I will never return to this business again. I took a vehicle of mine to them to have the struts replaced. When I drove away I knew something wasn’t right with the handling of the car. I took it back to have them look at it and they tell me that there’s nothing wrong and I must be imaging things. Then I take it to a friend of mine who is a mechanic and he shows me where they forgot to tighten down the bolts on the struts. So I return to Hobart Trans. to inform them of the problem and the manager has nerve to get attitude with me. He says«There’s no way my guys forgot to tighten down those bolts!» So when they look at it again, he finds that his guys did forget to tighten the bolts. How could they be so incompetent to have forgot this from the get go? And they test drove the vehicle when they installed the struts. How did they not notice that there was a problem? Like I stated earlier, Hobart Transmission can forget ever having me as a customer again.

I don’t know if their negative business practices have changed, but I went there 10 years ago and the cost of my transmission problem went from $ 700(would take care of it) to an $ 1800 transmission job. Then, after driving it out of the parking lot the transmission failed less than 10 miles from the shop. I’d never go back there and I would never recommend that business to anyone. Even after this much time that experience still boils my blood.

In my experience and opinion, this business is terrible. They do not stand behind their service, they offer a very limited«warranty» and they are crooks. They are NOT a member of the BBB. Save yourself the headache and your money and find a better place to go for your car. If not, expect to pay and go to another place to fix the«work» they do on your car.
