Overpriced, no surplus ammo available, still better than closest competitor just down the street.

SOUTHERNHOSPITALITYLIVESHERE! This store is a sporting goods store and has clothing, athletic equipment, hunting/fishing gear and of course guns and ammunition. We went in search of ammo because we have been trying to purchase some shells since Christmas but we are in an area that is heavily shopped so we have a difficult time getting what we need. No problem here, they had more than enough of what we needed and we were elated! The best part is that we darted into this store five minutes before closing and there was no rush. The sales associate waited on as if we had all day. It was great. Approximately 10 minutes later a man(whom I assume to be the manager), came up and started chatting with us only to indicate that his son lived in our city for approx. 10 years, small world. Although we were already checked out and headed for the door, there was no rush to have us exit. It was nice making a connection and I really appreciate the customer interaction. Nice store and nice people who epitomize southern hospitality.

Terrible. I would say at least 90% of their inventory is their personal brand. The prices are way too high, and their customer service was terrible. Not a single employee greeted me, acknowledged I was there, or asked if I needed any help. I won’t be returning… ever.

Average, but clean in the recently opened style. Heavy on clothes in all the city colours and styles. Over-all prices on ammo, firearms, footware, and accessories are average. Below average selection on hearing protection. Great parking, even for over-sized vehicles, or those pulling trailers/campers. Two notches above their competitor just west on 153, and worth a stop if you’ve something specific in mind.

Gander Mountain is finally open, how about that. Well, anyway a store associate told me they have been open for about three weeks. It’s a real nice big shopping center. So, you can shop at other places of business before or after Gander Mountain. It’s about as big as an old Walmart used to be before they made them all super centers. They have lots of camouflage clothes in the center of the store. The camo clothes they have are jackets, shirts, socks, pants, coveralls, hats, coats, belts, and lots of women’s clothes in camouflage too. Their guns are very organized here too. They encompass the complete back wall. They are categorized by brand name of guns. For example, Browning, Winchester, Bennelli, Remington, Smith and Wesson and so on. Please see my pictures to give a an idea. I think this is a great marketing scheme for advertising purposes are concerned. Also, if you like one brand name. You can go right to your manufacturer. The customer service was exceptional well. I felt they were watching me to see if I needed help at all times.
