Guitar Bar Jr

I’ve taken both of my kids (3.5 yrs and 21 months) to the music classes at Guitar Bar, Jr. over the past few years and we love it there! My kids have a blast and Karen is wonderful! My kids get so excited when it’s a ‘music class day.’ I can’t say enough about the class — it’s awesome! The kids are engaged, entertained and definitely have a blast. Guitar Bar Jr. is amazing! A Hoboken gem for sure.

We’ve been here for adult guitar needs and today we went for a toddler guitar group class. The toddler class was great! The teacher, Karen, was so good with the kids and they all had such a good time. We’ll definitely go back.

My daughter attended music classes here for a few months. She absolutely loved it. Layla attended weekly with her nanny, so unfortunately I couldn’t attend with her. Seeing the photos of her progressing from being held, to sitting in her own to crawling during class are just priceless. She loves music and I will be sending her back in the future for more music class for sure. Maybe Guitar Bar you can start doing Saturday classes for babies so I can attend?!

Such a great local neighborhood resource. This outpost of the Guitar Bar seems to cater to the families who live in uptown Hoboken; they offer group classes for kids as young as 2 years old and also individual lessons. Most of the instruments they sell are definitely on the «value» end of the price range, since they are targeting beginners who probably aren’t ready to splurge $ 1500+ on that nice Taylor guitar. All the people who work here are so nice and friendly.
My older son has taken a few of the ukulele classes and he’s had a blast. We ended up buying a ukulele for him and one for me; we sometimes play together at home.

I bought some vinyl here at various times over the past year and a half or so. I’m not sure if they are still selling vinyl or not, but I’ll say that they only sold top quality used records. I don’t play any instruments, but if I were to begin, my experience with buying my music here would lead my first stop to be at Guitar Bar to pick up my new instrument due to my great experience buying music.

This is My favorite music store. This is a true diamond in the rough. Here You are going to be dealing with honesty, expertise, respect, more than fair, and is not out to rip You off. I am not sure why the huge music store chains I frequented growing up all these years seem to attract and employ self-​important, condescending bafoons who know little or nothing about anything and are pretty useless, but I am done with them. If it’s not at guitar bar, I will get it online. But whenever I can, I go to make My purchases at the guitar bar not only to support them, but because I am going to get it strait to Me across the board weather it be a question, a price, down to what’s available to Me to purchase. This is a place We are lucky to have available to us, a place that has more heart and soul than any other music shop I have been to. Frankly, I have toured this country several times and been to many music stores. There is absolutely no place like home, for Me that’s the guitar bar. This is where Your money should go. This is where You go when You have real questions and want real answers.

I love the guys at Guitarbar, and since they opened up a smaller shop for the kids up in my neighborhood, I love them even more! Send your kids here for lessons, they are great!

Awesome staff, good prices on new and used guitars and ukulele’s. This uptown location is a smaller than the original but they offer lessons for kids (and adults!). Do it.
