For those of u that don’t know, this is one of the OG blimpies. Ingredients are always fresh and you really can’t go wrong with the blimpie club. Dlvy is really quick and fantastic as well.

I always try to stop at Blimpie when I’m in Hoboken. Best sandwich shop in that area by far. I like that they slice the turkey while Im waiting. I highly recommend Blimpie. I hope they make it out to San Diego one day.

I will start by saying I grew up eating at this Blimpie(40+yrs!!) so nothing else compares! I remember the original location on 6th and Washington St. My all time favorite is the #2(ham, salami & provolone) but also love their tuna! I moved away and the closest thing is a Subway(not a fan at all) and Jersey Mike’s(ahh still NOT a Blimpie) So every time we would come to Hoboken, I have to have my Blimpie fix :) Bread is always fresh, cold cuts freshly sliced and just love the atmosphere and the staff are always so nice! There is nothing else that compares to a Blimpie and to this Blimpie, the original Hoboken location!

Obsessed would be an understatement. I grew up eating blimpie subs in central jersey and after a 15 year hiatus(because I thought I was too good for francised fast food) I found myself at the original in hoboken recently. It’s delicious, fresh, inexpensive, nostalgic, and perfectly proportionate. The staff are always very nice and the place is clean. Turkey and American on nine grain bread with everything plus mayo all day. And open til 1am. Dangerous!

The original location, and no where near the franchise ones quality wise! This Blimpie should be regarded as completely separate from any others you’ve been to. Delicious sandwiches, great service.

I’ll start by saying I’ve been a customer here for 20 years. This is by far the cleanest and freshest Blimpie in the franchise. Although only the second location ever(The original on 7th and Washington is now a Laundromat), it is regarded as the de facto flagship location. The meat is fresh sliced, the staff is incredibly friendly and efficent and the subs are delicious. I will continue to patronize this establishment — especially the Blimpie Best!

I never thought I’d be giving Blimpie 5 Stars but this location is amazing. It blows similar sandwich concepts out of the water. If you’re in the area there’s no better place to go. All the ingredients are incredibly fresh, they use deli slicers and have all the right meats and cheeses. I highly recommend it.

I’ve tried several Blimpies in the area and nothing comes close to the Hoboken location. Their sandwiches are the best hands down. This is my go-to spot whenever I need a cold cut fix.

Hands down: my favorite Blimpie ever, and definitely one of my top fave sandwich spots. I’ve been going to this Blimpie since I was a kid, and I can’t say I’ve ever had a bad sandwich. I’ve had almost all their deli meats and cheeses in different combos, and always left happy and full. The food is fresh, made to order, carefully handcrafted, and most importantly delicious. The employees are very sweet, friendly, and work hard for their customers. I don’t come here as often as I used to when I was younger, but it’s the same high quality now as it was back then.

World’s first Blimpie’s, a tristate area institution for cold subs. Speaks for itself.

Today I tried their Cuban sandwich, OMG it’s superb!!! The garlic oil together with swiss cheese and honey oat bread make this hot sandwich real delicious! Highly recommend!

Would’ve been a good sandwich but the quality of the bread was awful. Killed the sandwich for me. It was Subway grade bread.

A privately owened Blimpies, yet not a franchise. Fresh sliced meat makes this place a cut above the rest of the chain that shares its name. The Blimpie’s best is very good. I think if you’re looking for something quick and good, this is the place. This location(unlike the other franchises) is not a typical pre-sliced chain sub shop. It’s a 4 – 5 star sandwhich… but it still is just a sandwich.

If you think all Blimpie’s restaurants taste the same, you are dead wrong. This particular Blimpie’s use their own breads and high quality meat, not like the others of this chain in Jersey City or anywhere else. The store claimed to be the first opened with this Blimpie chain, but I am not sure how true it is. I don’t really care though. Its food is better than your regular Blimpie’s or Subway. This seemly mundane and generic restaurant may be serving the best sandwich in tri-state. Try it to believe it. Ask for a BB — Blimpie’s best.

This place is great. Consistently good service and sandwiches. I love that they use fresh cuts of meat. The tomatoes are also nice unlike most other chain sandwich places. There’s almost never a line and they are open late. I always get the Blimpie Best.

Two words: BLIMPIEBEST. This is the original Blimpie. It all started here in 1964. The bread! That’s where it ALL starts. It’s perfect. The cold cuts are fresh. And as a previous reviewer stated, the lettuce is thinly shredded, which makes for that perfect crunch upon biting your sandwich. There is no going to another sandwich chain when in the mood for a deli sandwich.

You’re not just eating THEBEST sandwich(served by a chain), you’re also eating a piece of history. This is the first/original 1964 Blimpie Base. Fresh ingredients(esp. the thinly shredded lettuce that goes crunch), freshly baked bread & generous portions of meat are standard. Simply blows the crap out of Subway, Quiznos or any other sandwich/sub chain.

Everytime I drink at Cork City, I order from Blimpie. In a sad but true fact of my life — I have come to know the delivery driver since I drink that frequently. Anyway, Blimpie is much better then Subway. Sure, its more expensive, but the meat doesn’t taste like slime. Boom.
