Bliss Hoboken

I did pedicure today. The lady which did my pedicure cut my skin. I was bleeding and crying. So upset. Nobody recommend. She was very hurry. The manager even did not say sorry. Who wants to bleed — go to bliss Hoboken.

I wish I could give this a 3 or 4 like I would the 49^th street location in NYC that I used to go to, but unfortunately, I can’t… Here’s why:
1). The level and quality of service is inconsistent.
I should qualify this by saying I’ve been a loyal bliss customer for over 6 years ever since I lived in Boston and started services there then moved back to NYC (and did the majority of my services at the 49^th street location, although I’ve been to both the 57^th and Soho locale as well). I’m aware of the price (which is relatively expensive), but I’m also aware of the quality and have come to develop an expectation based on the services I’ve received in the past. Here in Hoboken unfortunately it’s all over the board. I primarily come for waxing, and I’ve had to come back several times within the past 6 months as the job that was done was insufficient (I even got burned by the wax once). Now when I book I have to try and remember which months were bad vs good so I can try and book with someone who will do a sufficient job. It’s unfortunate because some of the aestheticians are really good here…
2) the level of service/​assistance from those at the front desk is inconsistent. Again, same thing here-​some of the people are really helpful/​nice, and some aren’t. For example, I asked about specials being run in January, as I had received a gift card for Christmas. They said-​just the membership (facial upgrade). I asked about anything else, they said no. I went home to schedule my next appointment online and I came to find that they were actually running 30%off all services for the month of January… Unfortunately when I called back (I called the spa directly), they couldn’t accommodate me.
Overall, going here is really hit or miss, and that’s unfortunate especially when you’re paying what you do for Bliss Quality. Try and go to one of the locations in the city if you can!

Erica gave me the best massage today! It was so good, I booked my return appt before leaving the spa. Can’t wait!

I’ve been a customer and fan of Bliss spas for years. My favorite and most frequented location is Bliss49, but I recently had 2 hot cream manicures with Patty at the Hoboken location. Generally after a manicure the polish chips after one or two days, sometimes even the very same day, but both times after Patty’s service the polish lasted for nearly a week! Not only is Patty so skilled, but she’s also very friendly which adds to the already pleasant atmosphere and experience.
The spa itself, while on the small side, is beautifully decorated and extremely clean, and the staff is friendly. I work two blocks away and can’t believe I’ve waited so long to book services here. I’ll definitely keep going back for more!

I booked an appointment for a massage for me, and facial for my daughter. The service was on time and the receptionist was welcoming. The waiting area is small but cozy and comfortable. They have snacks (olives, cheese, crackers, tea, apples…) and flavored water. The massage was really great and my daughter loved her facial. My only complaint was that they only had 3 robes on the shelf and they were XXL… I’m 5’1″…I couldn’t find anyone to ask for a smaller robe. I would come back.

I had a wonderful experience here. I went for a full leg and Brazilian wax and Esther was beyond great. She was professional, friendly, and made me feel at ease the entire time. She made sure to get every single hair and she was quick! I will definitely be returning to this place and possibly booking other services as well.

I had a mani-​pedi at Bliss Hoboken this week, it was so relaxing I loved my experience. Yvette did such an amazing job, she took her time and was very nice, she even helped me choose the perfect color for my nails. She is by far the best in Hoboken!

Bliss is AMAZING! I have been there many times for facials. I had a fabulous facial & micro-​triple oxygen. I had the pleasure of having Sandy & Zoey complete my service. They were both great, they explained everything really well and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. The spa itself is really nice, clean & everyone is extremley friendly & professional. Can’t wait to go back.

Called earlier today and was able to get a waxing appointment later in the day. I usually go to the 57^th Street location but Hoboken is closer.
From the minute I walked in, I was greeted with a smile from everyone and was encouraged to sit in the cozy waiting area.
Yummy snacks, flavored water, etc. After only a few minutes wait, Esther came to greet me to take me to the waxing room.
The room was warm and very clean. Didn’t hear any music though. Esther was very gentle but efficient. The wax used at bliss doesn’t stick to the skin, only the hair so there is less pain.
I can’t wait for my next appointment !

Knowledgable staff with a clean and relaxing environment. Customer service and client satisfaction are an obvious priority at Bliss Hoboken. I will definitely be back for more services in the future.

What happened to Bliss?! Bliss used to be my go to spot for massages. Consistently exceptional massages and always left feeling like a million bucks — not a single knot left in my back!
Went for a last minute massage this week and left feeling so disappointed and full of knots. My masseuse gave a very gentle massage in spite of me asking for more pressure /​deep tissue. For nearly 2x the price of other local places, I expect to leave with fewer knots than I arrived with and strong pressure when requested. Very disappointed. Will not return.
(I don’t want to list masseuse’s name on a negative review, but yea never again!!)

I have chronic pain. Shannon is amazing and really gets in there. She is very nice and won’t sell you on products. For aSmall person she is very strong. And helps Me. I have cried to her and she does not make me feel stupid about it.
Joseph: hello! He is very good. If you really want the full pressure experience or are a man definitely see Him. He really knows about muscles and will definitely fix you up. Sometimes his pressure is too much for my Injury though. But seriously A+!!!
Facial: I don’t believe in the hype of them. I do go twice a year: spring snd Sept/​October. And the winner is SANDY. She customizes my facials and does NOT sell me fluff. Her extractions are very thorough. That’s why I go for a deep cleaning and microdermabrasion (sometimes) for my pigment.
I have talked to other woman in the locker room. Go to her! She will tell you what you need to do daily. But sunscreen is #1!
Bliss Pros: smells good, water, cheese, crackers, brownies, sauna, steam shower, staff, and mentioned above.
Cons: the prices are on the high side and the couch is not comfortable.
But honestly it has taken me years to find people
That help me. They have.
If you like the fluffy spa feeling and the feeling of touch this place will do that for you as well. I however NEED them.

Update– went back to Bliss, received the wrong service. Apparently there were two clients with the same name (me being one of them) and the other client received my triple oxygen facial, and I got their fabulous facial. If you’ve been here before or have done research, you will know that the triple oxygen is much better. I’m HIGHLY disappointed that a spa that charges $ 170+ for a facial (and tries to upsell you another $ 70 on a microderm when you’re on the table) can’t get their clients right. The resolution? A measly 10% off my next service… LAME!

I’ve been to bliss now 3 times, and I will say that your experience will greatly depend on the staff member serving you, (as with any hospitality service.)
I’d suggest going a few times to determine what esthetician (s) you prefer. After all, spa services can be intimate — you’re allowing your body to be vulnerable. and want to be utmost comfortable.
The physical spa itself is very clean, decorated nicely, and inviting. Complimentary drinks and snacks are set out for your convenience. The atmosphere definitely meets expectations of a luxury spa.

Don’t see Agnes.
I’ve never experienced as rude an esthetician as Agnes. She was unfriendly from the moment she opened the door. Never smiled or introduced herself. Made no effort to be nice. Has me lay down on the table and I mention I am pregnant and just confirming that there’s no issue with getting the face wax (bc I’ve read that sometimes skin can be more sensitive). She then looks at me with complete disdain and says in a tone dripping with sarcasm, «why, do you see a connection between those two things?»
I got up and left. She said nothing. She made no effort to apologize or keep me from leaving. I wasn’t even out the door and she was removing the paper from the table.
I explained what happened to the manager. He apologized and offered me 15% off another aesthetician in 30 min. I declined. I’m pretty sure I won’t be coming back to Bliss for a wax. There are so any other places in town now to get a good wax. For Bliss prices and reputation, I would expect way more from their employees.

I’ve been going to the Bliss Spa in Hoboken for about a year. I live in central jersey but drive the 45 minutes to Hoboken because of the staff.
I was lucky enough to get Joseph the first time I went and go regularly because he is amazing. He can do a very relaxing gentle massage or he can really get in there if you need a deep tissue massage.
I took my mom today as a Mother’s Day gift and she thoroughly enjoyed her hot foot pedicure with Ivette.

Don’t get me wrong– it is always a treat to come to Bliss and forget about stress and unwind. However, any time I’ve been here I have come because I have a gift card. Yet every time I come, I end up paying an extra 150 – 200 dollars out of my pocket which pretty much defeats the purpose of coming here and redeeming my gift.
I’m not sure if it’s me being a pushover or just willing to do anything for my skin when it’s recommended by someone who knows more about skincare than I do, but they always convince me that I need something more and better. They make it seem like if I don’t get these (very pricey) add-​ons then my skin is going to fall apart. I don’t like that. I spend the time researching the facials/​massages before I make my appointment and I don’t feel I need to be pretty much guilted into spending a significant amount extra. Maybe it’s just me– but this is happened on 3 separate occasions. I don’t think I’ll be back.

I went here today for a Facial. I haven’t been to this location in over a year.
First I will say that the tech and the facial itself were excellent, as always, however this Bliss location is desperately in need of renovation. My low rating is 100% a review of the facility.
The room looked dingy and was freezing cold, pretty much the whole time. The tech tried to warm up the room, but it never really did and I don’t think the bed warmer was working.
The locker room was dirty with a not quite clean toilet, more broken lockers than working ones and an overflowing trash can
The valet parkers are an independent company, not affiliated with the W, which is odd. $ 20 to park and they are slow and unfriendly.
All in all, not the «Bliss“ful experience I expect when I splurge $ 300+ on a spa service.
The W and Bliss brands should be embarrassed of this location.

Rosalia is the BEST most SWEETEST esthetician. Erica is the most KINDEST and BEST masseuse.
Words can’t express how great Rosalia and Erica are. I had sessions with both after a tragedy and they were so professional but also therapeutic that they should be the poster definition for great service.
Besides the fact that the service is truly honestly genuine and skillful, they have great pricing and great perks such as a nice shower, spa area and package deals.
Overall, a hidden gem of pampering in Hoboken.
If you want a facial or massage, GO and ask for Rosalia or Erica.

The first time I came to Bliss Hoboken was for a facial consult and eyebrow waxing. New Jersey law does not allow extractions during facials. Who knew?. At the time of my consult, I did not know this and I am glad I only booked a consult because if I had paid $ 195 for a facial and did not walk out with extractions, I would not have been a happy camper. No joke. Go across the river for your facial if you need extractions, or just book a dermatology appointment. This is New Jersey’s fault and not the spas, so no points deducted there and points awarded for honesty. But no stars awarded for NJ.
Eyebrow waxing was bueno. Wax doesn’t hurt and my brows were shaped well. You should try this.
Hot cream Manicure — love this treatment but I was not really amused today. Somehow I knocked my wet nails and chipped the paint. The tech picked up my phone — TO LOOK FOR PAINT. Rude. There was no paint on my phone or hand, soooo i was kind of appalled at her behavior and will think twice about coming back for this treatment here. This is a great winter manicure for dry hands. Works wonders. Try this at Bliss 57, you shan’t be disappointed.
Spa is relaxing overall but at this price point I expect WOW. Ironically some of prices are on point with other spas and nail salons in the area. Maybe I am just whining because they are technically a relaxing spa with crackers. Lemon water is tasty and lounge area is clean and relaxing. Parking is a pain but Hoboken… Will I come back? Maybe or maybe I’ll just cross the river.
