History

Established in 2010.

For many of us, our cars are the place where we spend the majority of our time — commuting or transporting kids from activity to activity. Being that this was especially the case for co-​owner and co-​founder of McCartney Kay Auto Cosmetics, Lyta Lanham, she began looking for ways to give her car real personality. That was when she found Carlashes™, and after learning that they did not have a representative in Georgia, Lyta and her husband, co-​founder Chris Lanham, began their family business journey.

The company name, McCartney Kay Auto Cosmetics, came from McCartney, their first daughter’s middle name, and Kay, which was Lyta’s middle name. Feeling that women should be able to accessorize their vehicles just as much as men, they created the business as a place where women could find all their «auto cosmetics» in one accessible and easy-​to-​find place, and thus, McCartney Kay Auto Cosmetics was born.
