Came for a while to this little deli out of convenience but found the prices to be very inconsistent. I ordered the same thing almost every time(boring I know) but every time I came in the price changed. I also find the owners wife to be a little rude and short with me every time I would order and just not very friendly. Overall the food is just ok for a deli nothing special and its very inconsistent.

I love this deli. Their sandwiches and wraps are amazing, as well as their pasta salads. The staff is so friendly and makes you want to come back every time.

I’ve been a frequent customer since before I could walk. Garbo’s is the best, friendliest, and most delicious place around for a quick sandwich or slice.

Love their M thru W 10 dollar plain cheese large pie special. It is the best NY style pizza in the area. Folks are super friendly on the phone, and they have a nice deli selection in house. It’s just down the street from us, and things are ready fast and it is just so delicious. Highly recommend.

A small deli that’s perfect for wine & cheese. Garbo’s Deli offers a good sandwich or dinner platter choice like most delis, but family run and worth the effort for fresher tasting vegetables and fruits and quality meats. The best part is they have a good selection of wines to offer and cheese platters, making for a perfect spot to pick up for small gatherings in the area. They also have pizza options, though I went with the sandwiches, and a quick snack selection if you’re just passing by and want to grab something quick. The pizza coming out of the oven did look good though, with an old-style crust; plus they didn’t have old individual slices laying about so they probably keep everything a little fresher and cook on the spot.

Great experience after living here all my life and driving by this place for 20 years. Finally went in and a nice surprise. Great deli and very nice owners and service. Boats Head cold cuts, great variety of bread and nice specials. Will go back for pizza next.

My wife absolutely loves the Garbo special hero. Also has the best pizza in the area hands down. Local owned and very nice people. I would recommend to everyone.

Garbo’s has some great options for healthy wraps and sandwiches/hero’s in Bergen County. I stumbled upon this place through Unilocal(of course), and I was delightfully surprised. I’m a harsh grilled chicken Caesar critic, but Garbo’s whipped me up one that slapped me sideways. Delicious, fresh, and ranking high on affordability.

Good Sandwiches Hand Tossed Pizza A Bit Pricey Really nice folks working in here, the service is accurate and friendly. They use quality cold cuts and have nice bread to compliment the subs, the toppings are always fresh and the construction of the sandwich is neat and in good proportion. The pizza is good but a bit pricey by the slice. Garbo’s has a small selection of wine that’s on the inexpensive side, in a pinch this comes in handy. Nice clean Italian Deli that has served the community for many years while providing jobs for local folks. Support Local Business!

Garbo’s Deli, what can I say. There are 2 similar Italian Deli’s, within 2 miles of each other, Garbo’s and Italian Rivera in Waldwick. I am a Garbo’s guy. Their ham and mozz on a long roll with lettuce onions and oil & vinegar, is nothing shy of fantastic. Also, their Pizza is great, and they recently started to sell wine as well. No surprise this place has been in business for over 20 years.

I think this place has the best breakfast sandwich in NJ.(They use Boar’s Head bacon and it makes a difference IMO.) For lunch go for their«Super Hero» which is two feet long — no joke. My favorite: turkey, swiss, lettuce, tomato, sweet peppers and spicy mustard. It’s really, really good. Are we detecting a theme here? Yep, I love this place. Give it a try and you will, too.

Nestled away in a store near a street corner in a busy downtown Ho-Ho-Kus you will find this amazing eatery. It is a perfect one stop shop for a bottle of wine(or two or three) and a delicious Italian meal. Not one bad dish from here and their pizza is pretty decent. One star shy because sometimes the staff is a bit hostile, but don’t let that stop you!

Best Deli ever. Seriously, if you’re looking for an authentic Italian deli this is the place for you. The sandwiches are great and you can’t beat their cooked dishes(chicken, meatballs, etc.). A throwback to the family run delis I grew up with.

Neat little Italian Deli. Service is friendly and the place is clean. There was an Italian looking guy throwing dough in the air making the pizzas… gives it that authentic feel. Sadly, the cheese on this pizza is on the bitter side and the sauce is fairly tasteless. Two stars for the Pizza($ 2.50? Get real.) plus one star for the cuteness of this joint. YMMV.
