. The gentleman who answered the phone was clearly asleep and said he would call me back. After almost 10 mins, I called back again and was told the driver had a flat tire! BS! If he had a flat tire, why didn’t someone call me earlier to inform me? He suggested I call another company to get a ride to the airport because it would be another 20 mins and I would miss my flight. I did in fact call my local taxi company who arrived in 5 mins… however we did almost miss our flight. Hoboken First Class Taxi is not reliable… Please do not use this company!

Doesn’t even deserve A star. Seriously. Morons behind a dirty wheel. It’s a glorified taxi cab. Because they are black cars doesn’t mean you’ll get the same service. It’s a circus of incompetent drivers. I swear monkeys could do better job (nothing against monkeys). If you’re staying at The W, they push this car service on you. I have my own car service preference and thank god. Since this was a quick trip to a mall I decided to get a cab. A hotel employee asks if you need a car and they quickly get you one. My mistake. The next day I used my own car service (because I was going farther). I made my reservation, my driver calls me, I go down stairs and they are literally hassling the driver. I know most of the drivers they send and he tells me it’s like a mafia, they don’t appreciate other car service companies servicing the hotel, they expect every guest to use them. IMO, the car service should match the hotel. I don’t know why The W Hotel uses them. Oh and BTW, I use BCE Limousines 201−440−5433. They are close, and service all of NJ & NY.

I’ve used Hoboken First Class before within Hoboken since they are one of the few services that only charges $ 5 instead of $ 6 when you call for a car and arrive at your door quickly. This was the first time I used them for a trip outside Hoboken City limits, something I may never do again.
Similar to Laura C, I was quoted one price, and then charged another. I usually use Downtown Limo because they have the best prices, but decided to shop around this time. Low and behold, Hoboken First Class quoted me a rate $ 8 less expensive than Downtown Limo to go from Bushwick in Brooklyn, to Hoboken, so I scheduled the service.
I checked my credit card a few days later and I was charged $ 10 more than I should have. Hoboken First Class basically told me I was a wrong and that none of their dispatchers quoted me that rate. So I should have just gone with my usual choice, Downtown Limo. Lesson learned.
Update: The owner emailed me back and offered to credit me $ 10 for my next trip with them, hence my «A-​OK» rating.

There are plenty of car services in Hoboken and this one has to be THE WORST when it comes to customer service. I use several different car services, basically whoever is available when I call. I fly weekly for work, every Saturday and Tuesday, so I am basically a big car service whore. Anyone who has ever had to try to get to Laguardia with luggage on public transportation should be able to sympathize. The average price for such a trip from Hoboken to Laguardia is about 50 – 65 $ base plus tolls and tip. On a recent trip when I arrived at the airport, the driver informed me I owed him $ 95. I asked him to explain and he said it was $ 80 base plus $ 15 in tolls. I told him that was ridiculous and I had never paid such an absorbitant fee before, even with this particular company. I paid and asked for a receipt as I had a flight to catch and didn’t have to time to argue with the driver of my piece of crap 1990 model Lincoln town car. At that price at least put me in a car from the last 20 years. When I called the company to inquire upon my return, they informed me «the rate from Hoboken to Laguardia is $ 65 plus tolls». I asked how much that should be. I was told «approximately $ 73». I asked if this was a set fee for all of HOBOKEN and was told yes. I then asked why I was charged so much. I was told because I was picked up at the W Hotel, which is IN HOBOKEN, I was charged extra instead of a «local price». I explained that I am a local and asked why I wasn’t made aware of this when I initially got the car service and I was told that they had to pay an extra fee to pick me up at the W. Well it would have been nice if you shared that with me, as I would have walked the 1 block up the street to my apartment on Washington and 3^rd. Also, how did the tolls raise from $ 8 to $ 15? I suppose some overzealous driver figured this «out of towner» should pay for him to use the midtown tunnel. The company did not seem interested in trying to rectify the situation and preferred to lose all my future business. Well fine, in the future I will use DOWNTOWN (201) 795‑9595, with a $ 51 base fare. Or AIRPORT CAR AND LIMO (201) 216‑1111, with a $ 53 base fare. Or even NY/​NJ LIMO RIDE, (201) 4 346 003, with a base fare of $ 58. NJ FLAT RATE is only $ 81, which covers tolls, tax and gratuity. In any event, I will most certainly not ever use HOBOKEN LAST CLASS which charged $ 95 freaking dollars for a subpar ride in a crappy car. Hoboken, you have been warned. AND, if you are ever at the W, just cross the street when your car service arrives and maybe you will save yourself $ 30 or so dollars.
