I don’t often venture into house ware stores(I feel as an armadillo in a china shop might feel), but when something house-ware wise needs replacing or upgrading, I head to Bed Bath & Beyond. «Bed Bath & Beyond!» sounds like something a House Elf might scream as he began the weekly cleaning regimen, but I’ve never been accused of being a Clean Freak, and I don’t have many visible elfish tendencies. Yet, I enjoy my infrequent visits, as the selections at BB&B are vast, as are the price points in each department. If one might wish to drop $ 189OR $ 18.90 on a 12″ skillet, you’ll find choices here. They’ve quality cast iron items, also. Pretty good selection of sheets, thread counts and colours. Good selection of mid-grade glass & stemware, should that be your needing. I like how I can browse undisturbed, and yet find quick assistance should questions arise. There’s undoubtedly cheaper places for housewares, but I figure I can find a vast selection, and quality items for my entire home under one roof, with one stop. AND, I can yell«Bed Bath & Beyond!» as I head toward the entrance.

If any of you are freaks about housewares, this is the store for you. What? Was that TMI? Sorry, but if you are nuts about spatulas and melon ballers like me, You will be in hog heaven. The only thing that freaks me out about this store is how compact everything feels. The aisles are always really small. You can barely fit a shopping cart(buggy for you southerners) in an aisle without knocking crap off of racks and hangers as you pass. Things are stacked to the ceiling, so I get a little overwhelmed when I’m in there. I have to have a good idea of what I want when I decide to go. They have an excellent knife selection for the kitchen. There all kinds of gadgets like juicers and waffle makers. I just wish I felt like I could move around a bit while I was there. If you are claustrophobic, forget it. We ran in to grab a gift for a family member. There are almost always coupons you get in the mail for 15 or 20% off at the store. It helps, because they are not cheap. But most everything I have from there is quality stuff. You will see a lot of merchandise that is gimmicky, but it’s easy to spot and to walk past. That’s more on the left side of the store and in the back.
