Master Piano Technician & Artisan Aart Markenstein had a 20 year career in the entertainment industry as a keyboard technician & roadie, then had the rare opportunity to study with world’s highly acclaimed Steinway Antique Piano Master Kalman Detriech at the Museum of the American Piano. Aart studied side by side with his mentor, and was accredited in piano technology in 2004. Soon after, Aart opened his own piano shop, Aart In America Piano Company, and has become well respected in this old world art by his clients and colleagues, certified as a Master Piano Technician by his industry peers. He is also a talented pianist & songwriter. Aart has had the pleasure of working with a long list of A+ celebrity clientele, as well as regular households, and treats every single customer with the same integrity and passion. He is a valued member of the Piano Technicians Guild, and Registered Agent for the National Association of Master Piano Technicians.
